Its from teeth broken off at the gum line. Couldn't afford to have them pulled so they broke. Now I really cant afford surgery. I wouldn't be surprised if they are when end up killing me.
As someone on Medicare and Medicaid (neither of which cover dental), I know how much of a pain tooth problems can be. I've had to pay out of pocket for extractions for years, and it really sucks. I'm chewing with multiple broken teeth right now because of it.
If you genuinely don't have the money, though, there absolutely are programs that can get the surgery for you free of cost. Search for your town and 'indigent care', then make a call. The option exists if you want it.

I was in a similar state. My back teeth filling fell out, and eventually the whole molar broke in half. I basically ended up chewing with only one side of my mouth, for years, and even now my mouth is slanted, even though I did have the broken molar finally taken out last year, when I still have dental insurance. You need to have that fixed when you can.
The strange part is dental schools often aren't that cheap, even for cash payers. I've been to dental school (UCSF in SF has a dental school), and after $60 "diagnosis" where I get a treatment plan from a student, then a senior student, it was still not something I can afford.
I'd say look into any dental plan options in your area. I'm in CA, and CoveredCA has some options. They ARE expensive, but compared to the cash outlay without them, they are justifiable.

If that is happening there is something lodged in your cornea and it's super simple for an eye doctor to see it and painlessly remove the foreign object.
Its not the cornea or iris its the white to the side of it. Like its from the edge of my cornea all the way past the corner of my eye thats swollen. The conjunctiva is a clear layer of tissue lining the eyelids and covering the white of the eye. Thats the part that swollen. The covering of the white of my eye. Maybe whatever was in my eye scratched or punctured that part. Might still be there I just cant tell when its swollen. Its like some fluid is under that covering between it and my eyeball. Not improved yet. To worried to see a doc about stuff these days...but may have to sometime soon. Shall see.
My eye looks like the top pic..the kids eyes in the link below.. But only my left eye and only the left most side of it...same look and swelling though.
I'll post the pic for easy viewing and spoiler it in case no one wants to see it. I mean it doesn't look bad to me but Ive never had this happen in 50 years of hard rubbing an eye at times.
Spoiler:

the cornea is that layer
it's what you touch, if you touch your eye.

Yes, please do. Dentists are postponing routine preventive care and have time on their hands for emergencies. You're an emergency. Don't be stubborn.
If someone did a poll, a majority of us would prefer that you not die yet.

i went to the doctor yesterday for my annual thyroid and bi-annual liver enzyme blood draws. this clinic does _not_ accept COVID-19 patients (they have people at the door who will turn people away and tell them to go to this other location if they have symptoms) and the waiting room was completely empty. this office is a major clinic attached to a regional hospital. i felt way safer there than say, at the supermarket....
and i got my lab results this morning - on a Saturday. have never, ever received them that quickly before.

Oh I see now..it IS the sclera...the cornea is a hard part under the front of the sclera.

Not quite. The covering the of eye is the sclera except for the front, which is the cornea. There is no sclera where the cornea is and vice-versa. Most of the visible eye is cornea, which covers everything that isn't white.
An abrasion in either, though, is pretty much the same ball of wax. The rest is semantics, and you still don't want to rub your eyes when you have something in there. If you do, you are essentially turning your eyelids into sandpaper, pushing the item around and scratching up your cornea (and/or sclera.)

Enough people dying for now, you should stay alive for now, pick a time when not so many are dying so you stand out more. Preferably a couple decades or more from now.

Last night was a normal weather night. Nice with no storms anywhere in the state. But in the middle of the night I woke straight up for some reason and right as I opened my eyes the power went off. Fan and pc and all. Pitch black. I used a flashlight to hit up the old bathroom and as I went back to bed the power came back on. Then when the alarm woke me around daylight the power was off again. Not sure when it came on as I kept hitting snooze and didn't get up for an hour or two. Still couldn't tell until I clicked a light and it was back. Just a strange night.

I like to stay on a schedule as best I can and since losing my wife it seems to help to be up during the day. I haven't stayed up all night since her death. We always were up at night and slept in the day unless we had to be at a doctor or something. Also I bring my bigger older dog inside around midnight and need to get him out to the bathroom early or its a mess. Trying to let him be an inside dog as much as I can. If I dont set an alarm I wont get up until around 2pm. Plus I have insomnia so much. Getting up early helps.
Also my eye and knee are better today. Ive tried to keep my fingers away from that eye even though its still bothering me a little. Not much. Also resting my knee for mowing next week. Plus its Sunday rest day. Shame too as its nice out today but will rain the first half of next week.
Gotta go to town tomorrow. I dont want to go. Id rather stay home all the time. But I have to go to the bank and I need to get a few food items until my EBT is refilled in a week. I dont like going to town .There is nothing fun in town for me. I go because I have to. I worry that the others of the country could kill me because they cant sit still a few weeks and have fun inside their home or in their yard. I have pets to care for. Im sure others have kids and family and such to care for. Seeing people being cry babies on the news is infuriating. They like to go out and show off their gun. I can think of one good use for your gun moron.

I got to walmart a bit ago and finally they have the OTC allergy medicine I take for both allergies and to sleep. I mean its not been in much since the pandemic. I saw it once when I didn't have money to buy it. So they have 5 and I grab all 5. After waiting in yet another line for 20 min I get up to pay and she says I can only buy 3!! ^$#$#Q@$@Q So I can never find it and when i do I cant buy it. I asked if I really had to come back tomorrow for the other 2 and said ya sorry. Im not. I asked if I could simply exit the store then return. She wasn't sure on that one. I asked if I bought these 3 generic ones if I could buy 2 of the name brand with them. She again couldn't answer that one. So frustrating.

So we have a thunderstorm rumbling thru and all the dogs are upset and the biggest and fattest is eating. So I took the candy bar out of my mouth and said "that's no way to handle your problems".
I don't think she listened tho.

It's interesting how fast bad things happen.
Last night I grabbed a fork for one of the kids out of the dishwasher. Because of the way it was oriented, I had grabbed the tines. As I turned around, lifting it to hand it to the kid, I bumped the counter. I felt a tug in my hand and looked down to see that I had driven a tine deep into my hand like a large metal splinter.
Nothing good ever happens that fast.

A two yolk egg this morning. I haven't cracked one of those since living with my parents where we raised chickens for eggs and double yolks were a fairly regular occurrence from our rhode island reds.

Used to love getting those as a kid. We had one chicken that seemed to do that regularly.

When I joined up with everyone here (GG), I had one child in... 2nd grade, probably. Now I have three kids, two of them adults, the youngest almost to that point, and three grandchildren.

I can't believe I never saw this being a Star Wars addict as a child and a fairly faithful variety show watcher with my family.
That said, who sat back in 1977 and said Luke and Leia, brother and sister? That's creepy.

On my morning walk, someone had placed a sign next to the sidewalk saying "Now entering the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Silly Walks," with language adjuring the reader to perform said walk (and a reference to Python for the clueless). There was nobody around, but I assume a camera was watching, so I complied in a decidedly non-Pythonesque fashion, weaving and backtracking and walking backwards. My joints are too inflexible to give it a heartfelt treatment. A little farther along was another sign indicating that I was exiting the zone and thanking me for complying.
I have no idea what that was about, but I'll bet I end up online somewhere. I'll take a photo if it's still there tomorrow.

I saw the same thing yesterday. A Twitter account I think. Someone was posting videos. But I think that one was in England. Sounds like others have taken up the mantle as well. I think it's a great idea.

It's become a thing and yeah, somewhere out there is a person compiling silly walks so they can post it somewhere. For about a week I've been confused trying to remember if I was seeing the same thing or something new.
I still don't know if it started here or not because I keep seeing it different places.
Liz Koto, originator of the silly walk on Yorkshire Road in Grosse Pointe Park, said she’s received messages from other United States cities, The Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, France, England and Kenya who are all joining in.
