It would be better if there were an ‘O’ in front of it.
That would work.

False advertising. My can of spinach says Fancy Spinach but the ingredient list says spinach, water, salt. I see nothing fancy there!
EDIT: And a rip off as well. After heating the can of spinach and draining the liquid I was left with about a cup of mushy greens.
Fresh spinach, even freshly-wilted spinach, is delicious. Canned spinach is mushy greens.
I made creamed spinach for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Talk about a lot of work to make a healthy vegetable into something decadent...I will do that again. The recipe is basically eggs baked in a creamed spinach base, sort of like shakshuka, except nothing like shakshuka.

I love canned spinach. Don't care for fresh, even after cleaning all the grit off them.

This was a different brand than my favorite. I got it because it was like .50 cents. I love Popeye Spinach but they have jacked the price up on it.

Stupid Levi's website. They supposedly have a 75% off warehouse sale. I went to the website, and they insist on getting my email address. There is NO CANCEL button. Except the stupid box won't go away even after I type in my email address. It was probably Chrome issue, as it seem to work in Firefox. ARGH. But after looking through the place, nothing really cheap. I don't pay more than $20 for a pair of Levi's 550 relaxed fit straight leg... Do you?

As I recall the last pair of Levis I got were bought by my wife at either JC Penny or Dillards at the mall about 20 years ago for $35

Not quite happy with my wallet's lack of display window on the outside, I decided to add one... By adding something that wasn't meant for a wallet... You know those "stickable" card carriers for cellphones? That you can stick on the back of a phone and it'll carry one or two cards? Got one of those, clear ones (or mostly clear anyway), and stuck it outside. It seems to work... so far, but I haven't taken it outside and find out for sure. *sigh*

What's your wallet made of? It might eventually hold more moisture than a hard plastic cellphone. The sticky might fail.

Probably faux leather. Yes, I am afraid of it coming off... eventually. But if it fell off, it'd be still in my pocket. Or at least, it should be.

Im not sure what to do with the mortgage now. According to the letter the place I was paying that sold it wont be taking any money for it after Jan 31. I paid them Jan 10 so that SHOULD be ok. But I plan to call Monday and confirm they are done. If so Im going by my bank anyways so Ill have them blocked from any further attempts just in case. Also the new company has not contacted me at all. I dont know if I wait on them to come to me or Im supposed to find out how to contact them or what.
I just dont know what Im responsible for. Donna would know

I was thinking back to elementary school and a food item they had. It was peanut butter, sugar, and coconut rolled into a ball. As far as I know they were simply called peanut butter balls. Then I started thinking I wish testicles weren't called balls. It makes so many things including food something to make fun about when mentioned. "I love peanut butter balls!" "You love balls??" And such. Then I thought of that toy Bucky Balls and how tough( I used tough instead of hard here ) to have a conversation about Bucky Balls. Then I wondered if Winter Soldier says he has Bucky Balls to Black Widow or Scarlet Witch for fun while they shrug and go "Huh?"
Twitter user @KylePlantEmoji raised the idea of an “internal narrative” binary on Monday, stating that “some people's thoughts are like sentences they ‘hear’, and some people just have abstract non-verbal thoughts, and have to consciously verbalize them.”
For some people, inner thoughts tend to take the form of language, while for others, non-verbal cues tend to dominate. Basically, whether you find a TV or book protagonist’s inner monologuing cloying and unrealistic or merely a dramatization of the average person probably depends on how (and if) you talk to yourself.
This is an oversimplification of the existing research—although experts agree that not everyone experiences inner self-talk. Psychologist Russell T Hurlburt wrote at Psychology Today that inner speech is a “robust phenomenon,” but not a universal one. “I'm confident about the individual differences—some people talk to themselves a lot, some never, some occasionally,” Hurlburt said.
I just assumed everyone had an inner monologue. I am always carrying on a conversation with myself in my head. The idea that there are some people who don't is crazy to me.

I've often wondered how internal dialogue worked before language existed. Language has made fundamental changes to our psyche.
01022010 would only be like just over 10 years ago. 11022011, a bit over 8. I wonder why people feel the need to go off the deep end like that for timed events odometer watching.

I saw that on FB. It's hard for me digest that not having an inner monologue could be at all common. How do you read? But generally, it must be nice not to have your head yapping at you all of the time. Every day would be a day full of zen.

It sounds like some people have an inner monologue in English (or whatever language) while others have it in a more abstract form. But most are somewhere in middle. I'm pretty sure I have both.

Yeah, it's just a number but people want to be part of (live through) something unique in history. Palindrones are one way to find special numbers.

Anyone watching the Puppy Bowl? I think its Puppy Bowl 15. I watched part and have it playing in the back ground as I use the PC. Some really cute little puppies in it. Hope they all get fun safe happy homes.
Jeep on Friday teased its “Groundhog Day”-themed Super Bowl ad by featuring Ned Ryerson, the nerdy insurance salesman character from the 1993 movie. Stephen Tobolowsky, who played Ryerson, appears in character in the quick video, saying, “This Sunday is going to be a doozy,” before doing a little geeky happy dance.
This is gonna sound geeky as heck, but I just got one of the infamous Google programming puzzles, which is apparently a secret recruiting tool Google uses...
Basically when it senses you've been doing a LOT of programming (i.e. doing a heck lot of searches on Google about programming), it will offer you to play this programming test/puzzle. If you manage to beat all 5 levels (which obviously gets harder and harder...) you are encouraged to submit a resume and a recruiter from Google will call you in a few days.
I just beat the first level puzzle. I knew what approach I needed. Most of the time was spent fighting the syntax and thinking of edge test cases that prevented the program from verifying.

Was just thinking ....If I died my pets would starve to death without me because no one would know I was dead for at least a year.
No one ever calls me. I get maybe 3 calls a year and they are all telemarketer / scams.
I get 1 or two letters a week in the mailbox all junk mail other than a bill. The box would take a year to fill so the mail carrier wouldn't notice.
I have 2 bags of garbage a month...sometimes 3. Most weeks I dont even take it down to the curb.
I only leave the house twice a month...maybe 3 if something comes up I need.
No one at all comes over.
I dont post on Facebook.
Seriously no one would know for about a year...possibly longer. Feel sorry for whoever finds me....and my pets
Specific health benefits of social interaction in older adults include:
Potentially reduced risk for cardiovascular problems, some cancers, osteoporosis, and rheumatoid arthritis
Potentially reduced risk for Alzheimer's disease
Lower blood pressure
Reduced risk for mental health issues such as depression
Conversely, social isolation carries real risks. Some of these risks are:
Feeling lonely and depressed
Being less physically active
Having a greater risk of death
Having high blood pressure
Social interaction helps keep your brain from getting rusty, but it's most effective when coupled with an overall healthy lifestyle, including a nutritious diet and physical activity.

There we go. I guess everyone in the world using one of three major prescribed post 2000 ISO 8 bit date formats without language insertion won't have seen this for 900 years. I didn't gronk the everyone in the world part. I don't think of everyone in the world expressing dates in the language of 21st century trade.

Nextdoor is useful for such things as finding lost pets, giving away unwanted items, and getting contractor recommendations. It also has a creepy surveillance state aspect, like a neighborhood watch association. It's not something I use often, but it is useful. When somebody pranked us the night before Election Day 2016 by putting a Trump sign on our lawn, we used it to let our neighbors know that we didn't appreciate the joke and considered it trespassing and hate speech. Several of our neighbors had seen the sign -- one even told us she was afraid she was living next door to Nazis -- so it was a good way to clear our names.
