After a Day filled with love and happiness, the contrast of night was more than a sun/moon thing. Evil loomed, and churned the temple inscribing itself on the dreams of the priests. When they awoke from what little sleep they endured, there was no question that something bad had happened. This was not bad figs, nor was it the cheap booze Remus had dumped in the sunshine punch before he entered the ring. It was a sense of dread. Dread curtains that locked in despair while keeping out all but traces of the Divine's light.

"Curtains!" exclaimed Zurai. "We have to check on Sean!"

Every priest that knew Sean, knew of his fondness for curtains. Unagi was first to Sean's small section of the temple. Sean had done some nice work creating a home for himself with drapes of vivid reds, greens and tasteful browns. Unagi pulled back the curtains just as the other priests arrived.

"Nobody here", he mused to himself.

He noticed a sticky wet on on his left hand, which still held the curtains back. As he heard the others gasp, he released the fleshy curtains which swung back down in front of his face. (You'd think he would have noticed on his approach) He stared into Sean's lifeless eyes as the two curtain sides rejoined to mend the face, if you could truly call it mending. Sean had been flayed, split and hung as two sickly ornate curtains.

Stessier wretched. "He's been split in two and hung as a curtain! I think they new of his powers."

Pretty much everyone else looked at Stessier with a shrug. "Thanks High Priest Obvious" was heard murmured against the thick inaudible din of evil.

It's curtains for Sean, Minister of KtSP.

OK Newcastle, you want discussion - lets hear it.
I'd like to hear your opinion on everyone here.
Same goes for all of you priests of questionable morals.

Hold back now? Why?

stessier, I think we pull back here and let the temple figure things out for themselves.

Let's watch and listen to them discuss who should be next for a bit.

Fine with me. I'll be flying anyway. :)

I'd actually like to hear what Zurai thinks as well as the "questionable morals" group. I believe he is the Wearer of the Furry Handcuffs, but he's been quiet, is new to this group, and I think might have some insight because of it.

Here is the vote breakdown of the last vote

stessier acc Remus West (1)-
Scoop20906 acc Remus West (2)
Unagi acc Remus West (3)-
pr0ner acc Remus West (4)
pr0ner wd Remus West (3)
Lassr acc Remus West (4)-
Remus West acc Remus West (5)-
Scoop20906 wd Remus West (4)
Pr0ner acc Remus West (5)-
Scoop20906 acc Remus West (6)-

6 Votes for Majority

No Vote Registered:
Sean, Minister of KtSP, RevHempus71, Newcastle, Zurai

--> Interesting to note that Pr0ner and Scoop20906 pulled their votes off Remus West. RevHempus71 and Newcastle did not register a vote. Lassr voted in the "safe wolf" vote position of 4 votes out of 6. Scoop20906 placed the final kill vote even though he posted several times he did not feel Remus West was a demon.

My thoughts:
Lassr
Newcastle
pr0ner
RevHempus71
Scoop20906 = Priest
Unagi = Sword of Ehud
stessier = Mason
Zurai = Bracers of Endor

I was hoping we could talk more yesterday, however, what happened happened. It's just that well, i thought we could talk more. Unagi, unfortunately stessier, zurai and yourself are acting with one less piece of information than the temple. However, having said that, you guys are in the trusted pool and that helps us a lot out. be careful when making choices here.

Couple of ideas struck me.

1. Stessier - when you go through the mason forums do you get a sense of anyone who CR was trying not to highlight? Did you have any idea of anything? Was he trying to avoid discussion of certain people? You were talking to him i assume frequently. And he was converted on night 1, he must have let something slip. Did it ever occur to you that he had been converted? As you mentioned they knew about you from the get go. SO i wonder if when you go back though the thread if there is anyone who struck you as reacting odd to you and CR? Does anyone else see any strange interactions? The other thing, you mentioned that CR was talking about coming out the day before? Why was that? Do you remember his rationale?

2. Unagi - what makes you trust Rev? You mentioned something earlier in the thread that he did something. Please share.

3. Zurai what are your thoughts? Now's not the time to hold em in.

Now, next part - I think it's clear that the wolves are striking at our trusted folks. And we are pretty much in a race with them in this matter. We need to lynch one today.

Now as far as Remus I probably would have voted for him yesterday. I was truly wondering if his bit on the first day was an act to get trust, and when the heat was on he did back away stating that it was a fishing expedition. This actually gnawed at me as the game progressed. Unfortunately it was as he said, and the only way it was proven was by his lynch.

Now - Sean? Why would folks take out Sean? Was he hot on to someone? That is an angle worth thinking about. The only other angle I could see in taking him out was that he held ht epower of two votes. That to me would be a prime rationale. Whom was he pointing a finger at yesterday? Your thoughts?

As far our suspect pool -

1. Scoop - i still dont trust him. I'm wondering about his going haywire act on day 1. He did bring a lot of heat. BUt then again he brings up a good point. Why would he do that? IS that a defense? Or is this along the same lines of remus, this type of inquiry? Or did he see the potential in getting trust. Yesterdday also, i dont know if it was pure frustration or not. It seemed that way.

2. Lassr - He seems to have played a straight and narrow and cautious game. Is this in the lines of trying to lay low? I couldn't find too much on lassr that would indicate one way or another. Voted for scoop. Did he know remus was going to come out innocent?

3. Proner - he has been relatively quiet. Popping on here and there to add an opinion here and there. I know he is usually a quiet person, but still nice to hear more. Seemingly quick to vote for Remus....then backed off, then on again.

4. Rev - Grund seemed to have trusted him enough to PM him on the night he died. Why? Rev also has been playing a relatively safe game I think. He has been playing kind of an aw shucks game. In that he seems to have gone with the flow of things.

5 - Newcastle - I am obviously in the suspect pool. I know i am innocent you dont.

Now, you see my problem is this...there are 5 of us left...of these two are the guilty ones. I seem to raise more questions about people than i seem to be able to answer.

Unagi has been proven beyond a doubt, Stessier as well due to his mason status, and....

Zurai has not been counterclaimed. And the only missing person whom i think could counter claim woudl either be baktosh or truicy. Baktosh we suspect is the staff holder (zurai confirms), while truicy I dont think would have suicided if he were a special. Does everyone share this opinion? Not to through doubt on you zurai, but we need to be sure in terms of the suspect pool we are looking at. I want to make sure we are thorough and not overlook anything.

So where does that leave us. We have to hit one evil one today. Do we have any clear suspects. Maybe what we should do is look at our suspect list, and reverse it? Give those who we have given an innocent pass a more thorough look. It might give us something, it might not give us anyting and we go back to those who are pinging hard on our radar. Basically am suggesting this so we can look at our situation at a different angle.

The bottom line is that we have two folks here who are not looking for a temple victory. It's up to us to stop 'em. We are in a good position i think, if things go right we hit one today, and nail another one tomorrow. If things go bad...we miss today and tomorrow..and we lose...if we hit one today or tomorrow, we take this to the final day. So basically we have up to three days to figure this out. Let's get this done in two.

Thoughts, questions, ideas?

Who are you folks not getting a good read on? There are more of us then them.

I showed everything I could find here.

It looks like Chaos let me talk to myself. He didn't propose anything or steer any conversations. He waffled whenever possible. Very nice job.

The only thing he was consistent on was that Balaam was quiet. Well, since there is only Scoop and 4 quiet people left, I'll have to believe him as at least one Bad Guy is quiet. :)

And I think I found where he was converted...something like post 26. He was gone for a long time and then returned with "Sorry, I was out shopping." I'm guessing that is where he went to the Evil Boards and planned everything. Sadly, the first 20 of the 26 posts were setting up the 20 threads on everyone and the other 6 were along the lines of "Holy Cow, there are Secret Masons!!!"

Posting as I get a chance:

First up:

Scoop

Voted for me on day 1 and day 2 without much of a reason. I cast a vote back at him because of how he was flip flopping around trying to find a bandwagon to hop on. Once he got 2 votes on him he flipped out. Felt like a ploy to get everyone to back off thinking he was innocent. I've stayed on him this whole game and he becomes apologetic to me on occasion and joking with me as if to say, "Hey, I'm friendly, Can't we all just get along." And yet still presses that he thinks I'm a demon which I know I am not.

Above he mentions he didn't want to cast that last vote because he felt Remus was good although most of us felt he was evil the way he had been so erratic the whole game. What clued him in? Inside info?

Next up RevHempus when I get a chance.

Stessier, its called analysis. I was just showing the last vote to help us get a gauge on what people have done. I'm not Grund or Chaosraven. Turn into a mentalist if you want a beginning to end list from them.

However, what you quoted was my opinion and it NOT merely based on the last vote but the whole game. Frankly, I have an incredibly poor record in these games so I doubt my opinion counts for much so there you have it but here goes AGAIN:

Lassr - I felt he has been playing very careful/friendly all game. Smells like Balaam. I have known Lassr to be very aggressive but not in this game.

RevHempus71 - I can't read Rev. He is incredibly good at playing his part consistently. When you can't read someone, you can assume the worst. I don't want to get beat by him if he is Legion.

pr0ner - Active for pr0ner but not very active. He has got on the votes tho. I think he is innocent but don't feel comfortable betting my life on it.

Newcastle - As I said before, if he is a demon he has me completely fooled.

Ok, there you go. Vote off the guys I trust and and you have a very good chance of winning the game.

I am a priest. Stessier if you kill me, you are screwing the game up for us.

I scanned Remus last night. Nothin' goin' there; simple priest. I'll be pretty quiet until late tonight, because I have a D&D session I'm DMing tonight, and I havn't nearly completed preparations. I probably won't be back actively posting until after 11 eastern. I do caution the village to go slow today. We really need to hit a Demon today.

Gah, the forum is slow today. Makes it hard to dig back in the past.

He has been a LOT more active in the others games he's played. LIttle less noticeable in this game.

Scoop, just so we can all have a chance to trust Newcastle... could you point out where you've been saying that you trust him? Also - if those posts don't do it, could you explain why (for instance) you trust him, but not Lassr or Rev. I'm also interested in your position on pr0ner too. You seem to give him a little bit of a nod too...

With someone as normally 'involved' as Newcastle to be this abscent for this long - and with No Role, I am a little alarmed that you just brush him off.

Newcastle and Pr0ner:

Newcastle has been absent more than he's been present. Says he was watching the thread but not participating, not even to vote in some rounds. His silence really bothers me. His participation the last 2 days though has been much better. He appears to be making an effort to help the village. But that silence the first few days...

Pr0ner: Pops in to vote and activity has been about normal for him. But what does that mean? I don't know. I recall him making a few obvious comments (taking over the role of Mr Obvious from CHaosraven this game :) ) as if he's acting like he was trying to help.

Lassr:

A damn Demon if I've ever seen one!

Have I been more quiet this game. Yes. Have I led many charges. No.
Tried on Scoop the first day but no one followed. (Did get a 2nd vote from someone else that caused Scoop to flip out).

I'm powerless and lacked some interest in the game early due to time constraints in RL. Which also led to me keeping some piss poor notes on this game.

That's fine, please take your time with this.

Just a heads up.
I did a search on posts by you that mention the word: Newcastle.

All I saw was your very recent mention of him. Really, other than that - you two had a very brief exchange way back on Day 1 when you had your little fit. Newcastle was one player that was willing to vote for you while that was going on. Almost everyone else was fixated on Grund, Remus, and I.

It's interesting.

You've never once been suspicious of him this whole game, but everyone here that has played with him (and you have) has found his game a little concerning. You have voiced with a nice degree of drama how totally important it is that we proceed with care, and yet you treat Newcastle like he's even got posts to build trust on. He doesn't. Newcastle is truly Whocastle in this game, but you have him figured as Good-Guy. :?:

Your assessment is correct, Unagi. I think my trust of Newcastle is mainly based on my lack of trust of the others and a gut feeling. Newcastle's post have been mainly of moderation. When I had my "fit", it was Newcastle's vote that set me off but it wasn't Newcastle himself that was the reason. I was just frustrated.

Newcastle should be considered a viable suspect as well. I was just trying to narrow down the choices because frankly, I got no real idea who is Legion and Balaam. Maybe later this weekend I will try to look over the posts of the suspects and make more educated guess but RL is calling. Analysis will have to wait.

4. Rev - Grund seemed to have trusted him enough to PM him on the night he died. Why? Rev also has been playing a relatively safe game I think. He has been playing kind of an aw shucks game. In that he seems to have gone with the flow of things.
Why?.... because I am innocent. Going with the flow..... I believe the trusted know I have not been going with the flow. I feel I have been more participatory and have used real reasoning to make my own decisions. Yes, before you try to confuse things, I did ask Unagi who to vote for in the thread. However I am sure he recognized it as a rhetorical question. Simple I felt that we are at the point that both badguys can't afford to be on the same vote. So that being said.... The only non Remus votes were YOU, me, Zurai(trusted), and Sean(trusted). Newcastle... or shall I call you Balaam..... what you got to say about that??

RevHempus71:

He was very timid on the Remus vote. Asked a lot of questions but never voted for Remus.

First off... I wasn't timid on the Remus vote. I had him in my mostly trusted file and thus did not want to vote for him. I beieve I said that more than once. Yes, I asked a lot of questions and you all gave the trusted players much to read. Saying I was a LOT more active in past games is a bad charcterization of me. Past games I posted more often but it was mostly BS pothead stuff nothing really pertaining to the game at hand. Last, I find it hard to believe I have been less noticeable since I have been on everyones suspect list at some point in time. Lassr back to you.....
......
Huh..... Pr0ner ..... I am leaning towards his priestlyness.
RevHempus71 - I can't read Rev. He is incredibly good at playing his part consistently. When you can't read someone, you can assume the worst. I don't want to get beat by him if he is Legion.
First... thanks for the compliment. Second... assume ... we know what happens when one assumes anything. Last, no worries mate, I am innocent.

All this being said my vote is leaning Newcastle/Balaam, Scoop#/Legion.
I am almost 100% that one of those 2(if not both) are absolutely Demon.

This has been brought to you buy the " aw shucks" playing style of..... ME. 8-)
Sheesh...... May I please get out of the corner now???? I promise to behave........

He has been a LOT more active in the others games he's played. LIttle less noticeable in this game.I know these are quick and short.
Thank you. Less active means you were less active whether it was serious posts or pot jokes. It's a change in behavior, that's what I noticed. Whether less jokes about pot means anything I don't know. But you were so sure about Remus being innocent, when the majority of us were sure he was guilty. What did you see that we did not see? (the bad guy forums?)
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Lassr I didn't see anything in particular. It was just a gut reaction to his posts. They didn't feel all that thought out to me. I think a badguy Remus would have been more careful in his reactions to people. He was very pokey in his posts. All of them felt like info attempts not misdirection. Goodguys use info, badguys use misdirection. Most of all I thought a bad Remus would kill Chaos not convert him.

Yeah, that seems to be a common theme in my life.

So, anyway, "WE"?

All jokes aside Rev... You truly would be my number 1 pick of a person likely to convert Chaos.

...and that 'we' is sitting there... What place does the word 'we' have in that sentence at all?

That was really your plan there? To give the bad-guys something to point at?

I am trying not to let it color my decision on Rev, but I really would like to hear how he thinks it got in there. It scream mental slip where he was typing something up, went back and edited it and then let the we. So, maybe Rev can remember what the original message was.

I thought he said that he purposefully put it in there to catch a bad-guy.
