I just noticed we're not quite done with Turn 2.

Isgrimnur has chosen Trader. He has four black tokens in the Market. He can ship 7 goods. He needs to decide who to cooperate with for 3 more.

Current Market Status:
SpaceLord: 0
Qantaga: 2
Vorret: 3
Isgrimnur: now 0
El Guapo: 1
Grundbegriff: 1

Then, El Guapo can ship 4 goods. He has 1 in the Market, so he is looking for 3 more.

I've updated the spreadsheet as far as I can. Tonight I will work on the final Turn 2 processing, and the board.
They're going to send you back to mother in a cardboard box...

So, there are 6 goods in the market not controlled by Isgrimnur or myself, and we're each moving 3 goods apiece that we don't control, which means that between the two of us we'll move all of the goods in the market. Since as far as I know there is no difference to any of the goods' controllers whether their goods are moved by Isgrimnur or myself, how about we just clear the entire market of goods and give everyone the requisite money, unless they object and say that they do not want their good(s) moved?

So, maybe give Qantaga, Vorret, and Grund until tonight to post any objection to their goods being moved, and then process?

What benefits do we kind Traders get for shipping other people's goods?
It's almost as if people are the problem.

You gain the Treasury. They move their token from the Market to their Treasury. Of course, if someone is about to play Trader as well, they may deny your request because they don't need you and accepting helps you.

Say you have capacity 5 and you only have 3 goods of your own in market.

If you only ship your own stuff, you get only 3 treasury and 2 cargo bays go empty.
If you ship 3 of your own goods and 2 goods for Bubba, then you get 5 treasury, no cargo bays go empty, and Bubba gets 2 treasury.

In other words, it's a win-win. By aiming for efficiency, you also maximize your treasury. The cost to you is that the guy whose stuff you're moving also gets some T.

In the early game, that's nothing but good. Later, you might not want to give treasury to a foe who, for example, is just shy of being able to pay off his student loans.

Counting Isgrimnur's 4 goods, there were 11 goods in the Market at the start of Isgrimnur's turn.

Isgrimnur ships 7 goods home. He gains 7 Treasury.
El Guapo ships 4 goods. He gains 4 Treasury.
Qantaga gains 2 Treasury.
Vorret gains 3 Treasury.

I believe it's my turn to make the privateer choice. Who has how many merchant fleets these days? The spreadsheet seems to say that everyone but Grund and myself has two, so I guess Qantaga and Vorret now have 4 apiece?

So, having only 2 fleets and 1 monopoly right now, I think some of these high falutin' countries with lots of merchant fleets need to be taken down a peg. I *think* England has 5 merchant fleets now with 2 monopolies (maybe 4 fleets? Either way, lots). So...

Holland will place 1 privateer on England's board.

Someone should also probably do that for the other high merchant folks.

Maximize your browser (so the whole long menu will show up) and then highlight the column and choose "Plain Text", the final item on the "123" button-menu.

I should have +4 treasury from the trader action (see above), not +3, so I should have 7 treasury instead of 6.
