Dutch Bros seem to often have a pointy roof but I see exactly 0 of them on the east coast and just about none that aren't in the west.

Since the last Firefox update I can't see tweets here. So now I have to use MS Edge. MS or Firefox update made me have to go to MS Edge to visit Yahoo News too.
Hope I can still use Firefox to see pron. :?

FF was wreaked havoc on my ability to you Google properties across devices. I've been reading the general computing page and debating moving to another browser.

If you scroll down you can see the video. I and many others think she won. Audi thought so too and gave her a Q3.

I can see why she didn't win. She knew the solution but didn't say it in it's entirety. Sajak wasn't being a dick, it was just unfortunate.

She didn't. She said the whole thing both times. There was a six-second pause, which was, apparently, legitimately against the rules. But it's a terrible look, and they really should have done a 'the judges talked it over and...'

Got a quote from the first place I contacted. Was recommended by a person at work.
Came in at $4800. Did some research and found this wasnt a bad price. Pretty typical.
Just for comparison, got a couple more estimates.
Both came in around $7200.........

The one place that asked if I got other quotes magically decided they could match the $4800.

I paid $10,000 for a full AC, furnace, and coil replacement this summer.

Do you have full details on the brand/efficiency/tonnage of the equipment you were quoted? Those factors can really explain the differences in quotes.

We paid about that for replacement of our just out of ten year warranty A/C two years ago. They did replace everything, including the pipes that run under the foundation. The only thing they didn't replace was our filter box, which was in good shape and uses four inch thick filters.

I did and it was all pretty much apples to apples. A couple of companies did do a good, better, best list.
I was looking in the good range, which was more than fine for my house.
I got the first place down to $4500 by paying cash upon completion, so I went with them.

They finished up, tested everything, I paid them and all was good to go.
Literally 4-5 hours later I get a call from the company saying they installed the wrong a/c unit and wanted to come back the next day to swap it out for the right one. I ran home and checked and sure enough, it was the wrong model. Now....if it had been in my favor, I was going to ask for some sort of compensation for the mistake and inconvenience, like free maintenance for a few years or something. Afterall........job was signed, sealed and delivered.
However.....it turned out to be a 2 ton that they installed instead of the 2.5 ton I ordered. They scored major points with me, as they certainly could have left it for the same reason.......signed sealed and delivered. But the woman that called said they wanted to give me what I paid for.
In the end, I was very satisfied with both the price and the company.

Geez I had no idea of the cost of shipping a package overseas. I was expecting to add maybe $20 to a normal ship price. I mean we've sent stuff in the past and I get shit from China all the time for like $5 or free. USPS site is showing for a small box 8" big is $40 and a medium 11" is $80 freaking ! wth.

EDIT: I was looking at flat rate thinking it was cheapest. Maybe theres something else. Like priority or something.

Not necessarily. But probably, right?

China has a special subsidy to keep their mail cheap... from the USPS. The special rate is called "ePacket".

As for current rates, check the current ePacket rates and it may be cheaper than you think.

I used to mail occasional gifts to friends in Europe, but that tradition went the way of the dodo about 10 years ago when USPS rates skyrocketed.

There have certainly been ancient tales of rabbits with vicious streaks a mile wide. Apparently; they were the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodents you'd have ever set your eyes on.

Alexa is trying to kill the kids now
Amazon has updated its Alexa voice assistant after it "challenged" a 10-year-old girl to touch a coin to the prongs of a half-inserted plug.

The suggestion came after the girl asked Alexa for a "challenge to do".

"Plug in a phone charger about halfway into a wall outlet, then touch a penny to the exposed prongs," the smart speaker said.

Amazon said it fixed the error as soon as the company became aware of it.

The girl's mother, Kristin Livdahl, described the incident on Twitter.

She said: "We were doing some physical challenges, like laying down and rolling over holding a shoe on your foot, from a [physical education] teacher on YouTube earlier. Bad weather outside. She just wanted another one."

That's when the Echo speaker suggested partaking in the challenge that it had "found on the web".

The dangerous activity, known as "the penny challenge", began circulating on TikTok and other social media websites about a year ago.

As someone who tried a similar trick as a kid, I can attest to the badness of the idea...

When I was around 10yo, I couldn't resist the urge to drop a quarter on the exposed prongs of a lamp plug. While I knew better than to be touching the coin as it met flowing electricity, I failed to anticipate the loud bang and blown breaker that it caused. Once the lights were back on, I saw the burn marks on the wall and discovered the quarter had actually melted onto the plug...had two notches going about halfway through when I pulled it off the prongs.

So yeah, doing this as a TikTok or Echo challenge isn't so smart...
