Yeah, CNBC has been suggesting "Black Friday" started about two weeks ago and very little holiday shopping convenience or deals will be reliable after Halloween. Everyone has been prognosticating the supply chain is running dry and demand will kill supply come Monday.
I'm in. Might get enough to buy a chicken sandwich.Kraken wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 4:36 pm Those who like to join class action suits are advised that Overcharged for chicken might be worth a few bucks someday.
Fill the bowl with 50/50 water and vinegar, zap it on high for 5 minutes.Daehawk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 1:44 pm Been worrying with mine lately. Doesn't seem as strong. I think a complete cleaning is in order though as it has some spatters in it and the outside is greasy from the no hood stove beside it. Gonna take some effort. Ive heard putting a bowl of water in it on high for 3 min will make cleaning the inside easier.
I just redeemed my $7.51 milk settlement, so I'm feeling like the cock of the walk.Jaymann wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 5:07 pmI'm in. Boo to Big Chicken.
Oh, remembered the process, it's the timing and spacing I was all out of whack on. It's a perishable skill, and after two decades of disuse it's gone to pot. I used to be able to plop it in four inches from the curb and evenly spaced. This time? Pfft. I drove over the curb three times, got laughed at by oncoming traffic, then gave up and parked around the block where there was a double space I could just pull in to.
A new production of Into The Woods, set to be co-directed by Monty Python star Terry Gilliam, will no longer be staged at the Old Vic.
The reasons for the cancellation have not been made explicitly clear, and the theatre only posted a short announcement on its website last week.
However, industry publication The Stage has reported some staff were unhappy with previous controversial remarks made by the actor.
Gilliam has not yet commented.
Gilliam has previously described the MeToo movement as a "witch hunt", adding there were many "decent people" who were "getting hammered" as the industry grappled with sexual abuse.
Several allegations were made against the Old Vic's former artistic director Kevin Spacey. as part of the MeToo movement, which began in late 2017.
Last year, Gilliam told The Independent he was "tired of white men being blamed for everything wrong with the world". In the same interview he said: "When I announce that I'm a black lesbian in transition, people take offence at that. Why?"
He also recently defended the comedian Dave Chappelle, whose most recent comedy special included comments deemed by some to be transphobic.
After some younger Old Vic staffers reportedly raised concerns about hosting Gilliam's production, it's understood the theatre's management held meetings with producers in the spring.
Gilliam graduated from Occidental College in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. In 2003 he told Salman Rushdie about defining experiences in the 1960s that set the foundations for his views on the world:
I became terrified that I was going to be a full-time, bomb-throwing terrorist if I stayed [in the U.S.] because it was the beginning of really bad times in America. It was '66–'67, it was the first police riot in Los Angeles. ... In college my major was political science, so my brain worked that way. ... And I drove around this little English Hillman Minx—top down—and every night I'd be hauled over by the cops. Up against the wall, and all this stuff. They had this monologue with me; it was never a dialogue. It was that I was a long-haired drug addict living off some rich guy's foolish daughter. And I said, "No, I work in advertising. I make twice as much as you do." Which is a stupid thing to say to a cop. ... And it was like an epiphany. I suddenly felt what it was like to be a black or Mexican kid living in L.A. Before that, I thought I knew what the world was like, I thought I knew what poor people were, and then suddenly it all changed because of that simple thing of being brutalized by cops. And I got more and more angry and I just felt, I've got to get out of here—I'm a better cartoonist than I am a bomb maker. That's why so much of the U.S. is still standing.

Yikes.Back in summer 2009, the former "Oz" alum, 57, went to the doctor with a bad fever. While in the doctor's office, he collapsed and was rushed via ambulance to a local hospital. While en route, Dean technically died, as his heart stopped beating for over two minutes. After medics revived him, Dean spent three weeks in the ICU. The hits, however, would continue to come.
During his recovery at home, the "Rescue Me" star contracted a bacterial infection and suffered through multiple operations and gangrene, which resulted in the amputation of two toes and half of a thumb.
Yikes, indeed. that sounds horrible.Skinypupy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 10:19 am I wondered what happened to those Allstate "mayhem" ads, which I always found amusing. Turns out, the actor who played Mayhem is in a bad way
