That's so last game!Archinerd wrote:Something feels off, aren't we supposed to be voting for Vorret

I thought I got all the Day 1 votes, then I get to come out as a regular unpowered Citizen then everyone feels sorry for me and changes their vote to one of the Humans, forcing an outing. So say we all!Vorret wrote:That's so last game!Archinerd wrote:Something feels off, aren't we supposed to be voting for Vorret

How many to get you to come out as a cylon?Moliere wrote:Maybe 2 or 3 more and then I will come out as a regular citizen.

my BSG games have always had them. Hopefully 2 weeks is long enough...El Guapo wrote:By the way, what's with the sudden return of lynch vote deadlines? We haven't had them for years (IIRC), now they're suddenly back it seems. Not a big fan of them, personally.
I personally don't mind them for day one , especially when it starts on a day since there's no data whatsoever unless we almost lynch a special.El Guapo wrote:By the way, what's with the sudden return of lynch vote deadlines? +1 but I do think the BSG games have typically had them.El Guapo wrote:By the way, what's with the sudden return of lynch vote deadlines? We haven't had them for years (IIRC), now they're suddenly back it seems. Not a big fan of them, personally.
Really? I have a very hard time with games without deadlines. Day 1 there always reaches a point where nobody wants to move their votes because there is no solid information and we sit for up to a week and do nothing. Most of the days get deadlocked like this unless there are a flurry of reveals that point us in an obvious direction. Active players get really frustrated and not as active players lose interest.El Guapo wrote:By the way, what's with the sudden return of lynch vote deadlines? With deadlines you get the same effect right until the edge of the deadline at which point the group flounders for a target to lynch and this nearly always benefits team evil.bb2112 wrote:Really? You better hope I'm not a Cylon, otherwise this might come back to haunt you.Vorret wrote:Just to slow the train down

Well, shouldn't you be concerned that Vorret is trying to earn future credit for protecting a good-guy? That taunt makes no sense.Moliere wrote:You better hope I'm not a Cylon, otherwise this might come back to haunt you.Vorret wrote:Just to slow the train down

Like Remus said, there isn't much indication that they actually motivate anyone to post for 95%+ of the game. Mostly it just gives the wolves leverage and chances for shenanigans as the deadline approaches (note, for example, RMC's vague specialness then role claim a few hours before the deadline in the Star Wars game). While without deadlines the village always coalesces around a lynch vote eventually, albeit sometimes getting dragged out.Unagi wrote:And yet sadly - without them - it seems that some people wouldn't even post/play/vote.
That is a good point, actually, especially for day 1.Unagi wrote:"changes their vote to one of the Humans", you say?

That makes 6 votes.Holman wrote:Moliere's play is certainly daring. He keeps pushing us when he should stop, almost like he's programmed to do it.

(1) While it's pretty clear that you meant to withdraw it, I'm pretty sure that's just a vote for Moliere.Newcastle wrote:mOOving on from

Not really. Jump on now and he ends up Human you look bad. Jump on now and he is Cylon you look very good.Vorret wrote:I mean, the way Moliere is playing it's obvious to me he's a safe vote, I doubt a special, Cylon or the traitor would act that way so ... Suspicious? Really? Would a Cylon ever bring this much attention to themselves on Day 1? You'll are hiding hoping no one notices you.El Guapo wrote:(2) Why are you moving on, exactly? Did his post make anything before seem less suspicious?
You didn't read my link did you.Moliere wrote:Suspicious? Really? Would a Cylon ever bring this much attention to themselves on Day 1? You'll are hiding hoping no one notices you.El Guapo wrote:(2) Why are you moving on, exactly? Did his post make anything before seem less suspicious?
Well, day 1 suspicious, which is graded on a suspicious curve. It's really just the "one of the humans" thing. Which sure, isn't much, but this is day 1, so it's about as good as it gets.Moliere wrote:Suspicious? Really? Would a Cylon ever bring this much attention to themselves on Day 1?
