It's why I had grund... it felt he waited to the last instant on sean and just finished him off when it was obvious to try and get a little cred. It really felt forced to me. Austin felt like he was trying to get a badwagon rolling on ANYONE else (Much like you did)... They didnt do much to discourage my thinking which is why I had them to and then added you. I figured I had em early wasnt sure because you pinged me so hard. Shoulda completely stuck to my guns... I figured you scanned grund because I said he was evil and I was right so fartheohall wrote:I want someone to sing songs of praise for getting the two of the three scans perfect. I'm confident that I don't have a multi-species split personality. I'll be vindicated in death.
If I were a werewolf, though, I'd have gambled last night that theohall would scan elsewhere.
I'd have done so because
(a) I'd have reckoned him the bearer of two saves and only one non-save among the Dead (since I had reason to suppose at least one Deader on the evil side wouldn't vote)-- I'd have counted him protected, and
(b) I'd have gambled that he'd give me a pass on account of my eagerness to kill Austin and my belated willingness to kill Sean.
If he had done so, I'd have killed him tomorrow night.
But that's just me and what I would've done had I been a werewolf.
But I'm not a werewolf. I just know it!

Re: WW Game with Quirks - Wednesday Day
As Theohall turned on him Grundbegriff smiled for a moment then turned and ran. The villagers stood still in shock for a second only but that second was all it took. Grundbegriff was nowhere to be found. They split into groups of 2 and 3 to search for him each armed with a large stick or a pitchfork (Lassr had a baseball bat). After hours of searching they had almost given up when they heard a great cry from the Rook in the oak as it lit off from the tree. Circling to gain altitude they could almost hear Grund's voice saying "I made the only sensible play available to me." Two feather fell from the tail of the great bird as it flew away. The first landed in some bushes near the eastern edge of town. The second landed at the edge of the great oak's clearing. A circle of dead vegetation quickly spread from the feather, blackening the ground for many feet around it. As the villagers closed on the location of the first feather they saw the body of Grundbegriff sitting in the center of a circle of death all his own. Body half way between human and wolf the feather sitting lightly upon his head.
Grundbegriff was a werewolf!
Grundbegriff was a werewolf!

His quirk (constant negativity?) is annoyingly formulaic.
He's hard to control or manipulate.
His death will point to nobody in particular (or maybe to me given last game, which is fine).
Grundbegriff to partners on Sunday night wrote: I'm sort of against killing Chaosraven or theohall. First because they have both died early in the past several games, and I'd like to encourage people to continue to participate in games here. Any other candidates?

I jumped on the Sean bandwagon and when it stalled i pretty much was happy with him being a wolf... I wasnt quite sure until Austin tried to get me on a bandwagon and then Unagi. I know Austin likes to be vocal, but it felt more like a wolf trying to divert a lynch.
Sean should have spoken up more... I almost felt like he went MIA....
Grund... late to the party on Day 1 is pretty much what made me think you were trying to save face as I said earlier. After another day I was positive. I had you three listed night 1 which makes me happy... Theo just screwed my overall opinion because he felt very austiny....
Good game good guys.. they were in a lot of trouble early and we never let up.
Not telling us the protection schemes means Grund is going to his grave wondering if he made the right play.
And I'd like you to admit you changed the first post after I made my post saying only 2... REMUS!

Ok who won protection -
Night 1 was scoop - this was pretty close between several people - sean among them, and lassr.
A lot of how i guided my thinking was who was moving hte game along while keeping within their quirk. Look back at how Sean played his quirk and you can understand it.
What really made me vote for Scoop was just consistency during the day and you could just imagine him muttering to himself, and I really liked it.
Night 2 - I gave it to theo here - it was really down to semaj and theo at this point.
I really enjoyed everyone and i think from my perspective honoroble mentions should go out ot bubbles & CR.

Why would that be? Are our egos so fragile that we cannot bear to know who was voted save-worthy? Ridiculous, considering that (a) a bunch of people did a great job at implementing quirks, and (b) we hammer one another mercilessly, or praise one another vigorously, on a constant basis over good or bad performances in these games. Why is this so precious? Not telling us the protection schemes means Grund is going to his grave wondering if he made the right play.

So I had to use movie/tv quotes with no attribution. I couldn't do it - don't follow enough tv or movies to even make an attempt. When I was trying to figure out what to do instead, haiku sprang to mind. I really hated it after the third post though. Getting thoughts across was pretty much impossible.Newcastle wrote:Stessier - What kind of Crack were you smoking?
Initially I was just going to do nothing, but then I thought that by doing haiku's I could give protection for the Seer (as he would be trying to do his best to get protection and as far as the living were concerned, I was playing my role) while making sure that the Deaders could never give me protection. The perfect plan!
Nope, haiku. I said Grund should get stuck with twitter feed next time. You really don't read anything, do you?Semaj wrote:7. stessier - Twitter Feed

As far as, how you were caught...
You weren't. Not in the classic sense.
You were being put through a standard 'poke test', since you had only posted one time...
The poke resulted in you posting about 1 more time, and then you did seem to sorta just disappear (I think you made 1 more appearance).
"write novels" and "pick at the minutiae" is how a few players play, but by far - most people really don't, not by a long shot.
I think if you had posted twice instead of once, with maybe 1 single tiny little comment on some single little thing - that would have increased your viability 10 fold, and the Day 1 'poke' would have rolled right off your back.

Re: WW Game with Quirks - Over
Unagi speaks the truth. I started the day off with a Sean vote because you had posted once way back at the beginning of night and then disappeared. On the off chance you were the hold up for the bad guys I placed my vote with you (there was a chance a good special was holding up the game). SO my vote was a poke the quiet player. Quiet players can be dangerous to the good guys. In this case it worked out just fine.Unagi wrote: I think if you had posted twice instead of once, with maybe 1 single tiny little comment on some single little thing - that would have increased your viability 10 fold, and the Day 1 'poke' would have rolled right off your back.

OMG I am just going to cry. Thanks Newcastle. I feel like a won an Oscar or something!Newcastle wrote:Ok who won protection -
Night 1 was scoop - this was pretty close between several people - sean among them, and lassr.
A lot of how i guided my thinking was who was moving hte game along while keeping within their quirk. Look back at how Sean played his quirk and you can understand it.
What really made me vote for Scoop was just consistency during the day and you could just imagine him muttering to himself, and I really liked it.
It's nice to have a good guy blow out once and a while and I have to say that everyone really did put some effort into the quirks and it was enjoyable watching it. Nice job, Remus. Also participation points to everyone.
Scoop. Makeup and hair are fabulous. - Qantaga
