The Shot willnot extend the deadline.
A converted apothecary willnot recover a geneseed

Will a killed Apothecary? I'm guessing not.
Bah, shows what I know. The turn order really doesn't make a lot of sense then, but your game, your rules.

I'm surprised Austin isn't in your top three.

Instead of who you would like to see lynched.
Let's all place a vote for who you would like me to shoot.
Like this: Shoot Unagi
I will use this info to make my choice, perhaps in a stessier like way (i.e. totally ignore your 'votes').
Tonight I will make up my mind and post my intended target.
I will give that target a few hours (or perhaps overnight) to protest that I would be shooting a special.
We need time to do this, and we need time to actually get a lynch victim before Friday.
Sorry, I've given this some thought and felt this was to best way to proceed with this.
I'll be back.

If it doesn't reset, then we need Unagi to declare his victim tonight so that we have time for the response, then shoot tomorrow and quickly pick a lynch victim. The shot is blind, though, so I guess the actual death shouldn't effect our vote at all except to eliminate a candidate.
I think you should shoot Austin or Bubbles.
I would actually be upset if it reset, as I would not have made this move right now if the clock re-sets.
I don't know why on earth the clock would re-set just because I make a shot.
Regarding me 'faking' this.... We can at least agree that if I am faking this, it could only be because the Shooter was converted last night...
I am waiting for a while here - mainly for 2 reasons.
1.
If a Seer has an EC - it would help us a lot to learn that now. (Although, I admit if I was the Seer sitting on that, there is still a risk in stepping forward)
2. I want to hear who everyone would pick to be shot. Get it on record.
Only about 10% of me is willing to wait until tomorrow for this shot.
stessier wrote:I don't suppose your bullet has the same powers as your sword?

I wish. That was nice.

Catching up folks, and I'm getting ready for work so I'll be picking up from here when I get there.
I echo this statement above - with one caveat - I don't think the seer should come forward today as they've had only one night to scan. Unless they have the 'zerk', I think our best bet is to collect more data.
One point of clarification: the Chaplain can only protect from conversion and not a night-kill, correct?

Lesse ... we have Librarian, Chaplain, Holy shot dude and three apothocaries as well as two EC's (plus one converted, although any of the good roles may be the convert) .... and you claim to be soldier?
That's a 1 in 10 shot he's right.
So if you're going to take a shot in the dark, there's a 9 in 10 chance he's lying, and a 1/3 chance that he's EC.

So Purge appears to be under the impression there was only 1 Soldier. Under this theory:
If Purge were good and unpowered, he would have called out Lassr as a lying EC.
If Purge is EC, then Lassr is very likely good.
If Purge is Good, he is a Special.
Discuss.

Really???
He was pretty clear about there being only 1 Soldier and he didn't clearly shout to the world that the one claiming it must be lying. Don't you think a Soldier, with nothing to lose, would do that?

First, serious quick question to Scoop.
Were you wasted last night or something?
Next,
Here is something I was giving some thought about how we 'could' proceed.
And I would like to hear what every player thinks about this idea.
Now, mind you - I know there are some risks in this plan - but there are a lot of risks out there right now - so we aren't going to find anything risk-free.
Seer has 1 scan right now. Let's just assume that the Seer is sitting on the scan of a Special (worse case perhaps) or a Normal Marine.
If the Seer steps forward right now and says (not the Role) but just that he has 1 good guy and it is PLAYER X.
That would be the start of us having a block of 3 "trusted" players.
This directs me NOT to shoot this PLAYER X, And this directs us not to lynch this PLAYER X.
We Shoot and Lynch two other players.
Tonight we lose ME
or PLAYER X.
Seer is protected.
Tomorrow we get 1 more scan, and maintain this Block of Three.
Zerker throws a monkey wrench into that if he ends up being our Lynch (but he does that no matter, really).
So, please discuss.
I'll be back.

I like your plan, Unagi, however, Its not my skin on the line. The biggest problem with your plan is if the chaplin was converted last night. If that happened, then we are in alot of trouble. But, you know I love the big risk plans so ... I'm for it.
I will say I am not a good candidate to be shot since I'm a normal marine. However, purge's misunderstanding of the rulez does kind of lead me to think he is not one of the baddies. I certainly hope he is not the seer since its seems he hasn't kept up with the rulez.
I'm still happy with my shoot lassr vote but then again how often have I been right? I was wrong about Mipe before.
We do need to wrap up this shooting and get back to voting today since tomorrow is the deadline.

Odds are not likely the Librarian chooses the same player to scan that the BadGuys choose to convert.
Odds are equally as good that the Chaplain protected the BadGuys target.
Concerns -
Librarian converted = We're screwed as there won't be a Contest
Chaplain converted = There is no protection and anyone heading into night from the Trusted Block is vulnerable
Player X was the Convert and is now given the Trust
=============
The only scans that can be trusted by the Librarian are those of BadGuy Result or any Result on a Night where a kill occurs until a Night occurs with no kill.

theohall says he's a plain soldier. Purge states there is a 9/10 chance he is lying. If Purge was a plain soldier then he would "know" (in his world) that theohall was lying thus Purge must be special or chaos.

As to Chaosraven's comments about scans: Last night's scan of a Marine would be in doubt until the Splodie bastage is found. However, say he scaned the Apocathary last night and we get a geneseed tomorrow. Then he knows he can trust his previous scan. Any scan he had that is attached to a noticably useable ability will be made to work for us - one way or another. If he scanned the Apo and we do not get a geneseed.....then he found our Spoldie baddie.

Chaos Sorcerer- Can asks the true role of any player. Keeps the communication for the chaos players open. If he dies then Chaos can only communicate at night
If they get our Librarian before we get their Sorcerer, it's Game Over man.

Well, if the Librarian was converted then we can not trust anything he says now can we. Not much we can do about that plus, I was addressing the viability of his scans and I somehow doubt he chose to scan himself. Unless you are our Librarian then you never know.

Yeah, but as Remus (and all of us likely know/agree) pointed out. We will never know if the "Librarian" is converted anyhow - so what difference does it make. A player is going to have to be 'taken on faith' in this game just like all the others really.
