That makes no sense to do anything that would hamper the UK's military, in light of recent NATO-wide diplomatic tensions with Russia.

Was tuned into The Rock Nation an online radio station. They did this Def Leppard countdown then did their "we're The Rock Nation" badass type sounding sign in quote....then play Blind Melon. Ehhh yaaa I think they're doing it wrong lol.

I was desperate for coffee yesterday, and since I had a $4 "make up" card from Starbucks, I thought I would stop there. Since the $4 was free, I thought I would get something fancy.
A white chocolate mocha sounded good. Hmmm.., what can I get for $4? Amazingly, the "tall" (rhymes with "small") is $3.95, with eye-gouging increases thereafter.
I am handed a tiny 8 ounce cup of mocha.

It was tasty enough, but I did not ascend to godhood as I thought was implied from that pricing scheme.

So whats up with chili powder? Seems to be two things with the same name. I can buy pork skins where it says chili powder as an ingredient and they can be damn hot. But the chili powder in my cabinet to make homemade chili with is not hot at all. Also the chips have a red tinge where the stuff in my cabinet is brown. What gives?

There's not like one single chili powder tree that everyone pulls identical chili powder shakers from. One guy might put a ton of cayenne into his chili powder, and another guy might omit it entirely.

How long has it been sitting in your cabinet?

I just had the tastiest most mouth watering melt in your mouth meatloaf ever....and I made it. I think the secret was using an entire onion for a 2lb meatloaf and sauteing it in butter first. I blew myself away.

I saw that pile of cars virtually stopped and my gut reaction would be to lane change before I got there because someone's going to do something stupid.

I've had enough people just decide to make me share my lane without notice that I try and always plan for it mentally.

I thought I had the clearance. The exit is one lane. I was in lane 3 of 4. I had lane 2 as a buffer against idiocy, and it still wasn't enough.

In 2016, Utah was rated the worst drivers in the US. Last year, we improved to only being third worst.

I'm an incredibly defensive driver because it's basically a free-for-all on the roads here. I fully expect that something like what happened to you can - and usually will - happen at any moment.

Even worse is if you hit their ass it's automatically your fault even if it isn't.

It's not that simple:
There is a pretty well-known presumption that rear-end car accidents are always the fault of the driver who rear ended the car in front. This is not always the case. The purpose of this article is to describe why, and under what circumstances, the driver of the vehicle that rear ends another vehicle may not always be at fault.
...
To prove that one driver was negligent in connection with a car accident, you must first prove that a duty existed. This is pretty simple, since all drivers owe one another a duty to exercise care when operating a motor vehicle. Second, you must prove the other driver breached their duty. Drivers can breach their duty of reasonable care in a number of ways; for example, by:
...
* failing to yield the right of way
...
However, it is possible for the driver of the car that gets rear-ended to be negligent as well.
...
In each of these examples, the driver of the car that gets rear-ended would likely be considered negligent. The legal impact of that driver’s negligence will depend on how much that driver’s negligence contributed to the car accident, and how your state treats accident situations where more than one party is at fault.
Which is why I have the dashcam.

In Maine it is, sometimes.

Backing out of a parking spot in any parking lot, the person backing up is always at fault if they hit another car. It doesn't matter if they were crawling slowly out between two big pickups, couldn't see anything, and the other driver was going too fast for the parking lot. The parked person is always at fault. I know. It sucked. All I saw our my back window was a blur and felt a bump, nicked the rear wheel well of his SUV. $600 in damage. All my fault.

I know that feeling. When I was 17 in a parking lot I pulled up a little too far at the end of an aisle because the sun was in my eyes and I couldn't see a thing and all I heard was screeching. The woman slid 10 feet into me and the cop guessed she was doing about 35+ in the parking lot. yet it was my fault and all the damage was my front quarter panel. (*^&(&^*%

Isn't that normal freeway driving? Based on the traffic in the right lanes I would have expected that to happen at any time.

I wouldn't say it's normal, but I'd sure as hell be cautious on 5 lane freeway where the left two lanes are empty, the middle one is moving quickly and the right two are basically come to a standstill. I'd also not likely be driving in the middle lane.

Ditto.

When I was able to drive in the HOV lane in the SF Bay Area, I get very nervous when the regular lanes are stopped and HOV lane is still moving at 50 mph. You just KNEW someone will cut in front of you from standstill, and your instinct is to speed up and deny them the gap...

On the left, there’s one additional and the divided HOV exit that is merging into it. In terms of traffic impingement, there wasn’t anywhere else to be.

True in Chicago. Only True in true in Detroit M-F 06:30-09:00 and 15:00-18:30. At other times your mileage may vary. Literally. Oi.

Someone said spanikopita I had to check myself from yelling SPIANKOPITA! It's weird the things that stick with you. When I'm old and senile and full of dementia... That's, what, five years away or so?... when I'm old and senile and full of dementia I'm pretty certain the orderlies are going to get out of me not being able to resist saying Polo after they say Marco. Maybe if Lawbeef goes mental with me he can start reciting Geico commercials back at them.

My chihuahua seems to love V8 Juice. I popped open a can with him in my lap and he kept trying to get to it. I put some on my finger and he loved it. So I poured him a tablespoon full in his bowl and he lapped it up fast. Might need to look into vitamins for him as he may be craving something he is missing. Or maybe he just loved V8. Didn't give him a lot. Was afraid the acid would upset his tummy.
