Re: Days Gone PC ...zombies
Ok I just met O'Brian at the cemetery post game finish. Well that creeped and freaked me out. Has he always been like that under that suit? I dont get the meaning of it. Is NERO experimenting on their on their own field ops? A hybrid human/freaker? Not sure what him looking like that and saying that implies.
All I see left is some more hordes to kill. Was Meeting O'Brien the final end? Supposed to set up Pt 2?
EDIT: A quick read says he has been infected with a mutated version of the virus and that NERO is purging the survivors camps. Does mention how he got infected or what that means for the world or why NERO is now purging camps. Ill try to read more.
Still wondering if hordes is all thats left and if I can quit playing now without missing anything else. I dont care to simply clear the world of horde after horde unless it does something story wise.

Goodbye Deac, Sarah, Boozer and puppy. Take care of Iron Mike's old camp Rikky.
Hard to set a good game down after so long of playing.

Indeed. I was sad when it was finally over as well and wished there was more to see. That said, I'm thankful for the full experience the game provided and that I could do so on the PC!
Maybe next year, maybe no go

Smoove_B... Any issues with motion sickness? I had this for ps4, don't recall feeling sick, just picked it up on epic sale for $9 with credit and right when I got to ride the motorcycle it hits. I changed the FOV to 90. Any other tips you found?Smoove_B wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 5:31 pm I only have about 6 hours in, but I'm really, really enjoying what I've seen so far. The game play dynamic of needing to find more stuff (and gas) so you can keep doing things, but then also unlocking the story and giving you more to do has a really cool push/pull interaction.
The game world also feels...right. I've been surprised a few times by ambushes (which I thought was cool) and am enjoying slowly getting better and more powerful.
I know that when it was released for PS4 it seems to have earned middle-of-the-road reviews, but I figured I'd come back and mention how much I'm enjoying it in case it goes on sale any time soon.
Us motion sickness gamers need to look out for each other.

Re: Days Gone PC ...zombies
No, I didn't feel any motion sickness at all; it's pretty unusual for me in 3rd person.
That said, I would turn off Chromatic Aberrations and Motion Blur; those are two standard settings I always remove in any game to deal with motion sickness. It could be the edges of the screen are doing weird graphical things on the motorcycle because you're moving fast and that's triggering the sick tummy. Blackhawk pointed those settings out to me years ago for some FPS and once I started toggling them off, it really helped (in addition to jacking up the FOV).

Thanks. I think putting it to 90 did the trick, I've been fine since. I wonder why I never finished this on the ps4. The story and game is gripping. I do remember it to be hard. So far, so good.Smoove_B wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 7:23 pm No, I didn't feel any motion sickness at all; it's pretty unusual for me in 3rd person.

Re: Days Gone PC ...zombies
I loved this game so much. Its the best zombie open world game I ever played. I lived in that world. I still think about it sometimes. Nothing else has ever been better with zombies to me. Its why the other games Ive tried leave me wanting. I doubt they'll ever make a second one but Id really love it or something like it.

Re: Days Gone PC ...zombies
Finished this yesterday right it time for Star Wars Outlaws. I still had a bunch of hordes to clear and things after the game, but I'm done. I thought the game was great, a little long in the tooth and repetitive. Lots of driving back and forth. But the story was fun, the gunplay awesome, riding the bike throughout Oregon was just great. Wish they would make a sequel, but that's been squashed and the team has been decimated from what I hear.
