Hmmm.....seems like on guy isn't paying attention, but is doing well solely because his draft hit.

Another guy is happy because he is winning.

While the rest of us all feel like we suck. :)

I'm sticking with the "it's a long season" and minor adjustments to overcome stats deficiences should overcome the weak areas in the long run.

Since there isn't a max games setting, those of us paying attention should eventually take over the lead. Right? :|
For motivation and so Jeff V can make me look bad:
2010 Totals: Biking: 65 miles Running: 393 miles
2009 Finals: Biking: 93 miles Running: 158 miles (I know it sucked, but I had a hernia most of the year)

 x 1000. And dumping him isn't a good idea, because if I do, someone hides him on their roster until he returns... So picked up a couple of goalies who are at least playing a little bit. We'll see how it goes.

Yep, thats why I grabbed Legace and stuck him on IR (although he should be returning soon). He can't be any worse than the crap I have now for goalies.

Don't you love the Blues this season.
EJ - out for season before the season started
Chris Mason - Emergency appendectomy first week of season - misses 2 weeks
T.J. Oshie - was best player on team, hurts ankle 2 weeks in, out indefinitely
With Mason down - Legace hurts his hip slipping on a carpet and misses 2 weeks
Bishop (the new backup to Legace) hurts his knee in his first start, misses a week. Marek Schwarz, the Blues 4th goaltender actually played 1 period.
Kariya goes down with "lower body" injury (tweaked his knee)
and now MacDonald breaks his leg.

Legace, Erik Johnson (EJ), Oshie, Kariya, and MacDonald are all keys to making the Blues a winning team, so it's looking like a long season.

Steve Regier was really good in his first game as a Blue.

seriously, this is retarded... he wont go on IR so I cant let him go for fear of losing him, but I cant just keep him on and hope he gets better inside 2 months... the league is hosing me.

Out 8 weeks with broken leg. No surgery required. No idea why he hasn't been placed on IR yet. He should've been based on recent roster moves.

You haven't heard the rest of the cruel joke that is the St Louis Blues center position.

Blues forward Patrik Berglund sufferd what is believed to be a muscle strain during practice this morning and is very questionable to play Friday night vs. Anaheim.

Oshie - out
MacDonald - out

That's the top three centers. Meanwhile, the top 3 centers from the minor league club are hurt as well.

Which explains why the Blues keep claiming anyone off waivers who has a heart beat and can fill in as center.

It's going to kill Tkachuk's numbers, because he was playing great as a LW. Without the centers to help him, he won't be scoring much.

Welcome to Goalie-Injuries-R-Us.

Brodeur out forever.
Ward goes down last night with a "lower body injury"

Great - two top 20 draft pick goalies out. :x

Time to soldier on with Alex Auld and ***drum roll**** Dwaye Roloson

I'm just hoping Fleury comes back soon and starts some games.

Still, being in first, I shouldn't complain too too much ;)

Oh yeah, Gaborik, feel free to play again any time soon buddy.

Now if Kariya (hip flexor+) and Luongo (probably a week) would come back...

While my OO FHL team isn't doing so well, the team I have in a Yahoo! public league jumped into first place and has held it over the weekend, despite a 3.5 point drop in total points after Monday's games. (Tuesday hasn't posted yet)

The amazing part - I don't have one single first place stat in this 12 team league.

Goals - 2nd (10.5)
Assists - 3rd (10)
+/- - 3rd (10)
PIM - 7th (6)
PPP - 4th (9)
SOG- 3rd (10)
W - 4th (8.5) (3 guys tied for 1st at 11; I'm tied with one other guy for 4th)
GAA - 9th (4)
SV% - 7th (6)
SO - 3-way tie for 2nd (10)

And amazingly, it's mostly younger players - Berglund, Brassard, Toews, Girardi, Meszaros, Boyes - and most of the rest are from the monstrous 2003 draft class. :) At least one of my three FHL teams is winning. The other non-OO team is in a H2H league and jumped to 3rd after this weekend. That one has been floating between 3rd and 7th in a 16 team league. Playing the first place team this week, so we shall see what happens. He's got 172 points to my 159, but that gap could close dramatically with a good week from Western Conference Central Division. Seems that team has an abundance of Chicago, Detroit and St Louis players. And that wasn't a live draft.

Barrhaven Bullets are said to be shopping for a proven goalscorer who can put the puck on and in the net ... I have heard from two separate sources that they've made overtures to teams in their division (e3)
