This is not what I call an enjoyable post for Semaj....
I've been debating this for a while now, lol... I assume this wont look good and with my normal levels wolf-dom I figure it means I'm a day 1-er again... but I think I should probably be honest and since it is going to come out anyways....
I um... Gassed Deck 2...
Sorry guys... but one of you... no named mentioned... May have gotten me killed last game, so I figured when I saw the opportunity for some payback that I should take it and I did, with large amounts of glee. This is about the only form of revenge I can expect for some time...
I've been on the fence with telling you all what deck it is though. Because not only do I expect retribution... but... I dont know if it's in the best interest of the henchmen to give this information to the good guys. However with everyone coming out with what their stations are and if they are useful (although one would assume someone has to be lying, one can hope) You have cut down the pool of places they need to check for the good stuff.
Day 1 - no conversion? As such, only 2 people are looking through stations and pooling their resources... 6 stations out of 36 = 1 in 6 chance of finding something, of which 1 might kill them. So once every 3 days they might get lucky, roughly. Once conversion takes place it's once every 2. But with everyone announcing, I think its 6 out of 30 now, or 1 in 5, or once every 2 and a half days. and with 3 people once every other day (I am rounding here, it's more like 60% per day).
I am however thinking that announcing the gassing station might make them split up their searches. So.. I'm thinking I should announce which station it is... Station 12...
There you have it, the big reveal.. Discuss amongst yourselves.
Also... Steisser
You are an asshat. Mainly because you are trying to twist my words and methods into making me look good, which as we have all seen, leads to a dead Semaj and the entire community going: "No big loss" when in fact it always is (They almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in JLA, and completely did snatch defeat in WoT).
I want to promote discussion amongst people, not to kill off everyone who is quiet... huge difference. Don't put words in my mouth.

Meh, it was meant more of a "Shame on you Steiss" than a "I really think you are an asshat"... Hopefully it wasnt taken that way... if I dont have name calling and finger pointing, what is there left to do?

There was absolutely ZERO reason for anyone other than a good guy to use the gasser ability. None. Playing it off like a revenge thing doesn't work for me. You have consistantly claimed (and IMO have demeonstrated some ability to back up the claim) that you are good at these games. That was simply an obviously poor choice for the evil side to make. Thus evil Semaj would not have done so. You are correct, I would hope, that it will get you killed today though.

And apparently, yes, I would make that play as a evil guy. Why wouldn't I use the gasser? Are you saying as an evil person you havent always wanted to gas people who are standing in your way of climbing to the top of the henchmen ladder? Are you saying you have no plans on ruling the world yourself one day? I'm sorry if you want to be that guy who has to guard Austin when we catch him and dies to some mysterious illness known as lead poisoning.
Now the funny thing is, I debated lying about it, saying I went to another station someone else had already mentioned, but alas I came out for the good of the bad guys...
Remind me never to do that again...

So what do we think of Rev visiting 24 and getting a "recharging" message?
Rev, did it tell you what the station was? I'm assuming if it was Life Support, it would have said "Life Support recharging" or some such. I could be completely wrong on that though.
I have to agree that Semaj gassing us, if he isn't lying, was an...unwise decision for a Henchman to make. Who were you trying to get back at again? You were the second day kill, right? Weren't there like 8 people who voted for you? Why choose Bakhtosh and Kraegor (since I clearly couldn't have been the source of your motivation)?
There's hardly a push on anyone at all at the moment. If Semaj is Good, who's he trying to protect? Purge? That would make Semaj Vanessa and Purge Powers.

stessier, why are you so concerned regarding the life support and trying to make it look like Grund may have stumbled on that? The write-up AND clarification told us Grund was found in his room. Do you think the station would move him back there when it was done with him?

Would we be able to tell the difference between a station kill and an agent murder?
I got this question by PM so I want to address it here for everyone. In the case of the medical station, Dr. Evil will announce when the medical station has killed someone. It will be pretty clear in the flavor text. I can not give any information out on the Vongooglizer as Dr. Evil is not aware of what it does.

So now that I've read through page 10 I'd like to point out that while grasping at straws seems like all we have to do, I am hoping Mustafa can find the Sickbay first (so we don't have another death and tilt the odds towards the british agents) and that he can bring back Grund (assuming he is in fact Fat Bastard).
I am staying away from good/bad labels; even the villain is the hero of his own story.

You're very quiet.
You're mad I missed the play,
aren't you?
shakes his head, "No."
Dr Evil
I have two jobs, baby. You know
how important they are for us.
I'd give anything to have been there.
Mr Bubbles
I'm ready to communicate with you now.
Dr Evil
Communicate?
Mr Bubbles
Tell you my secrets.
Dr Evil
What is it?
Mr Bubbles takes a long time.
Mr Bubbles
You know that accident up there?
Dr Evil
(confused)
Yeah.
Mr Bubbles
Someone got hurt.
Dr Evil
They did?
Mr Bubbles
A man. He died. He his name was Grundbegriff
Dr Evil
Oh my God.
Dr Evil leans over the steering wheel. He wipes the windshield
with her palm to see better.
Dr Evil
You can see him?
Mr Bubbles
Yes.
Dr Evil gazes out the windshield at the line of red tail lights.
Dr Evil
Where is he?
Mr Bubbles
I'm really not sure, but I do have to tell you as well that I visited Station number 9 and found nothing.

I read that. You said it was "recharging". Periscope is not a powered station (in the rules). Why would you think you weren't the first there if it said it was recharging if it wasn't powered in the first place???

I can clarify this.
The first person to visit a station will always get to use it regardless if it is a station with a power or a normal unpowered station.
Anyone else visiting the station after the first person will be told the station is in recharge mode (this happens for both powered and unpowered stations). This will clue in these people that someone else also visited the station and beat them to using it.
If more than one person visits a station, the moderator will randomly determine who is first and gets to use it.

Because it did. the computer screen read "Recharge Mode" then in small letters at the bottom Periscope Station.

I believe the convention is as long as you don't directly quote or copy/paste the message, you are fine with repeating back what you are told privately by the Moderator. What you wrote was within accepted convention.

Most of the players here have seen me on GT in the WW games which is why me being "new" doesn't set off everyone's radar.
As to conversion, I thought that there was no notification of conversion in this game... Scoop can we get a ruling on that? I'd hate to see Dr. Evil shoot Stessier without looking into that.

Wow. He could have picked it because he didn't like the number 2; I don't see how this sort of response is going to do anything but derail or bait each other. He didn't like the way you twisted his words (from his perspective) so when he had a random act of gassing you were selected.
I'd hardly call that dwelling, nor a historical war scenario. We're talking about a game that I understand just ended before this one.
It seems to me like you're trying to deflect the 1/3 chance that you're Austin Powers by muddying the water with personal issues.
Just so I get this right, how do we rescind an accusation to move it to another, or do we just do the accuse thing to someone else and Scoop is left to do the math?
