Valid point, and red herring might have been a bad choice of words, I simply wanted to clarify that low post counts, of which I was one, is not in itself on Day 1 an indication of good or evil.Grundbegriff wrote:The goal of a post count isn't to identify the quiet ones. Really? That's your conclusion. You get all that because Scoop was run up the flag pole, wasn't saluted, and didn't get assassinated by yoda between 8:04 and 8:24 eastern time? *shrug*triggercut wrote:The fact that we can't get a bandwagon going on anyone *except* Scoop tells me that he's Empire to the soles of his Stormtrooper Boots.

You probably missed when we were told that Yoda and Dooku can place their overvotes conditionally. They needn't be around when someone hits the top of the flagpole, but can issue a PM instruction to bb2112 saying "If player x gets to n-1, place my overvote upon them."LordMortis wrote:Really? Did you not see Dooku/Yoda/R2 (if any of them are even in the game) might not have been aware of this prior to the question being clarified?triggercut wrote:You probably missed when we were told that Yoda and Dooku can place their overvotes conditionally. Did you not seeing that earlier cause some consternation over on the Rebel boards, LM?
Oh, I'm pretty sure at least one of them was completely unaware of it, given Lord Mortis's stated assumption that Yoda had but 24 minutes to cast his overvote.theohall wrote:Did you not see Dooku/Yoda/R2 (if any of them are even in the game) might not have been aware of this prior to the question being clarified?triggercut wrote:You probably missed when we were told that Yoda and Dooku can place their overvotes conditionally. BTW, while the rule was clarified to allow the conditional, we were told specifically that Dooku/Yoda/R2 could place their votes (when eligible) at any point during the day, with the caveat being that the overvote was un-moveable and stuck on whomever for the entire day-turn. That's on page 1, I believe. So, in answer to your question...I don't know what LM is thinking with his supposition that if Yoda wanted to put Scoop over the top that it was a pre-requisite that he be playing in-thread at the point where Scoop got to N-1 in order to place that decisive vote.theohall wrote:Did you not see Dooku/Yoda/R2 (if any of them are even in the game) might not have been aware of this prior to the question being clarified?triggercut wrote:You probably missed when we were told that Yoda and Dooku can place their overvotes conditionally. I didn't miss it. I didn't pay attention to when the question was asked. I suppose we'll see what happens next when bb2112 gives us input. I imagine the frame up is underway if scoop's imperial.triggercut wrote:You probably missed when we were told that Yoda and Dooku can place their overvotes conditionally. Yes? Did I miss a question?LordMortis wrote:... and bb posts quickly...
That R2D2 is likely not even in the game, assuming he would take the earliest opportunity to take out an Imperial, since it is a one-shot. Yoda, if present, didn't have the time if he didn't place a standing order, while a standing order on the first Day One train is extremely unlikely. And Dooku would be an idiot to use his only over-vote on Day One without further info.triggercut wrote:Oh, I'm pretty sure at least one of them was completely unaware of it, given Lord Mortis's stated assumption that Yoda had but 24 minutes to cast his overvote.theohall wrote:Did you not see Dooku/Yoda/R2 (if any of them are even in the game) might not have been aware of this prior to the question being clarified?triggercut wrote:You probably missed when we were told that Yoda and Dooku can place their overvotes conditionally. What if Scoop is Dooku, and thus Empire?Chaosraven wrote:How about if we run scoop

As I've stated previously, R2 only gets to do his thing once in the game. If he's active this game his power gets more and more powerful with each successive day as the number of votes to put someone over decreases while his number of overvotes stays constant at 3.theohall wrote: That R2D2 is likely not even in the game, assuming he would take the earliest opportunity to take out an Imperial, since it is a one-shot. That assumes 2 things - 1) R2 doesn't get lynched early or 2) R2 is even in the game.triggercut wrote:As I've stated previously, R2 only gets to do his thing once in the game. I don't understand. You don't think it was a slip of any kind (because that would be too slopy), which would mean that you think he was presenting an honest argument, I guess? But you're voting for him?coopasonic wrote:I guess I'm the only one without a vote, so I'll stick it on CR. I find it hard to believe that was a slip of any kind. That would be incredibly sloppy.
