I’ve heard this new season described as the Ted Lasso of superhero shows.

I'm feeling pretty good that it's going to happen. I know opinions vary, but I really liked that show and it feels like a cameo is totally appropriate.

Me too. I just recently re-watched it and it is just a really, really enjoyable show. Something that a lot of the Marvel series are missing.Smoove_B wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 3:39 pm I'm feeling pretty good that it's going to happen. Plus, I thought Tatiana Maslany was just damn adorable and perfect for the role of Jennifer.

Re: [Disney +] Daredevil
Yeah, I was not expecting what happened in Ep1 to happen at all. I guess it makes sense - from a way to setup the main story, but man...that was tough.
Really enjoyed the first episode, regardless. I made it about 25% into the second one but it was too late to continue.
It's really interesting to me to see the Disney (presumably) influence on the look and feel. I liked the Netflix version of the show - it's still fantastic - but this felt more like an MCU-adjacent take on the character.

I felt the first episode was a bit slow on the pacing. But I enjoyed it. Bummed about what happened.Punisher wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 1:12 amRegarding your spoiler..hepcat wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 4:05 pm I just want pure Kingpin/Daredevil confrontation.

As for the first episode it was spot on. It also moved quickly and we didn't even notice an hour went by. This is not your usual Disney show and as long as they keep this up any fears of them running this will be laid to rest.Spoiler:

There are only 9 episodes this season and they kind of already wasted 2 of them without moving any story forward.
But I'll continue to watch.

Re: [Disney +] Daredevil
When you saw that I liked the first episode a lot, why did you bother watching it?
The story is moving along fine. I’m diggin’ it big time. Hell, I could go for more quiet moments with Kingpin and Murdoch just discussing who they really are. I love character driven shows. Action heavy shows are a dime a dozen. Andor was another one that some folks complained was too slow, and I wholeheartedly disagreed.

I hate that we've gotten to a point in TV storytelling where this is matters.stimpy wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 12:55 pm

Finished both episodes, and the 2nd episode had better pacing. Really enjoying it.

Maybe if there werent 3 seasons that have already set most of this up, I'd feel different.
Plus, try as they may, they'll never outdo the original hallway fight scene.

Re: [Disney +] Daredevil
Finished the second episode last night and also really enjoyed it. It would seem there are...lots of people online not enjoying the show and I just don't get it. I suppose if you had specific expectations, maybe I could see being disappointed. This is a soft reboot of the Netflix version, trying to bring him into alignment with the MCU - which he technically wasn't part of until now. I think it's off to a great start and I'm looking forward to more.

Re: [Disney +] Daredevil
I'm surprised that there's kickback against this reboot. The RT scores for both audiences and critics are solid, if not outstanding, for both. Usually when there's a goofy ass reason for the usual group to hate something (like the "hey, Brie Larson, smile more" shit) the audience score gets hijacked by dumbasses.

Yeah, I really believe that last shot was an intentional misdirect intended to get a certain someone into the show for a solid reason that makes sense within the story. The writing so far on this show has been fantastic!

Yes, a few minutes after the episode ended I came to the same conclusion that it's likely a misdirect.hepcat wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 10:11 am Yeah, I really believe that last shot was an intentional misdirect intended to get a certain someone into the show for a solid reason that makes sense within the story. I am enjoying this reboot very much, but before long I may start complaining about the lack of Daredevil in Daredevil...

Did he run for mayor in previous seasons on the netflix show? I don't remember that.
But I love D'Onofrio's Kingpin, so I'm on board with any stories they give us featuring him. D'Onofrio just makes him so damn complex.
