Trifles light as air are to the jealous confirmations strong as proofs of holy writ: this may do something. The Moor already changes with my poison: dangerous conceits are, in their natures, poisons which at the first are scarce found to distaste, but with a little act upon the blood burn like the mines of Sulphur.

Work on, my medicine, work! Thus credulous fools are caught; and many worthy and chaste dames even thus, all guiltless, meet reproach.

Cassio: Whom will you protect?
Team Evil: Whom will you slay?
Roderigo: Around whose house will you skulk?
Emilia: Whose belongings will you search for the handkerchief?

It's starting to look like the end of Hamlet in here: the stage is littered with bodies and nobody is happy about it.

I'm choosing

 Chaosraven

because people suspected him before, then backed off out of niceness, and that's always wrong in this kind of play.

Sorry about that! First game and all.

 Withdraw Chaosraven

because apparently I don't know night from day.

(Breaking the fourth wall to clarify: this was an honest game mechanics mistake, not some attempt at a wheels-within-wheels fakeout.)

Only votes during the day count (unless rules say otherwise - which has never happened to my knowledge). You could have fun accusing people all night long, but it won't do anything.

Yeah, cause a bad guy would never say that. :P

So will I turn her virtue into pitch, and out of her own goodness make the net that shall enmesh them all."

So anyone interested in flipping over the rock known as RMC and see what's underneath?

Might be an idea to actually discuss this one, since there is a high potential if we miss we lose.

Yes!

That's gotta hurt. You protect Trig or yourself?

That swings the odds to us if Emilia is still on our side. Emilia, you out there?

Ah, but illumination I have for all of thee!

One of our group hath much to answer for, yet presum'd I am that his words shall lack for adequacy.

Ah, but we have caught one, methinks. Caught one indeed.

Here's the problem - if you scanned CR and he is evil...he's been playing like someone who's been wanting to be voted for. Only one evil one really wants that...the zerker. Just saying is all. CR really hasnt posted much so we dont have much to glean from him, well outside of those who are poking or avoiding him or being neutral toward him.

What's he going to tell us? Whether he is Emilia or Rodrigo? Doubt I would trust anything he says.

But holding my vote and going to bed.

If I read it correctly trig, if you got evil, then it is either converted Emilia or Rog.

Also, we have to be very, very careful not to lynch Iago today.

triggercut
Lassr
Stessier
RMC
Chaosraven
Newcastle

"Trig, what the hell are you doing?"

Look, I scanned a person of ill intent last night.

1. If we believe stessier is on the up and up--and I cannot make the logic work that he isn't Cassio--then I think I scanned a badguy last night.
a.) badguys were blocked last night.
b.) which means Cassio is still in the game, therefore
c.) stessier is Cassio. I'll not waste a re-scan on him to prove as much.

2. If newcastle is Desdemona, then I scanned a badguy last night.
a.) no one counterclaimed newcastle's Desdemona role
b.) given that, I assume newcastle is Desdemona.

With that out of the way, my scans:

1. Night one, I scanned stessier and was told he was a foe. I held that info.

2. Night two, I scanned Lassr and was told he was a friend. Later in the day I spilled that I was Othello and the results of my scans. Both newcastle and stessier claimed their roles.

3. If stessier and newcastle are both on the up and up--and right now both appear to be as such--then there is no other role that may be claimed that doesn't result in us hanging the claimer, and Emiliana falls into that category.

4. Night three--and this is the biggie--I scanned RMC. I was told he was a foe.

By rule then, RMC must be either Roderigo OR converted Emiliana.

Either way he has to be executed today.

My little fun with Chaosraven was meant to see if I could get a response from him or a bandwagon jump from others. Didn't really go anywhere. Don't have too many conclusions to draw from it.

In any event, RMC certainly appears to be our man.

Good news - I self protected last night. Trig lives one more day.

Be wary - if we lynch Iago, he will blow up Desi which will kill Othello.

Quite true. Happily, RMC cannot be Iago, so he's a safe lynch today.

After that...I got nothing.

Agreed about RMC. I just wanted to get it out there before I'm dead. :)

I have to say, Lassr's vote against Chaos struck me as odd. I don't think he should be rescanned, but I wonder if Chaos is not Iago.

I'm around. I am going to hold off on voting and see if we can drag any further analysis out. Since I am sure someone is going to die tonight (i'd bet stessier to neutralize him), then tomorrow eve it will be Triggercut.

So stessier, any grand analysis, thoughts etc.

Since RMC is evil and is not hte exploding one....then he gets lynched today.

However, we have to figure out who is the 'zerker. I still place a high potential on CR being that, due to how he's acted. The other I would think fills this role would be Theohall. Both have been acting super odd and out of character. Something that I would think a 'zerker would do. Leave no real in game trails and draw a massive amount of attention. Because purely put, the 'zerker wants to get lynched first.

Obviously this doesnt take into account emilia as well...and now that i think about it. I think I know who emilia could potentially be or have been. Team evil cant activate emilia right?

GRUND - does the hankie rotate around players? Is the hankie given to a team evil player at all? Or will the hankie be given to a goo dplayer? What happens if a person who has the hankie dies or is lynched. I'll peruse the FAQ next to check on any answers here as well.

One person gets the hankie and knows it. Emilia has to scan someone new every night.

To answer my own questions

-the conversion is self converting - team evil cant have a hand in it

-the hankie doesnt rotate around, the player who had it at the outset has it now (unless emilia stole it)

-team evil is not given the hankie

Here's the next thing I am also wondering...the kill patterns....we know it was RMC and 1 other person...minimum. How does killing LL & Q create any pattern...why would they choose them over others? Were they trying to get CR, BB & Remus to go after each other giving themselves cover?

Re: Othello, The Moor of Venice (GAME ON!)

Would it hurt if i threw out a guess as to who I think emilia could be?

Re: Othello, The Moor of Venice (GAME ON!)

Posted: Fri Dec 14, 2012 2:00 pm
by Newcastle
Next question - would emilia want to self reveal now and state who they are? They win if they are on team good and win on team evil. They in essence get to pick a side.

IF they reveal now, we assume they are good. We also can lynch them if we dont win by killing 2 evils. Game in hand for team good.

If they choose to stay quiet then they choose to play on either side and could still win with team evil.

I really think we need to tease out the options of what Emilia could or could not do and the options that they have before them.
