Funny how a refund takes so much longer to go back on your card than a charge does.

If I had taken one, it would not have been secretly. And I have, to the best of my knowledge, and certainly not as an adult, set foot in the state of New Jersey.

I'd also recommend avoiding prolonged coffee roasting and assisting in dental work. The password is: Bronchiolitis obliterans.

Technically no one sets foot in New Jersey. It's 100% driving.

This pack of Pringles I got are the best. The are light and flakey and filled with air bubbles. They just melt in your mouth. I wish all Pringles were made this way.

Yep, Charter announced the rate increase back on my October bill. They are to the point that AT&T is only $10 more and I'd go from 200 Mbps to 1 Gbps. I'm waiting until after the school year because both kids are remote and I can't risk a service interruption right now.

Two weeks ago I talked with an electrician about installing a new power outlet in our conference room, in the middle of a wall hidden behind a TV we wanted to hang, and running an HDMI cable from a floor outlet under the conference room table to that same space.
I was out last week.
I came back to find that he ran a new outlet to the far left side of the wall, nowhere near where a TV will cover it, and added a new Ethernet cable drop there as well, just dangling out of the bottom of a blank plate.

Just had a chat with a couple of different Best Buy customer service people.
Asked them if they could tell me when the sale price for an item ends.
None of them could tell me.
How is that even possible?
Because if you know when it ends you might wait until the last second, which gives you time to think about it and have second thoughts. If you don't know when it ends, then you have to pull the trigger right away or you'll lose the savings!

if I eat or drink nearly anything at or near bedtime, then its heartburn time.
I basically have to cut off after dinner. unless I know I am going to be up late.

Yesterday I was at the grocery store picking up this week's food for the family. I wanted some marinara, so I hit the sauce aisle. There were two jars that looked similar, and I want to see what the difference was so I grabbed them both and held them horizontally so I could read the labels. It was about the time that I felt the 'splat' that I realized some asshole had removed the lid from one of them, thus causing me to dump half a jar of marinara on my foot.
When we got to the checkout, we found that they only had one lane open, which is normal for that Wal-Mart. Regardless of how many people get lined up, they just open one normal lane. I get in line and realize that I'm behind an entire squadron of elderly women on a hoarding trip. Cart after cart densely packed with piles of everything (there was an entire cart of nothing but frozen dinners, one cart with what must have been scores of bottles of hand sanitizer, etc.), and they were being unloaded, one item at a time, by one elderly woman who must have been suffering from the rheumatiz' based on how slowly she were going. I spent more time standing in that checkout lane than I did shopping for four people for seven days, all while a glop of marinara slowly dried on my shoe.

By the way, for those in the midwest region, if you're at your local supermarket and you see
Mids spaghetti sauce on the shelf, get it. Especially the meat sauce. It's made in my hometown area in Ohio and I grew up on the stuff. It's absolutely fantastic and I was pleased to discover a few years ago that they upped their distribution game to cover Chicago (well...Jewel Osco anyway).

Its really wearing on me right now. the *gestures broadly at everything* has got me feeling down. Now that the holidays are over, I don't feel like I have anything to look forward to, nothing coming down the pipe thats really exciting. Sure sure, I know about Biden and vaccine, but neither of those are magic bullets for what ails us, more like, somebody finally stepping on the brake pedal in a runaway cruise ship.
I and many others (obviously) have been so good for so long, but it still just keeps getting worse. I have already done everything I can do. I am tired and worn and compressed, like a $5 lawn chair holding a wallmart customer.
