I'm not sure that I'd give them credit for being clever. Saying "You worship an elephant and our mascot is an elephant, so vote for us!" is about as clever as saying "Christ was executed by the state and we're pro-capital punishment, so vote for us!"

I haven't bothered to go back and check (because let's be honest, anyone who takes that meme at face value is a moron. No amount of accurate data provided would change their minds), but I assume "Obama's lowest vs. Trump's highest" is the case for all of those cherry-picked stats.

The 50% job approval claim for Trump is based on Rasmussen polling from earlier this year. Their polls are consistently skewed towards Trump; 538 gives them a C+ rating and currently adjusts them by -5% Trump approval and +1% disapproval.

because many young women don't want to become pregnant after an event most young men can just walk away from. And 'adoption' is not exactly a simple 'option'.

The same conservatives who want that woman to have to carry the child to term also super duper think that she should have to pay for her own health care, work full time in order to keep any kind of aid she's receiving, and don't believe that there should be any kind of federally-mandated paid parental leave or child care. Even if you go the adoption route, pregnancy and childbirth is a difficult, expensive, and medically risky process. My sister gave birth very young, and almost died from hemorrhage during birth. My wife is about to have our second, and she's in a ton of discomfort and pain, and that's with an uncomplicated pregnancy, and good medical care.

"Just give the baby up for adoption" isn't, and shouldn't be, the only option available.
