I'm not slamming you, but just a few posts ago you talked about new discoveries you'd just made on YouTube. It's a pretty regular theme of your posting.
You're the audience generating the pageviews generating the income. There are about half a billion of you out there doing it every day.

If you had done all that in a Borat swimsuit all oiled up and posted the video on Youtube you could have come out making money. Remember that next time.

He's not upset that people put interesting content on the internet. He's upset at the economic realities and disparities that result in baseball players and youtubers raking in millions while worthwhile projects and people who drag humanity kicking and screaming into the future have trouble getting funding. And It's not like Daehawk is personally choosing to fund entertainment rather than science. He's clicking on a link.
Isgrim makes the point clear.
I made my peace with this 30 years ago, but that doesn't mean I don't think it sucks, because it does.

Thank you GG thats it exactly. I just dont type it well. Or clear like that lol. I used to be a huge sport nut. I played all kinds of sports. I collected stuff. Then around my late teens I gave it all up. I dont watch and could care less. They get paid too much.
I just saw that Daniel Craig turned Sony down for a new Bond movie so they came back with a bigger offer...$150 million for two movies. Not sure what he'll do now but geebus really? Ill make 10 for that.

It certainly frustrates me as well, but by now obviously most general aspects of our economy are entrenched. (Youtube may be a relatively new phenomenon, but the ludicrously high payment of popular entertainers is not.) What makes the difference in my eyes, of course, is how the wealthy spend their money.
I don't begrudge the rich enjoying their wealth. Goodness knows, I'd never make myself another meal nor clean my own house if I didn't need to. But how do they use the excess? Do they make any genuine, concerted, ongoing effort to use it to raise up the lowest among us and take care of those who can't take care of themselves? (Vanity adoptions, etc. don't count.) Do they willfully submit to taxation? (Or if they object to corrupt and inefficient aspects of the tax system, do they responsibly challenge it?)
Obviously, the rich spending their wealth altruistically doesn't absolve us of our own responsibility to do as well to each other as we can, within our own means. But the heirs and heiresses spending lavishly only on themselves and/or selfishly clutching their cash with a death grip, yeah--fuck 'em.

I, too, feel that it's weird that someone can pull down a cool $200,000 annually for filming himself playing video games. But there's little in mass-media entertainment economics that doesn't seem off the scale.

He earned $6 million for 2008's "Quantum of Solace" (Worldwide Gross: $586,090,727).
He earned $15 million for 2012's "Skyfall" (Worldwide Gross : $1,108,561,013).
For 2015's "Spectre" (Worldwide Gross: $880,674,609), he earned $22 million for acting, $5 million from endorsements and a $24 million from backend bonuses for a total payday of $52 million.
I think he's earned another raise.

He's also on record for hating everything Bond and never wanting to do another Bond movie ever again.
It's too bad he's so good at them. He's like an anti-PR team all by himself.

Pewdiepie - $728,000 to $11,000,000 per year. I can't say I've ever watched anything on that one; the name alone is too stupid. The Game Theorists, I enjoy, though, and they get $72,000-$1,200,000 per year. I'm fine with that. I also like GradeAUnderA and don't begrudge him making $59,000 to $938,000 per year.
GreenGoo wrote:He's also on record for hating everything Bond and never wanting to do another Bond movie ever again.
I wonder if that's because he thought he was being underpaid, or if he really just hates doing it. At any rate, money fixes a lot of problems. Let's just hope they write the next couple movies with Bond being more jaded and disillusioned. It'll be easier for him to play it.

Wasn't Pierce Brosnan the same in that regard? Maybe that's a prerequisite for getting the role these days. Actors who like the character too much won't portray the adequate level of apathy.

Blairanormal activity.
Daehawk, it's the original, and they do a decent job of mocking it, which is mostly the purpose of these animated shorts.

Here you go: watch a diver
fend off a frickin' great white shark with a speargun.
The footage is from a GoPro attached to the speargun, so the effect is weirdly like a first-person shooter.

Country Roads 50 years of country music ....a really really great music video that includes some legends with the newer folks in country music. loved seeing Alabama, Charlie Pride, Ronnie Milsap, and such in there. Willie is looking so old but he always did to me

Probably the best music video Ive seen in decades. And of course it ends with the best..Dolly Parton.
