There are also some rumblings about leaks from the Biden team about the Russian hack, which may have played a role. But most likely just a Trumpist being a good Trumpist.

Oh and I nearly forgot , my childhood best friend is R. Kelly, and he’s the one with the garage-bar. In fact, I met Bob Dylan through R Kelly.

If you don't know, Flynn's "suggestion" was literally to declare martial law and invalidate the election for states Biden won.

Per Haberman's article:
The big picture is that Trump is unanchored from reality and is open to arguments from lunatics like Sidney Powell, Mike Flynn, and Lin Wood, and that staffers like Mark Meadows (himself an administration-long liar and grifter) and WH counsel Pat Cippolone are the last bulwark against Trump's narcissistic impulse to burn the Constitution. The White House counsel, Pat A. Cipollone, and the White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, repeatedly and aggressively pushed back on the ideas being proposed, which went beyond the special counsel idea, those briefed on the meeting said. Mr. Cipollone told Mr. Trump there was no constitutional authority for what was being discussed, one of the people briefed on the meeting said.

Re: Election integrity and the transfer of power
My wife and I went on a walk this evening. We’ve been doing that a lot lately since the little one was born. Tonight we went to a new part of the neighborhood that we typically don’t go through. I saw at least 5 houses with Trump flags and yard signs still up. It seems foolish to have that stuff up this long after an election has been decided, but of course for them I guess the election is still happening.

Right. My incredulity is that Meadows and Cipollone can shoot down ideas all they want but Trump has zero impulse control. If he is leaning towards it, he'll eventually break down and try something. If Trump is shooting them down as too extreme well there would be at least that. This is all the worse with this Russia bullshit happening. One or the other is crazy but both at the same time? Yikes.Holman wrote: Sat Dec 19, 2020 7:13 pmPer Haberman's article:

I may be a cautious optimist but if The Leader were to declare martial law and a recount in certain states, he's going to realize why our military takes an oath to uphold the Constitution rather than indulge the whims of a would be despot.Jaymann wrote:Countdown to Biden inauguration as President:

Someone pointed out this morning that if he's turning to a Special Counsel run by Powell as his best option, then it means that literally everyone else has told him no. He went towards the "popular" person that he kept seeing on the TV because the actual people in charge are letting him to get bent.

I'm confused by this. My understanding is that she goes by "Dr" because she has a doctorate. Has she also made claims to being a medical "doctor" that I'm unaware of? Or are you in the camp that only people with medical doctorates can be "Dr"s? And everyone else should drop it from their names?

Though I guess I should have known by how you've done the other ones. It just seemed serious. Which confused me since I didn't think you, or anyone on this forum, were in that camp.Jaymann wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 12:07 pmIt's a joke, son.TheMix wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 12:04 pmI'm confused by this. My understanding is that she goes by "Dr" because she has a doctorate. Has she also made claims to being a medical "doctor" that I'm unaware of? Or are you in the camp that only people with medical doctorates can be "Dr"s? And everyone else should drop it from their names?
