Zax, the Season Point Total in the spreadsheet does not match up with my own records. I have 4 more points than I should have.

I found 2 errors in the spreadsheet that account for the difference:

-Week 2 PHI marked as win (should be WAS win)
-Week 3 NO marked as win (should be TEN win)

After correcting these entries my current total is 88 points rather than 92. As you've probably already surmised, these errors will also impact all other player point totals.

I hearby apologize to all fellow Bears faithful for letting my cynicism regarding our QB situation outrank my cynicism regarding the previously undefeated status of a team that can't run the ball and is being led by a 38 year old QB who made horrible decisions in his prime. I really should have known better.

It figures that the one week that I finally have a good set of picks is the same week everyone has a good set of picks. The only saving grace is that the Eagles had a bye and I finally had a weekend when I could relax.
Fly Eagles fly, on the road to victory.
Fight Eagles fight, score a touchdown 1-2-3.

Hit 'em low,
Hit 'em high,
And we'll watch our Eagles fly.

Chris Gwinn continues to pile it on. He's earned one Top Dog, but more importantly has finished in the top 5 in all but one week thus far. After five weeks, he holds a 4-game lead over 2nd place.

Pick of the Week: NE over CLE; 43 correct, 0 incorrect, 41 correct locks, for an average of 2.95 pts/game.

Mispick of the Week: GB over CHI; 5 correct, 38 incorrect, 1 correct lock, 7 missed locks, for an average of 0.09 pts/game. I'm ashamed to admit that I missed this one, and my wife didn't.

Game of the Week: DAL over BUF. I'll let my good friend TMQ sum it up: Then the Bills got possession again, still leading 24-16, and faced third-and-7 near midfield with 3:58 remaining. Again they threw -- incompletion -- again stopping the clock. Dallas didn't score its touchdown until 20 seconds were left: Had Buffalo simply run up the middle for no gain on either one of its late-fourth-quarter third downs, keeping the clock moving, the Cowboys would have run out of time and the home team would have won. In Week 1 -- when the Bills also lost on a field goal on the final play -- on a third down with about two minutes to go, the Bills also threw incomplete and stopped the clock; the Broncos kicked the winning field goal as time expired. TMQ's Law of the Obvious holds: Sometimes all a team needs to do is run up the middle for no gain, and things will be fine. Buffalo, 1-4, would be 3-2 today -- and talking about its monster upset of the Cowboys on "Monday Night Football" -- if the Bills' coaches had simply kept the clock moving with runs when holding late leads against Denver and Dallas. You have to work really hard to lose a game in which you were plus-5 on turnovers, but the Buffalo coaching staff was equal to this challenge.

Game of Next Week: ...and perhaps game of the season-so-far, NE @ DAL.

It'll be tough to come in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but I'm confident I can pull it off once we ban Chris Gwinn.

Wait, did I say that out loud? Crap.

Awesome. I know that feeling, and I know the levels of excitement one feels when opportunities to get back together come about. Live it up.
