Youtube really is a time sink. I think it's unbelievably awesome that you can fire it up and catch a 1988 live performance of Rocket Queen, recorded at the Ritz in NYC. I was listening to GnR at this time but had absolutely no idea going to a live show could be this way. Granted, I was like 14 and this likely would have changed my entire life, but I'm thankful it's archived on the internet forever*. It's also a perfect example of why the rhythm section of GnR is criminally underrated. I'm glad Steven Adler is sober now, but man..what a drummer.

When my first child was about three, he would sit on my lap and we would watch videos of classic trains for what seemed like hours. There's something really compelling about them.

I think this is more of the thing Id like to go see and not live by the guy. Good lord that is a bright setup. The shots from the drone are amazing. Maybe it only does this once an hour or something. Still not sure I could take it.

And are those garbage can sized lights on top some kinda bright light or a laser?

Agreed, but she was cute and her "can't touch this" parachute pants dancing was top notch.

I actually felt the Dad was too much of a showman. It's his daughter's wedding day. A father shouldn't upstage his daughter on that day.

Also, it was about twice as long as it should have been. Not for a youtube video, but for a Daddy/Daughter dance at a wedding.

They must have had a HUGE amount of fun rehearsing it though.

Lastly, as a groom, I would be mildly uncomfortable with my father in law creating such a focus on his relationship with my bride on *my* wedding day. Call it jealousy or whatever, but you're there to celebrate the Bride and the Groom's relationship. Traditionally a wedding is where the Father "let's go" of his daughter and another man becomes the most important man in her life (and obviously vice versa). It's just strange to say "sure, we had a ceremony, but now I'm going to put on a dance show with my Dad so everyone can focus on us while we exclude you on your special day. You can go get a drink if you want".

It just feels weird.

I'd just be proud of how awesome my wife is and happy about how cool my FIL is. Although I would feel pressured to learn how to bust a few moves myself, because I'm someone who dances like Elaine on Seinfeld.
