No, I should not. And no, it is not. Now stay on the other side of the room. Maybe behind a door would be best.

I guess in my head it just seemed totally natural, on the day that follows a night without a kill, to discuss who may have been converted.

It didn't seem like a totally random 'out of the blue' discussion to start...

Yeah, I don't see anything out of the ordinary about Unagi bringing up stessier being a convert. I too was wondering who would make a good convert. Many candidates, so few clues right now. But stessier would be a top choice.

I just did a little math - projecting misses...

DAY 2:
3 Bad vs. 7 Good

Just 2 misses (over 2 days) in a row puts us at:

DAY 4: Game Over
3 Bad vs. 3 Good

Yours does not make sense to me but I assume it matches:

10 Players - likely 3 evil 7 good
lynch - miss 6-3
night - kill 5-3
lynch - miss 4-3
night - kill 3-3
Game Over

So, yes, we have today and tomorrow if we do not get a save from the Chaplin or a lucky shot from the Terminator we are done. This just occured to you?

OK, well this day is not getting any longer.

How's this.

Instead of who you would like to see lynched.

Let's all place a vote for who you would like me to shoot.

Like this: Shoot Unagi

I will use this info to make my choice, perhaps in a stessier like way (i.e. totally ignore your 'votes').

Tonight I will make up my mind and post my intended target.
I will give that target a few hours (or perhaps overnight) to protest that I would be shooting a special.

We need time to do this, and we need time to actually get a lynch victim before Friday.

Sorry, I've given this some thought and felt this was to best way to proceed with this.

I'll be back.

It's one of those "I've got the Gun, so I'll just step out front now" impulses that nobody understands...

...until *THEY* hold the gun.

I would suggest removing actual votes from people until this is resolved, to avoid accidentally voting someone off while Unagi stands there with an unholstered weapon...

No, and in fairness, your made plenty of sense when I looked at it while not trying to answer a student's question about what to do with a negative exponent at the same time.

The reason I asked if you had just noticed was because it colors some of the manner in which I interpret your posts and reactions to mine. For instance, one of the things I was doing with voting you was thinking I was very o.k. with exposing our shooter today so pushing you to see if you would claim that role does not hurt us at all in my book. The reason I talk openly about it now is that I really think our shooter should come forward. Then the Priest can protect him and the Seer will not waste a scan on him. If we miss today then it does not hurt us (ie does not change the time table of when we lose/win) for him to take the shot tomorrow. Down side of his coming out today is that he is the only one we can trust tomorrow without confirmation.

I am not certain who I feel you should shoot but I would think it does us more good to shoot an active player than a passive one so that we have some sort of information to work with regarding the results.

Except it also occurs to me that we will not know the results unless the dead guy gets checked which means our lynch will not get checked and regardless we won't know until after we lynch today. Crappola.

I say you hold the shot and we let you be protected tonight so that the Seer gets a chance to name a target for you unless he already has one in which case he should come forward and announce it.

Yesterday-

Purge(1): Lassr

No Vote: Purge, Remus West, theohall

Today-

Unagi(1) - theohall

That's what I've been looking at so far today.
Although the one that Stands Out thus far to me rereading is Lassr (he seems to need to exonerate himself) that's consistent from Day One to Day Two.

If they converted the chaplin last night, and we wait a day - I'd be dead.

This game is going to lean very heavily for EC I think, so I am not so sure we can afford to 'hold my shot'.

I'm open to hear what everyone has to say about it though.

That said, I would be in favor of giving you trust and not making you take your shot today. Chances are slim that the protector was converted. It's odds, and then add self-protect to the mix and it's really not likely. That said, you have the gun...

Up to you. I still think we wait to see if we get a Seer with a valid scan target for the shot. After folks have checked in (or we close on the deadline) we vote for the shooting and you make your decision. Just in case though, I would shoot Theohall.

1. Purge
2. ChaosRaven
3. Remus West
4. Unagi
5. Stessier
6. Scoop20906
7. Austin
8. theohall
10. Mr. Bubbles
11. Lassr

================

10 Players - 1 Shot = 9
9 Players -1 Lynch = 8

8 Players -1 Killed = 7

7 Players = 4 Majority tomorrow

If Unagi does not kill Chaos, if the Lynch does not net Chaos, and Chaos kills someone other than Protected Proven (assuming chaplain lives) we are in a tenuous situation tomorrow, as 1 wrong vote would allow 3 Chaos to jump on (assuming that last night was a conversion)

Which would head into night with 3 Chaos having won.

We are still at three strikes, but one of them rests solely on Unagis shoulders here.

====================

Space Marine Librarian – Can detect the taint of Chaos. Can ask the true role of any player.

Space Marine Chaplin – The God-Emperor’s preacher in the Space Marine Chapter. Protector the Chapter’s soul. Can protect any player from conversion or infection.

Space Marine Terminator- Storm Bolter holds one holy shell. Will stop the Chaos Marine from taking another player if shot. Shot must be taken prior to the days lynch vote being final.

Space Marine Apothecaries- Must recover the Gene-Seed of executed or lynched Marines. The Gene -Seed will reveal if sign of chaos is present

6 Fellow Space Marine searching for the Chaos Taint

If there has been a conversion, one of the above is Chaos Marine.
If we have Ezekiel, Chaplain, and Apothecary alive today, then Chaplain can protect our Outed Terminator and at least we will know a few things tomorrow

If Librarian dies tonight, One Scan lost
If not, Two Scans potential

If Chaplain dies tonight, others alive

If Apothecary dies tonight, we should know in the morning as no GeneSeed recovered

Well, since he says he is definately shooting today I would place those odds at zero. Even had he thought the idea of holding off good (I still think it may be but he has a valid point about possibly already having lost the Chaplin) I would have thought it unlikely as he was not about to be lynched and would have had to put up or die tomorrow giving us a sure hit where we may have not had one before.

Can you use some other name than "Chaos" when referring to the bad guys. It makes for a confusing read otherwise.

I don't remember...what happens if we hit the deadline without a majority? Could he be stalling?

And he still has plenty of time to come around to your delayed shot line of thinking. I'm sure he will be most convincing if he does.

Intriguing idea.

Gather all the intel and then use it for the Explosion.
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.
