Hectically jumping from video to video in YouTube I came across a teaser for Star Trek Spock vs Q. Found it wonderful!

I cant find the full presentation with them filmed doing it. Its on there as audio only but Ill wait until I can find it live.

I have such a low tolerance for Atilla's rap/metal garbage that I couldn't even make it through that.

The Cannibal Corpse and Meshuggah ones are funny though

Are they moms from the 80's? They talk like they've never heard of this kind of stuff. Their kids must be 40.

I actually did briefly notice a couple of those things (the youtube vid and the instagram? pic) and it made me wonder if that's what video was for. Good ad.

I'm all for finding ways to prevent school shootings, but all of these 'signs' mean pretty much nothing in 99.99% of kids. You have to intently watch EVERYTHING that EVERYONE does to catch this and put all the pieces together. You can't ask the students to do that; each one has a life to live and their own problems and dreams. You can't put the entire burden on teachers; they're trying to keep 20-30 kids together in a group and focused on a task while trying to accomplish their own goals as employees of the school, and only see each kid for maybe 4-5 hours a week. Posting yourself pointing a gun at the camera on social media, maybe something - but little else in the video is. Being an angsty, angry, attitude-laden teenage kid isn't a punishable offense that requires psychiatric screenings - it's normal.

That kind of leaves the bully factor, which seems to be the biggest trigger for these, and it's something that we're trying to deal with. My kids are learning in schools at very young ages that bullying is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated and that kids are allowed to be different.

I think that video had a great message, but directed the attention at the wrong things. There's nothing evil about being a gun enthusiast or giving people the finger because you want to be left alone, and you can't possibly expect anyone to be able to put all these pieces together until it's hindsight.

Not sure how I missed this last month, but I feel like I need to add seeing GWAR to my bucket list. Here they are for the AV Club performing an AC/DC cover for Election Day, but they open with a sweet Foreplay tribute by Boston - it's like a 2 for 1 special. I should likely add...not safe for work and then end, well..it's GWAR.

I knew the song, but I'd never seen the video. It's funny!

I grew up with country music in the house. In the 1970's my parents were into Emmylou Harris, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and that whole generation. (In fact my dad's aunt worked in the booking office of the Grand Ole Opry in the 1950's and 60's, so there was a family connection to some of the greats.)

By the time I was a teenager, country music was all Hank Jr. and Alabama, and I left it behind. Later, in my 20's and after, I got into "alternative Country," and those are some people I still like. (Gillian Welch, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Wilco, Whiskeytown, DBT, etc.)

Every now and then I tune in to country radio to see what's happening. Bro Country is lame.

My dad loved country music so in the 70's and 80s I was stuck in the car with it all. I hated it all back then. He also dragged me to gospel music things like The Singing Echoes which I truly HATED. Still do. But in the mid 90s I started kinda liking country music then remembered all that dad listened to and found even more music to love.

Whats funny is dad loved Dolly Parton..loved that woman and I ended up marrying her cousin. He died many years ago. Miss him.

Just recently I started listening to a little Glen Campbell, and it took me straight back to hearing it from my parents' albums.

When I hear certain old songs from certain groups...like The Statlers...I instantly think of dad.

I've been digging Sturgill Simpson lately. His songs are great, he's the real deal, but I like this Nirvana cover also...

Does look impressive with no passengers, cargo, and minimal fuel. Load her up and she is just a sluggish fat pig like any other airliner. Remember the 707 was doing barrel rolls 60 years ago.
