I…think we broke Oregon.
Interesting factoid: The loser of the P12 title game has never won their bowl game.

I'm honestly glad that if Covid had to fuck up CFB, it waited until the stupid bowl season to do it. I hope the playoff can be played, but I am beyond done with end of season exhibition games. Expand the playoff ASAP please.

Ohio St. Players skipping the Rose Bowl. I pity them.
The general opinion in Columbus is that going to the Rose Bowl represents failure for the program and these kids are doing the right thing protecting their draft stock.
FWIW I expect tOSU to come out flat and get pushed around the field. Hope I'm wrong and it's a good game, but I wouldn't count on it.
My the times have changed in oh so many ways.

For anyone wishing they would go ahead and play even with much reduced rosters, see the recent Dolphins-Saints NFL game where the Saints were seemingly hiring people from local parks playing football as stand-ins.
Ugly, ugly football.

Oregon's defense was playing fourth stringers last night. It's no wonder they put up less fight on defense than a wet paper bag.

And even before ucla had the extra positive tests Tuesday, they were going to be playing a backup lb at NT.

I read somewhere that between injuries, COVID, and opt-outs, Oregon was down 32 scholarship players yesterday.

For what it is worth Oregon at full strength would have still lost to Oklahoma.

Agreed. How they beat OSU with him I have no idea but I have seen 7-8 Oregon games this year and the guy is just so inconsistent. Granted they have had a lot of injuries but he looks bad just dropping back in the pocket.

Ohio State has some serious weaknesses. If you can prevent them from jumping out early by limiting big plays, they are not good in the red zone and their defense can be taken advantage of, especially their linebackers.
Which is how both Oregon and Michigan beat them. Lots of easy throws to backs and tight ends and a solid running game behind a quality OL. Who else can do that? Oh yeah, that's pretty much Utah.

And yet OSU is favored by 7. I would definitely take Utah +7.

It’s down to 4.5 after all the OSU opt-outs.
Also, this Tennessee/Purdue game is bonkers.
Edit: Bummer such a good game ended with such a controversial call, although I think it was the right one. His progress looked to be stopped before he reached the ball out for the goal line…I’m sure TN fans would feel different.

Thanks for the heads up, caught the last few minutes and OT. Congrats to the uh, Boilermakers.

So if the playoffs were 8-10 teams deep hoe many of the players who have chosen not to play would play? Would being in the playoffs be enough to get players and agents back in the game ?

Well, this has been…interesting.
Woke up to 6” of snow this morning. Roads were a disaster, took nearly 7 hours to get from SLC to Vegas. About 20 minutes south of Vegas, we notice a horrible squealing from the car. Uh oh.
Got to a car repair place 5 minutes before they closed. Said it was an issue with some belt or another. Couldn’t do anything to fix it until Monday. Called a dozen other places, same story (not surprising for 4:00 on New Years Eve.
Called some rental car places, no luck. Found a flight that left the Vegas airport an hour later. Rushed it to the airport (belt in the car squealing all the way), sprinted to the Southwest counter…only to find out the Kayak ticket Mrs Skinypupy bought on her phone didn’t go through. Crap. The wonderful ticket lady said she could get us into Burbank, so we booked that instead. My brother (who is already in Cali from Nashville) will pick us up at the airport at 9:00 tonight.
Spent far too many Delta points to get us back to Vegas on Sunday morning, and will still need to figure out what the hell to do about getting the car home. Guess we’ll deal with that later.
So we’re out another $600 for the flight, but - assuming no more issues - we’ll get there for the game. Fingers crossed.
This better be worth it…

Sounds like a belt and if that is what it is at least the fix shouldn’t be too expensive. I thought with the storms might give you a problem, but we all need the water.

11-1 Notre Dame is crushing 11-2 Oklahoma State in the "Playstation" Fiesta Bowl (makes it sound like a video game). Makes you wonder if ND might have fared better than Cincy or Michigan.

No it really doesn't, given that Cincy beat them this year, and Alabama blew them out last year.

I’m currently sitting in the Rose Bowl. For someone who grew up watching this on TV every New Year’s Day, this is truly amazing. Dad would have loved it.
And it’s probably 10-1 Utah fans.

Yea, ND is now losing by 6. But they have recovered a fumble with time running out.
You have to give Cindy the edge based on them beating ND in South Bend.
