Please, that's a bunch of crap. Most players never use MP capabilities of games, and MP for a TB game makes even less sense. Not even close to everyone wants MP, in fact, it's just a small, but very loud minority.
Add that to all of the "Problems" in the company right now, and you can bet it will be another year before its released, features have already been cut from the design document.
What's your beef with Stardock? You've spewed alot of stuff about them lately, without any evidence. As for another year, yeah, that's about the plan - end the beta by the end of this year, then finalize the game and ship/distribute. That would put them right on target - but you knew that right?

As for features being cut, which ones are you talking about? First off, every game gets features cut so what's the big deal? Secondly the beta will determine alot and that hasn't been started yet. Thirdly, everyone will know what the game will contain at the end, so what does it matter? It's not like anyone is going to be deceived.

Do you have any facts?

Something to post at last! Woot!

Currently I am playing Battle for Wesnoth...

...Maybe "getting my butt handed to me by AI" would be a more accurate description than "playing". I suck at that sort of games but somehow I keep coming back for more humiliation.

Oh and hi everybody.

I just downloaded Samurai this morning:

It takes about 20 minutes/game - rather addictive.

Star Wolves. Some might balk at calling it a strategy game, since it's more of a realtime, tactical RPG, but oh well. Very fun game, once you get a handle on it.

Although Dangerous Waters and SH3 have taken a lot of my gaming time the past few weeks, I have games of BiN, HTTR, HoI2 ongoing. I'm looking forward to GG WaW next week. I'd love to get a 4 or 5 player PBEM going on this one.

I grabbed Squad Assault Western Front off the bargin bin the other day, and so far its a great game.

This one flew under my radar apparently, not sure how I missed it, but it was a real mistake to overlook it when it came out. $6.99 and its got more gaming punch than half the games i've played in the last year.

Civ 3, almost always witht he Rise and Rule Mod

Heroes of Might and Magic IV, at times... I want to like the game so much, but oh that AI is awful :(

Still go back to the original Masters of Orion, which I find has aged very well
