if you can't return it, you can play it on your computer DVD drive (then rip an unencoded copy if you are so inclined)

Of which you can do 4 times. So I can watch the movie two times and then never watch it again.

Just on the news...a goofy couple heard a noise downstairs so hid in their closet and called the police. It was their Roomba. They had only had it 2 days. Sigh.

The Cask of Orange Hi-C
Earlier this week, Colorado Springs, Colorado, day care owner Carla Faith, 58, was charged with child abuse and attempt to influence a public servant after 26 toddlers were found behind a false wall at Faith’s day care facility last month.

You get a million bonus internet points for the link title, grim.

Plus, why do people who do this kind of stuff always have strangely (in)appropriate names?

Just dont understand mortgage stuff. Got a letter saying my loan was sold to someone else. This must be the 3rd time its been sold. Not seeing why they do they or what they get out of it. From what I can tell I just keep paying the same servicer we had been paying and somehow the creditor gets some money sometime somehow.

Think of these transactions as the J. G. Wentworth of lenders. One of them needs cash now, so they sell the loan off to someone that's willing to take the long-term income.

OUCH oh God what did I just do!? I pulled a hangnail. You know how you pull one forward to break it but sometimes they peel backwards and hurt like hell? Well I was watching a video and this one didn't hurt. When I looked down it was back near my first knuckle peeled back. It started bleeding like Rambo had stuck me. I tossed some anti bacterial hand sanitizer on it and OUCH OH HELL ITS HOME ALONE AFTERSHAVE SCENE ALL OVER AGAIN!!. Now Im sitting with a band aid on my finger for a simple hangnail wondering why I stopped biting my nails and fingers all those years ago.

Just watched the movie Journey 2 Mysterious Island. Although I really like both Brendan Fraser and The Rock I have to say the sequel was nowhere near as good as the first one. It was entertaining enough though to sit through it. Vanessa Hudgens is easy on the eyes.

1. Loved the design of the Nautilus. Seemed a tad small though.

2. Those poor animals must have all died...wtf were they thinking with the way they destroyed the island at the end?? No artificial sun. No air bubble. So every 150 everything just dies and somehow regrows? What about Atlantis? It seemed well intact to have the island fall apart like that many times over. Argh.

He is the reincarnation of my first cat, Toke, right down to the clipped ear. Toke's got ripped in a fight and Warren's was done deliberately, but the effect is the same. Only visible difference is that Toke had green eyes and Warren's are more brown. I'm just tickled that my last cat is the spirit and image of my first one.

Now the only shelves they stock are designed for decorations, not books. Online, anything over 4' seems to be $100+. I have a collapsing book shelf that I need to replace, and I really need to squeak an extra shelf in somewhere, and they're just not available.
Could have SWORE they were in Target... $35

Or just order one of those Saunders DIY things

I've removed most things l don't consider necessary. It's pretty much 1 ID, 1 debit card, 1 credit card, medical insurance card, my ZIPCar membership card (and unlocker) some emergency cash, and some stuff I need with me (like Google emergency pass code). I should also add my Yubiekey to that. :) 99% of the time, I only ever use the credit card.
I think I found my "ultimate" wallet...

It's bifold, but the money is held by a money clip in the middle inside, thus reducing thickness. The "sides" are all card holders, and there are "quick access slot inside and outside, plus ID window on the inside.

Same issues: The nearest Target is 85 miles from me, the shelves wouldn't fit in my vehicle, and they don't offer delivery. Also, those are so narrow I'd have to order two. Still, I've found a couple of other options here. Those metal cubes Anonymous Bosch posted about look really promising, and I can always fall back on plastic shop shelves.

Anyone else watch cooking shows and think they use a lot more of something than what they say they are when they dont measure it? Ive been watching cooking shows since the 90s and thats my thinking. They'll say a cup of milk and proceed to pour what looks to me to be 3 cups worth. I they'll pour and pour glug glug glug glug loive oil enough for 5 tablespoosn and say theres 2 tablespoons or even theres 3 teaspoons.

I thought records were just a hipster fad. Guess its a bit more.

LINK

973,000 vinyl LPs were sold in the week ending Dec. 19 -- a new single-week Nielsen Music-era record.

Isn't that like 1985 levels of sales?
