Love that game. I wish I had seen it sooner and I would have joined.

Game 01: Transit of Venus
  • Chaosraven (sooner)
  • El Guapo (sooner)
  • LordMortis (later/filler)
  • Qantaga (later/filler)
  • Newcastle (after a fortnight)
Game 02 and/or Game 03
  • triggercut (later unless sooner)
  • bb2112 (later)
  • Remus West (later)
  • Lagom Lite (later)
  • Vorret (later)
  • noxiousdog
  • Isgrimnur
  • ?
  • ...
Since 5 is a good number, and it looks as if we'll have at least 10, and some folks might want to repeat, we may well have to run three games in succession!

I will play in the next go around. The current game looks like a lot of fun.

Grund, you are doing a great job running it btw.

Don't know about how NC or Q feels, but I think your explanations are very helpful. I haven't played in a few years, so this has been a great refresher for me.

Game 01: Transit of Venus
  • El Guapo
  • Newcastle
  • Chaosraven
  • LordMortis
  • Qantaga
Game 01 is coming to a close. It'll probably be over by next weekend.

The following people have expressed an interest in playing in the next round: bb2112, Isgrimnur, Lagom Lite, noxiousdog, Remus West, triggercut, Vorret

In addition, the following people from Game 01 have expressed a desire to play again: Qantaga, Newcastle, LordMortis, El Guapo. We'll put those 4 on ice until after Game 02 in order to cultivate more pod people.

Among Isgrimnur, Lagom Lite, noxiousdog, Remus West, triggercut, and Vorret, who wants to play in Game 02 and who wants to wait for a later game? I have up to four slots to fill, so I need at least two to volunteer to play later. (Since bb2112 was kind enough to help with the current game while I was on vacation, I have reserved a spot in Game 02 for him.)

Game 02: Title Undetermined

FYI, Game 02 will be standard PR (with the "corn penalty" and "factory>university" house rules) plus the Extra Buildings expansion. This simply puts more beige buildings (short and tall) into the mix. Some of the new buildings will take the place of some of the standard ones (either by players' choice or randomly). We will not be using the Nobles expansion this time. (Maybe for Game 03....)

To be clear, I'm happy to play, but also happy to watch. If someone else is eager to play (especially someone not in game 1), I'll happily defer, but if the fifth spot is going unfilled (as it looks like at the current moment), I'm happy to step in.

i havent officially. But i've been obnoxious enough about wanting to play again...that i'd hope i'd be on the short list (note: not the short bus). I've posted in a few areas my interest. But I'd also be cool in waiting obviously.

My pleasure.

The problem with backfilling from the pool of people who survived Game 01 is this: every one of you had independently expressed a desire to play again, possibly in Game 02.

Presently there are two spots in game 2 and five veterans who would like to fill them. I have received no response to two PMs to nox, so I can only assume he's very busy right now and that participating in a game that requires promptness and engagement would not be possible for him. So I guess we turn now to figuring out how to fill those slots.

Candidates are El Guapo, Newcastle, Chaosraven, LordMortis, and Qantaga. Among the five of you, is there anyone who does not want to play in Game 02 with bb2112, Isgrimnur, and Remus?

Well do you want to play Grund?

Could we potentially get a guerilla group going hosted by someone else...hence having 2 games running simultaenously? Or would that be too much.

I would love to play again and in this game. BUT...i am fine with waiting for the next go round. If the choice comes from 2 of the 5 from the previous game...i'd say do a random.org roll and fill it in that way. I think that's probably the most fairest way to do such. Because it would be a bitch to determine who called first at what time...etc. I am cool w/ waiting if someone else not having previously played wants in as well.

Whatever you decide am fine with.

I prefer either to host or to play, but not to do both at once.

I don't have the bandwidth to manage two (nor the board, for that matter). But maybe someone else would like to do so.

That's a good idea. Maybe we'll take that route. Any veterans who don't make it into Game 02 can always reserve a spot in Game 03 or 04, if we keep doing this.

My guess is that you could put all five participants from Game 1 in the random generator. The love for the game was palpable amongst all involved. :)

That said, I have no qualms observing Game 2 (hopefully, guaranteeing me a spot in Game 3), if you've already selected the spots.
