I'll Conquer Arabia, now that my counters there match the indigenous population.
Having done that, I'll found a company there, moving one counter from Arabia to my Merchant Fleet.

I understand why I rotated to the back of the line. But why did Isgrimnur (formerly 6th) and El Guapo (formerly 5th) swap positions?

Isn't the metaphor that we're seating around a table? So the sequence from the first turn should be constant, even if its starting position changes.

I was hunting for some obscure rule, so I'm relieved to learn that none exists.

I guess it might've mattered if we were near the endgame, but I don't think it makes any difference at this stage.

Now things get a bit more interesting.

I'd sorta banked on getting Explorer to work this turn. I probably should have just increased Seafaring, and waited for someone else to improve Economy to 4 before I did. I'm really low on controlled resource slots, ugh.

Lots of resources getting shipped to Market this turn...

So, does anyone feel like a bit of rebellion? :ninja:

My Viceroy/Rebel action:

Qantaga has two Monopolies. This will get him two more cheap Merchant Fleets this turn, giving him 4. He's not yet played the Sovereign/Conqueror card this turn(it's one of his two unplayed cards), and that could give him a total of 5 Fleets if he plays Conqueror as his last action of turn 2.

I could try dropping 2 Treasury into the West Indies this turn, but since he just added a 2nd token via Viceroy, that wouldn't flip it to my side.

5 Merchant Fleets is a lot, and I can't stop him.

So I'm going to play Rebel instead, and place 1 Unrest token in the West Indies, and 1 on his player board.

Reminder about Unrest tokens/Rebellions

A Rebellion can only be started in a territory with at least 1 Unrest tokens and no Missionary tokens. If a player plays a Rebellion in a territory, that player multiplies the Native Power of the territory times the number of Unrest tokens there, and rolls that many special dice.

For each success, that player removes 1 token from the territory, placing it in the player's general supply. It is possible to be forced to remote your own tokens. If this removes all the tokens, then the resource becomes uncontrolled.

In addition, if this causes a Colony to lose all tokens, then the territory becomes an Independent State. The Native Power of this region is doubled for all purposes, so it takes twice the tokens to Colonize. The player who controlled the Colony loses 1 Prestige. If the Booming City was in this territory, they lose a 2nd Prestige. The Booming City, however, remains there, uncontrolled. In this case, ignore the benefit of the City.

Unrest tokens on player boards reminder

During the final phase of a turn, Interest, for each Unrest token a player has on their player board, that player must pay 1 towards each outstanding Loan they have. Note that this does not actually increase the amount owed, it's simply a forced payment. If they cannot pay, nothing happens.

When a player receives a 3rd Unrest token on their board, there is a Revolution at Home.

Revolution:
The player discards all Treasury
The player discards all Unrest tokens on his board
The player will not be allowed to play cards during this Endeavor phase, except during Last Chance
Then, this player gains 1 Prestige

So, basically, don't let things get that far. :P

Removing Unrest

The Ambassador can remove 1 Unrest from the main board, in addition to changing Diplomacy track status.

The Missionary can flip Unrest markers to their Mission side, or add Mission tokens. No Rebellions are possible in a territory with a Mission token.

Finally, the Sovereign can optionally remove Unrest from a player's board. This can occur even if War is not declared.

The board is getting a bit more crowded. Notice the Booming City in Angola. This board is before any of us have played actions on round 4.

The Google spreadsheet updated to the beginning of Turn 2, Endeavor Action 4 is here. Let me know if there are any corrections.

Oh, I see how it is in "civilized" Europe. England opens the New World in a show of good faith and peace to our neighbors and this is the thanks we get. ;)

England will play its Merchant.

Since I have two Merchant Fleets, I believe the way it works is:

1 shipped to Portugal for the Booming City
1 shipped to England.

SpaceLord, If the Booming City is an "extra," forced shipment and doesn't use up a Merchant Fleet, let me know and I'll gladly ship a second unit to England. :)

I miscalculayed Qantaga's Prestige, forgetting the New World bonus. I also had his Treasury wrong, he has 8 now.The spreadsheet and summary above was just corrected.

You don't ship (as I understand it) to any country; rather, you ship "to market." You then control the resulting resources in the market pool, however, so while Portugal gets a bonus for that shipped good, you then have 2 resources in the market pool just as if both goods had come from your territories.

Remember(I know it's confusing), Merchant ships tokens to the Market.

The forced BC shipping is not 'extra.'

England places 2 blue tokens in the Market.(1 from their red/beige resource, and 1 from Angola, forced by Booming City)
Portugal gains 1 token in Treasury, bringing them to 3.

We sent an expedition to Peru hoping that we can put a foothold in America and bring home more gold.

As a side note, I don't think people need to color their actions. I can tell it's England doing something by the fact that you write, "England does X". Coloring it blue only makes it extremely difficult to read on the black background format.
