Yah, that's what I was getting at above. It's actually pretty terrifying they all of sudden before inauguration decided action was needed right now for q-anon, trumpers and parler and got it done across multiple major tech giants. As EmptyWheel indicates, they are privy to a lot of intel and likely know that icky things are being planned on their platforms.
