I loved the most recent episode, by the way. The early season was didn't impress, but they've really brought things together.
Spoiler:
The worst part about megathreads is when you have people making comments on two or three shows at once, each post without any context as to which show is being discussed.
Or, worse yet,
Spoiler:
spoiler tags with no indication of which show they belong to.

Indeed.
My intent is to post trailers and news about stuff coming up. As there are plenty that aren't going to spawn individual discussions, I prefer it to spawning 20 threads on the first page that will then die a slow death and be forgotten when it eventually comes out.

Sony Announces Horizon Series for Netflix, God of War Series for Amazon, and a Gran Turismo Show
Note only the Horizon Zero Dawn show is Netflix.
I'm going to guess they go anime for this, as I don't think even Netflix wants to throw enough special effects money at it to continually have robot dinosaurs and other animals show up in two out of every three scenes.
That being said, am I the only one who's watched the first half of Season 4 of Stranger Things?

I've watched the first episode of Stranger Things season 4. Still too early to tell if I like it or not, but I did enjoy the creature effects.

Is there no separate thread for Stranger Things? Anyway I just finished the last episode (Ep 7) of this batch of Season 4 last night and it was really fantastic. Some really nice storytelling elements drawing multiple plot lines together. A little odd that the main boys did not appear much but I guess they will make up for it in the finale. I will admit I did fall asleep during some of the episodes, but I was fully awake and engaged for the last one and it was like a full movie length. If you like “classic” horror movies like Nightmare on Elm St, this is like a really fleshed out (no pun intended) version of something like that, complete with lots of lore and origin stories.

Be sure to check out RRR. It's a ton of fun. Easily one of the best buddy comedy/historical drama/action epic/musicals I've ever seen.

Really? Isn’t it an Indian film? I’ve rarely come across one that I’ve liked. They seem to make movies that rely heavily on cultural references and sensibilities that I just don’t get. But there’s always a first. I’ll check it out.
….but the first time someone starts singing and then a shoe comes out of nowhere and knocks a bunch of people out, I’m done!

You're likely to be disappointed. It has all the Indian film trappings: dance numbers, that weird thing where the lyrics of the song describe what is happening on screen, questionable CGI, and tons of historical references I didn't get.

The fuuuuu...?? Then what are all those invoices I have been getting since 2004?! I demand the free version of OO that Coop is obviously getting, not some premium, pay-by-post model bullshit.

I get unlimited posting for just $25 per year because I successfully posed as poor.

I've just been making sacrifices to the OOverlords each Thursday night since 2004.
Back on topic, we watched the first two movies in the Stranger Things S4 grouping last night. They are indeed stranger.

I think the rule going forward should be that if if a show is mentioned more than twice, it gets its own thread. UNLESS that show features Mark Wahlberg, in which case the post gets immediately deleted and then the thread it was mentioned in is locked.

We should simply reformat the forum to have four threads:
COVID and Other Politics
Games
Shows and Films
Random Randomness

Covid should have its own forum.
Shows should be separate from Movies.
Bea Arthur should have her own forum.
I need a forum exclusively meant for covering what I'm planning on wearing on a day to day basis.
Rumpy and Sudy need a forum that's only for those who speak Canadian.
Siljanus needs a forum in which he can discuss his hobbies...well...the ones that society won't approve of, at least.

No forum is complete without a Daehawk's peanut butter and canned bean recipes to munch on while stripping bolts for which you have no wrench that fits.

She looks cool and a perfect fit. She is 19 or 20 so they can do more with the character than if she was a child.
A twisted new series from the mind of Tim Burton, Netflix’s “Wednesday” is set to premiere this coming Fall, and we’ve got a first look at star Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams out of Netflix’s “Geeked Week” this afternoon. Netflix kicked off their annual virtual celebrating with a short teaser trailer for “Wednesday,” along with an awesome image reveal.“Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships.”

Here's the actual teaser.
The article said this fall, but the teaser clearly says 'Wednesday'. That's tomorrow!

The character is a teenager in high school, so it would depend on what you mean by "more."

I mean, the synopsis of the show pretty much sounds like Sabrina.
As for homicidal? Doesn’t sound like Wednesday is in this if she’s trying to stop a murder spree.
