Revnant slips into the marsh on the right side of the path. He approaches the motion scanner sensor from the back. After a minute or two of tinkering he walks out of the shin-deep water back onto the path. Revnant then walks a number of steps towards the structure and bows his head slightly.

"Done" pronounces Revnant.

Vitorio laughs and follows Troy down the path.

Revnant and Troy warily walk down the path towards the building. The rest of the coterie follow. The air has gotten chillier as the night has wore on and the mist has turned into a hazy fog.

Details of the building start to come into focus that were previously hidden by distance and weather. The large stone blocks of the structure appear to be made out of limestone. The roof and spire of the tower are made of red clay slates. A number of slim "windows" are visible about 10 feet up from the ground with a dim light shining through them. Similar style windows are visible in the upper tower with faint light escaping through as well.

There is an external light above an entry door on the left side of the building from where you are facing. The wooden door looks very sturdy. The light illuminates a Lincoln parked in a small gravel area off to the side of the path near the house. You hear the faint sounds of orchestral music being played from somewhere inside.

This is the only section of the "motte and bailey" that is accessible by land. There is marsh to the right and a more open body of water to the left.

Colleagues, I have noted in these times that for devices to work, a power source is necessary. Would any of you have the means to "turn off" this power source? I feel it would allow us an element of surprise as well as turn off that music.

You want someone to cut the power? I would rather them be comfortable and unaware of us till we are upon them. Cutting the power will put them on edge. I would rather have the edge.

I agree with Revnant. The entire point of disabling the camera and motion sensor was to keep them unaware of our approach. You would have us cut the power and announce it now? That makes very little sense to me.

Unfortunately, with that music playing, I can't hear if anyone or anything is inside and I would really like to HEAR what is going on in there.

Unfortunately, if we cut the power then there will be a lot more going on in there than there is now. That is sure.

I believe Thomas' concern is of walking into a trap. In which case we would rather have need of not talking more than of talking I suppose. However, I doubt we have much choice at this juncture and should proceed onward. Can one of you open that door without setting off alarms?

I don't know about you guys, but I am sure Troy has the same vision I do. That is we walk in with Jack/Antonio, kill everyone accept the real Antonio. I then play a little game of "Operation". Vitorio you can even make the buzzing sounds when apropriate.shrugs Anyhow we have the element of surprise as well as a plan. As much as it is.....

The door can be bashed in, but it would take sometime.

Looks at Vitorio

Looks like we won't be using that massive head of yours as a battering ram.

Looks at group

Maybe we should use subterfuge. Since Jack looks like our quarry maybe we can bluff our way in

Thomas steps back from the door and his eyes change back to normal.

Four people have recently used this door and three could be inside the house. One is Antonio. The two other are a black man who looks of Moorish or Ethiopian descent and a small, furtive italian man.

Recently a man left through this door. He looked approximately 35 years old and had a ruddy complexion.

Since I believe Antonio is currently inside, I don't believe we could bluff our way in by knocking. However, if we cut off the power source as I suggested, we might be able to draw them outside and separate them. Antonio/Jack could call out to them drawing them outside.

Also, if the music was cut off I could possibly direct Troy and Rev as to their locations. I have pretty good hearing.

Thomas grins

In the confusion, we could subdue them and learn some answers.

Revnant scans around looking for power lines. There are none visible above ground. Faintly, over the low music from inside the bailey, you begin to here the telltale sounds of a motor boat approaching. The sound is very faint at first but grows at a steady rate. The noise is coming from the west (to the left of where you are standing).

Thomas looks sharply to the west in the direction of the boat.

Some type of motorized boat is coming this way. I can see one person on board. We have about a minute before he sees us.

Thomas turns to the group.

Thoughts?

He won't see us if we are inside. We open the door now and proceed. Have we even checked to see if it is locked yet? Failing entry maybe we walk around the other side of the building away from the boat and wait for them to come out to it?

Well, then I believe we have two options. We can try to intercept the boat and its driver before it reach the structure and hope the music is loud enough that the occupants don't hear the boat approaching or we can try to open the door and take the people inside by surprise. I believe we will have to make this decision very soon.

Assuming it is a member of my security detail, perhaps I should distract him and you brute squad types can restrain him. Mind, he will be exceptionally strong...
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

I agree, I think our best plan is to have Jack/Antonio meet the boat and lure the driver into an ambush by Troy or Rev.

Vitorio, I suggest your take cover by the door. If it opens you could signal me by whispering, "Door's opening" very softly. I will hear you, I have very good hearing. I will follow Rev and Troy as I would like to meet the boat driver in person.

Thomas steps closer to Rev and Troy.

Is it possible you can subdue the boat driver as quietly as possible but without rendering him unconcience? We need to question him. While you may have ways of making people talk, Rev, I have ways of making people talk but very quietly.

Any questions?

Damn, I just remembered something from my "vision" of the door. I don't think the door is locked however a heavy beam that braces the center of it on the other side.

I apologize this didn't occur to me sooner. Looks like the boat driver is our best option. Unless someone can come up with another plan, quickly.

No clue. Has anyone tried PMing him? RL may be keeping him busy and off the boards right now. Hopefully it is just busy and not something bad.

The sound from the approaching boat gets louder until it comes into view. The boat approaches a small slip on the west side of the structure and cuts the motor. The boat itself is a small sport boat popular with the water skiing community of approximately 20 feet.

The driver is a middle age man that looks like he has spent his entire life outdoors. His hands are calloused and his face and arms are a weathered reddish complexion. Distrustful eyes scan the building and surroundings and come to a stop on Antonio. "Master?" the man asks in a confused voice.

Inside of the boat is the bound and gagged form of a vagrant or hitchhiker. He is struggling against the ropes but is trussed up too well. Imploring eyes meet your own as he fights for freedom and probably his life.

OOC: I am really sorry about the delay in updating. I got real sick Friday evening and it didn't let up until last night.
