I got 5 PMs hanging out there and 3 slots left (although I could add a citizen or 2 if needed and tweak the Cylon powers to compensate).

I'll start the game Friday morning. I'll stay open for new recruits until tonight sometimes.

Options with 17 players

Six may get a few extra scan the first 2 or 3 nights.

and if get a few more players:

May add 1 more hidden cylon or another regular cylon..

Add what you think is best Lassr - right now we have 4 cylons is that true? 17 players? just under a 25% ration - yeah tossing hte hidden one in. I think if you make a new one, put em on the team.

start with 3 cylons. 1 cylon that could join the team and 1 human that could join the team.

If I have 4 cylons with 2 possible joins does that unbalance it in favor of CYlons?

I think having a potential of 4 off the bat, gives a rough 25%, which is good i think...with the added one potential of 5 off the bat gives it 33%

After thinking this a bit, am tempted to say dont add another cylon; honestly i think it gives them a bit much. Just my two cents. Unless we hit more people...i think you should start with a base starting # (not including baltar) at about 25% i think that's a good number.

I like the numbers as they are, but if you add more Cylons, make them hidden and let Starbuck know if she has a successful protection.

I think I agree but give Six 3 scans night 1, 2 scans night 2 then 1 scan each night after

a few other options:

Allow the cylons to kill if they find #7. (Now if they find #7 there is no kill for the night)
also allow #7 to detonate his bomb after Six or Calvil is killed (now detonates after Six and Calvil are killed)

I think let 7 detonate any time.

I didn't realize 10 was a hidden cylon and that they didn't realize they were a "hidden cylon" from themselves. I am almost tempted to have them aware of who they are also, so they can drop some hints....might add some intrigue to gameplay.

So really the cylons start w/ 2, and by luck find 10 and baltar and then also #7.

I like the increased number of Six scans. Since they have to find 2 people out of 15. Start w/ 3, then 2, then 1. BY day 3 they will have scanned 6 people, and have in essence 9 people left....I would say to bump up the numbers a bit, give them a bit more of a chance to find the Cylons, maybe make it 3, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1, -Something like that?

Just me though. Hard numbers if neither of the two conversions happen, its 3 cylons V. 14 people....kind of tough I'd almost say. So hence the reccomendations.

A suggestion: When the game starts - do so in a new thread so we don't have to go through 3 pages of game signups and nonsense. This would prevent the "Are there 3 or 2 werewolves?" thing from the Quirks game.

Just thinking on how things worked in the past with big groups (namely Lars Lynching) and to keep everyone involved, you might consider:
  • Letting the Specialists know each
  • Letting someone have visions (Mentalist) - the president?
  • Letting someone talk to the dead (Medium) - the priestess?
  • If we get up past 18, adding another hidden cylon
Did you send Bakhtosh an invite? Maybe he and Grund could reprise their meeting in Lars Lynching for us. :D

Just thinking - if you let the Specialists know each other, then I'm not sure you would want to have the Hidden Cylon(s) be able to join the Cylon message boards. Maybe they just become activated and know who 6 and Cavil are and vice versa (so 7 remains unknown as do any other Hidden Cylons).

Not certain about the post people but the most I remember is Lars' games that had in the 20s.

the specialist do know each other and there is a secret forum. If Cylon #10 is a specialist then that's a blow to the good guys.

new rules:
Six scans 3 times night one. 2 times night 2 and 1 time thereafter.
Added 4th Cylon that has power to detect and interrupt Starbuck.
There will be a kill on the night #7 is found.

thought about 2 hidden Cylons but only one could be activated but decided against it since Six gets the extra scans.

I think that may do it. I'll look over it again and wait for any comments and send out PMs tonight and get this party started.
