My only problem is that, while I force myself to jump up right away (which only requires five seconds of willpower), every once in a while I'll drift off again and wake up an hour too late. It doesn't make me later for things, but it does throw off my rhythms for a day or two.

Anyway, it turns out that sun lamps with clocks already exist, but it is still a very low priority item for me.

Late to the conversation but why not.

I'm 53 and still haven't really had a bad hangover. Of course I tend to drink one beer with food. Two if we've gone to a brewpub or something like that. Which makes me feel a little conflicted - between my wife and I we drink 8-10 beers a week so it always feels like we are buying beer yet I don't feel like I drink a lot.

I did it again. I set the alarm for 8am planning to hit the snooze until 9am. But I didn't go to bed until 3am. But still it went fine until at 9am I realized it was Sunday so I went back to hitting the snooze. Did that until noon. Thats all fine. But tomorrow I want to be up at 8am so I can do the weedeating of the yard before it gets to 100 degrees. Oh well. If I do I do if not then I dont. I got all my life to weedeat. Doesn't matter if I get up or not anymore. Days are just days no big deal.

Looking at the forecast tomorrow will be the hottest day or the week at near 100 so yard will wait a few days :)

As for pain I know that shit well...unfortunately. I thought I could cut down or out the ibuprofen by now but no. My hands I damaged in Feb are never going to be healed better than now so they will always ache and get worse with age. My back is back to its old OMG IT HURTS self since Im refusing pain management. Wishing for things that can never be,

That sleep you get from 8 until 9 with the periodic snoozing doesn't do you any favors. You never get down to the level of sleep that actually benefits you.

Do yourself a favor. Next time, just set the alarm for 9 and get up. You don't need much willpower to get up. You don't have to have the willpower to clean up, or get dressed, or make the bed. Just gather the willpower to stand up. That's three seconds of willpower. Once you've crossed that line, the rest will take care of itself.

The only thing I enjoy about the snooze is I seem to dream stuff I remember more of. Instead of just knowing I dreamed something but no idea what I can remember parts of them.

Heard a commercial for Johnson & Johnson I think it was. The ad mentioned that they also helped treat AIDS. My instant thought was "Of course you treat AIDS and not cure it. With a cure you only get paid once. If you treat it you get money for the life of that patient"...Bad thought on my part but I think its accurate to a degree.

Its like even as a teen in the 80s I heard adults say stuff like they probably found a cure for cancer and many other things but why do that when you can make money by nor curing it. Ive always wondered.

If you're having too much trouble cutting your bedtime back (and have no pressing commitments), push it forwards. Stay up a couple hours later each day and set your alarm for 8 hours. Eventually you'll cycle your way through the clock.

I really hate chewing out relatives or semi relatives, as it is.
But they just have no sense of, I can't think of the right word. Politeness isn't it.
Basically borrowing my stuff without asking, truck, tools, lawnmowers, etc and sometimes not returning them, ever, not to mention leaving them out in the weather.
<sigh>
Well, maybe I pissed them off enough they'll leave me alone.
No, they need to use my washer and dryer tomorrow.

Had a customer come into the shop the other day complaining that, because she's a Trump supporter, Cox was allowing hackers into her system to load all kinds of "bad stuff" and "fake news" into her PC to slow it down.

I have trouble following the thought process that steps from "I showed up and didn't have sex" to "I want you to die in a fire"

The bridge between the two points is just too damn far in my mind. Like you can't even see one from the other ... let alone step over a tiny gap and move into action.

Are you old enough to remember this ad? It ran for 14 years, so odds are good that you do.

This is an amusing story about where little Anthony is today.
“I always understood that it was larger than me, that I had a responsibility to preserve what that commercial meant to people,” Martignetti says. “I knew that if I got in trouble, little Anthony from the spaghetti commercial would be all over the paper.”

The one time his name appeared in the news was in 2004, in a court case in which he accused his supervisor at a Stop & Shop distribution center of constantly berating him with Italian ethnic slurs like “meatball.” The matter was settled out of court.

Was getting the mail from our mailbox bank the other day, and saw a woman walking towards me. I thought - she looks cute...

... when she got closer, it was Mrs. Kub.

On the positive side, that's kind of sweet after almost 15 years of marriage. On the negative side, she can get a bit jealous, and I'm not sure whether she'd feel flattered or wonder why I was mentally evaluating a strange (in theory) woman.

Safer to keep to myself, I think...
