Is it really a 'Conspiracy' is both sides are happy to play the other as the villain to their own benefit? You don't even need to organize that. They just see and seize the opportunity because they have the ability and authority to do so.

The "conspiracy" is that both sides are being manipulated by a single group for their own ends not really the ends of either "side".

What's the relationship of that book to
None Dare Call It Treason, a piece of red-baiting commie-hunting from the early 1960s that could easily have come straight from McCarthy? I believe it was a bible of the Goldwater faithful.
Very closely related. Like one of the same co-authors and tying everything back to the creation of the Soviet Union and Jewish bankers related.
Edit:
Let me walk that back. In my google searches, I conflated Gary Allen with John Stormer. I am spreading lies. My apologies. Always check my facts.
They got to you.

Much like the Illuminati, I am not to be trusted. LordMortis' Memory = Delusional Ravings of a Lunatic = The Illuminati. I need my own personal Izzy to keep me in line, on task, with the program, about the facts, across the river, over the rainbow, under the boardwalk, after the fire.

I suspect Fox News is keeping him around so if/when everything comes crashing down, they can point at Smith and say "Look, see, we were doing news and were right. Everything else we run were just opinion shows and done for entertainment value. Can't you libs take a joke?"

This.
Shep has always been that to the network. He gives Fox credibility, and they give him a ton of money in return to prevent him from bailing.

Ah, here we go:
Trump told Sessions to reverse his recusal and end the Mueller probe.
By the time Attorney General Jeff Sessions arrived at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort for dinner one Saturday evening in March 2017, he had been receiving the presidential silent treatment for two days. Mr. Sessions had flown to Florida because Mr. Trump was refusing to take his calls about a pressing decision on his travel ban.
When they met, Mr. Trump was ready to talk — but not about the travel ban. His grievance was with Mr. Sessions: The president objected to his decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation. Mr. Trump, who had told aides that he needed a loyalist overseeing the inquiry, berated Mr. Sessions and told him he should reverse his decision, an unusual and potentially inappropriate request.
Mr. Sessions refused.
The confrontation, which has not been previously reported, is being investigated by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, as are the president’s public and private attacks on Mr. Sessions and efforts to get him to resign. Mr. Trump dwelled on the recusal for months, according to confidants and current and former administration officials who described his behavior toward the attorney general.
The special counsel’s interest demonstrates Mr. Sessions’s overlooked role as a key witness in the investigation into whether Mr. Trump tried to obstruct the inquiry itself. It also suggests that the obstruction investigation is broader than it is widely understood to be — encompassing not only the president’s interactions with and firing of the former F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, but also his relationship with Mr. Sessions.
Obstructorama. This explains the recent spate of angry flailing tweets.

At this point, I think Sessions should wear a wire and speak with Trump about what would happen after agreeing to stop recusing himself from the Russia investigation. Excise the cancer.

On Fox News, of all places, Trump’s ‘spy’ claim is debunked by Trey Gowdy and even Judge Napolitano.
It's bizarre that I actually trust Trey "Benghazi" Gowdy to be a responsible figure on the Russia investigation, but he's been pretty solid and (dare I say) reasonable in all of this for the past few months at least. But I'm genuinely surprised that Napolitano isn't going along on this.

You'd think that the Washington Post - of all papers - would put any story related to Trump outside their paywall. Just saying.

But those stories are their best bet at subscription conversion. It's a conundrum.

I'm fine with their efforts to drive subscription. Being on the wrong side of the adblocker wars is what put Forbes on my list as the inaugural member.

That's fair, although I do wonder - are there many advertisers who won't place ads if you don't restrict adblockers on your site? I could see that, in which case I could understand the Post doing that in order to, again, get paid for their work.

FWIW I like the Post better than the NY Times at this point. They're both good, but I think the Post is better at putting stories in context and giving you a sense of what they're really about, and is less susceptible to getting manipulated by bad faith whataboutism.

I’m beginning to think he really is unaware that the bullshit he spews is recorded/saved and can be played back/viewed at any time.
It’s not even necessary to use other sources to refute his lies so much anymore. He’s such a prolific liar we can now just reference His Lying Highnesses’ previous comments.
I will give him this: he keeps me off balance by making me constantly waver between “evil genius” and “unaware uber narcissist”.
