Please look over your boards carefully. I try to be exact, but given the way we're playing this game, it's entirely possible for me to miss placement of a doubloon or somesuch. Lemme know.
On with the second governorship of Newcastle!

i am pretty sure you are off on yoru doubloon count for me, i think i am suppose to have 1.
- i spent 5 for teh office that brought me to zero
-then i took the mayor and that brought me to 1 doubloon.

For my turn -

that should net me 4 doubloons there right?

3 + 1 as your perq, yes. All previous posts updated to reflect your doubloon correction, too.
Since you're the only player with crates, that ends the Trader turn. Trade House looks like this:
Trade House
- tobacco
- indigo
- tobacco
- ---
Selection proceeds to Chaosraven:
- Builder (+1)
- Captain (+1)
- Craftsman (+1)
- Mayor
- Prospector

My board looks right. I can't really count the VP tokens, but it looks roughly correct. Incidentally, is the number of VP tokens public information, beyond a quick gander at how high the stack looks? From the ASCII report my guess is "no", but I just want to confirm.
Also - thanks for running the game - it's fun.

The Rules state that each player should keep his VP count obscure. This is to discourage too calculated a game.
By PM, I'll tell each player what my spreadsheet says about his victory points.
Also - thanks for running the game - it's fun.
I'm glad.

You have a crazy hectic job going on and are making an excellent go of it for a fun and well paced game. I tried to watch the entire game but then started screwing up more than I was keeping track, so I went to just trying to paying attention to me.

I will end up producing 2 Indigo and 1 Corn.
My read says:
CR 1 corn, 1 indigo, 1 sugar
LM 2 indigo, 1 corn
Q 1 corn, 1 sugar
EG 1 indigo, 2 tobacco
NC 1 tobacco, 1 corn
Leaving plenty for
CR for +1 Sugar
and putting me in a PITA position. I suppose I will build a small sugar mill for free after quarry and + 1 Doubloon, bringing my Doubloon total to 6.

If I read the board correctly (please correct me if i am wrong - LM & Q double check me please)
Chaosraven - 1 indigo, 1 sugar, 1 corn and (Extra Sugar for me if there's any left. Corn if not.)
LM produces - 2 indigo, 1 corn
Qantaga produces - 1 sugar, 1 corn
El Guapo produces - 1 indigo and 2 tobacco.
Newcastle produces - 1 tobacco & 1 corn

Is there a finite supply of goods? Or is the reason that CR was worried he might not get any was due to them being held up in boats & the trade house?

Newcastle wrote:Is there a finite supply of goods?
Yes. Everything you see is WYSIWYG. When warehouses come into play, such as the two small warehouses in play now, hoarding becomes common. Then goods are first come first served. The captain's privilege of one extra good happens after everyone else has produced.
Strategically when goods start to become hoarded the game changes dramatically as well. Ships will come back and fill up instantly as one player empties their warehouse.
I debated building a large warehouse this turn to protect my indigo but by the time I could get it manned it would likely be too late. I debated shipping but one doubloon and one extra VP doesn't really advance my cause over the course of five or six more turns, especially while letting everyone else ship.
I probably chose poorly but I hope not.
...
I don't see me making time and oompth to host a game. I'm impressed by those who do.
Maybe that will change. I don't know but right now, it's pretty much off the table.

I'll build a factory for 6 doubloons (7 - 1 quarry).
Grund, it looks like the write-up in the second post of the thread on buildings reversed the details of factories with universities - I believe the factory is the one that gives bonus doubloons based on production diversity.

Large Market for 5 doubloons (4 doubloons in hand, +1 from quarry = 5)

I was looking at the text descriptions, but the entire descriptions were switched, not just the price:
university: cost: 7, capacity: 1, VP value: 3, quantity: 2 (Craftsman: receive doubloons for diversity of product line)
factory: cost: 8, capacity: 1, VP value: 3, quantity: 2 (Builder: purchased building already has a colonist)
So since I couldn't just go by that, I looked at the picture. Missed the house rule.

So, since I apparently can't build a factory, I'll build the final small sugar mill for 1 doubloon (2 - 1 quarry), leaving me with 5 doubloons.
