Well, I certainly don't see them posting on my Facebook feed.
All of the Republicans I know:
(1) only want others to be happy as long as they conform to their narrow beliefs
(2) strongly believe that only the rich should enjoy benefits of civilized society, such as healthcare or education
(3) are xenophobic to some degree
(4) will shoot you if you use the words "gun" and "control" in the same sentence.

They will vote for Trump in at least as big of numbers a Democrats who don't like but will vote for Hillary. In the end the angry anti-establishment vote makes the difference and there is absolutely nothing anti-establishment about Hillary.

I think my biggest gripe right now is this increasing trend by Trump and others to say whatever hateful shit they want...and then claim they're only guilty of not being politically correct when called on it.

I will say that the US is fairly good at making sure neither party is in the Whitehouse for too long.
Voters haven't given a party three consecutive WH terms since Reagan/Bush. Ignoring the outlier FDR's four terms, the last time a Democrat succeeded another Democrat in the WH was James Buchanan (succeeded Franklin Pierce), and the last time a D succeeded a two-term D was Martin Van Buren following Andrew Jackson.
So yeah, that's a long time. People like to change horses every eight years as a rule and the Democrats will be fighting that precedent.

In a good sign for Democrats, Obama's approval rating just surpassed 50% for the first time in years (scoring 51% in one poll and 52% in another). That's higher than Reagan's 50% at the end of his presidency. Historically, the incumbent party can't win if the president's approval is underwater.
Speculation is that the low caliber of our current crop of candidates is making voters feel nostalgic for Obama already.

The market has been rocky but not down since Trumps run. It took a shit last June and has been rocky but ultimately sort of flat since then and it's been up (relative to recent history) for about two weeks. However, long that will last.
All that aside. I don't you average Trump voter cares about the market. Right or wrong.

That was a perfect example of scream crazy shit and then when people ask you to stop you call them the problem. Nothing "these days" about that conduct. It has been a standard Democrat tactic since I was born. Every single black Republican has been called an Uncle Tom for as long as I can remember. As with all name calling fights both sides see their name calling as justified or simply turnabout is fair play. Amazing to me that you guys see it so quickly across the aisle yet are blind to it from your own side.
I however recognize that both sides do it. Until everyone sees it as a problem for/from both sides it will continue.

I'm sure. Unfortunately for them they don't have the votes. Despite that they have made much progress. The thing is the support for controlling illegal immigration and getting tough on those sponsoring terrorism is YUGE! Those people have been told for some time that it would be dealt with as it has gotten steadily worse and crap like the gang of eight bill, Iran treaty, support of Muslim Brotherhood has made it obvious they were just being lied to.
Telling them it is for their own good because they are too stupid/religious/racist to know any better has dissolved any trust that has existed. Takes a lot to have so many people showing more trust in Trump than they do in the party leaders from either side. The animals are seizing control of the zoo.

Since Trump is in town with nothing to do, maybe he should go on over to the
Wiener Circle and get a Trump Footlong.
Famed hot dog stand The Wieners Circle will welcome Donald Trump to Chicago this weekend by selling 3-inch-long hot dogs, its owners announced Thursday.
All day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the stand at 2622 N. Clark St. will offer the microdogs in three bundles. Customers can buy a "Trump footlong," (one dog) a "Trump package" (two dogs) or a "Trump Super PAC" (four dogs with fries and a drink).

We should not be at a point politically where people purposely attend another political candidate's rally and shout down, bully, intimidate, and try to drown out speech. It's going to be spun every which way, but the reality is that it was a tense but not mostly non-violent atmosphere until after the rally was cancelled preemptively. Then some fights broke out. I don't see anything wrong with people gathering to protest anything, certainly not a political rally at a state-funded university. In fact, I'd have a problem with any prohibition on gathering to protest the rally. I do have a problem with intimidation and violence. But like I said, most accounts and evidence is that there was no violence until after it was called off and they tried to get everyone to disperse.
Trump's numbers are probably spun but he himself said over 25,000 supporters and 3,000 protesters (I'm inclined to believe more protesters but whatever). That's a lot of pissed off, disappointed supporters that are going to have to walk through a bunch of protesters. Never a good recipe.

Trump thinks he can defeat ISIS but he's too chickenshit to speak in Chicago.
The Chicago police handled the national NATO protests. The Chicago police chief is on tape having said that the crowds were under control and Trump could continue his event. UIC Campus police agreed safety was under control. The police weren't consulted and had no role in deciding to cancel.
If Trump wanted a low key event, he could have held it in the Chicago suburbs and not an urban campus in danger over getting shut down by a budget battle with the Republican governor. Trump didn't get the reception that would play well for him on TV, so he decided to play victim and turn his supporters against the protesters.
You are being played for sympathy in the new Trump reality show.
