Welcome to the club! 20 years or so ago I picked up a trimmer for about $25. It definitely gets easier and faster with practice. And you learn which places the hair likes to lay flat. I use a comb just in front of the clipper blades to help lift the hair. That helps a lot.

Yeah. I have a mirror on the outside of the bathroom door. So when the door is opened inwards, I can use the mirror over the sink in conjunction with it. But I only use that for trying to get the neckline straight. It's too much of a pain for everything else. The rest I just learned through practice. Also, make sure you are trying all directions: back to front, front to back, left to right, etc. Especially on the top. Because of how my hair lays, I've found moving from the front to the back will be more successful for much of it. But at the top of the back there is a flatter section that I have to do side-to-side with.

And practice using a comb to lift the hair. After all, it's what the professionals do when they cut.

Speaking of calling support. I got someone in India on support once and he simply would ONLY read his damn screen. Nothing I told him mattered. "My screen shows you'll get it today by 9pm so you will. And Im telling him no I wont. Amazon tracking was showing it had shipped but thats it. Then USPS said they hadn't even got the item. I remember it was hours after my mail had ran. Both those trackings are very reliable. Yet that guy would do nothing but repeat over and over his screen says Ill get it today so I will. Lol. That was a fun day..not.

Of course i didn't get it until 2 days later. Its not like the mail runs then they get a package and decide to come back out 9 hours later after dark.

I just buzz the whole shebang down to the skin every six weeks or so, and have been since around '95. I'm actually overdue. I might give that a go today.

I don't know the answer, but I do know that my MIL (completely bald after chemo) eventually had all of her hair grow back.

But it's also totally acceptable for women to wear wigs that look better and are much less trouble than natural hair.

I'd never heard of that (I don't really care about hair loss, so I don't really pay attention), but it made me curious, so I did some quick research and it sounds like it's actually effective - but only for some people. Some people get new hair, some people are out $600. On the bright side, there don't seem to be any harmful side effects.

I wish my ears would go bald too. And I have this one very very fine hair growing out of my nose in my line of sight, but I can't see it to pluck it out. Someday have to see if there's a way to get rid of that forever.

My only trouble spot other than those is way down the back of my neck. I can never trim that effectively myself.

Aye, ears; nose; cheeks; neck, shoulders, and back. Thank goodness I'm blonde/light red. Otherwise you'd see I have carve my face out of the hair when I shave. One has to wonder how my forehead has always been so high when my eyebrows start at the top of nose and cover everything down to my clavicle.

I think I was 35 the first time a barber offered (insisted, really) to trim my eyebrows. Now I ask for it every time.

I have the opposite of a unibrow. My eyebrows don't try to grow together above my nose; instead, they both try to grow down in a curve around the outside of each eye socket.

I find a single tiny hair growing up out of a top pore on my nose about once a week, always in a different place. I wonder if ancient people (without the benefit of tweezers) had hair-covered noses.

I barely have eyebrows you can see. im light blonde anyways but did have nice eyebrows. But about 10 years or so ago I lit a barrel fire and it poofed up and got me in the face singing a lot of my eyebrows off. The outside half are fine but the inside halves are thin and rough to feel and short. its as if i burned them off last week. That plus ago makes me look almost eyebrowless..at least to me.

Ear hair. ugh. I started having some around age 40. Not from the ear canal but on those two little nubs at the bottom of the ear and one on my right earlobe front. Also one inside on the back side of those same spots. I use a tweezer to pull them out. I can feel them growing after about a month and tweeze them again. They are thin and short. I pull them when i can feel them so about the length of a 1 on a keyboard. If I let them grow they still dont get much longer but i find them so annoying to simply have. Hate them as a sign of getting older.

I wish I had big bushy Andy Rooney eyebrows, but alas, when mine get too long they droop down into my eyes, which is quite irritating.

We had a Quiznos back in the 90s then it was gone. The closest to me according to their website is 66 miles away.

In the 90s we had Subway and Quiznos. That was it. I loved Subway but i tried Quiznos and found it much better. Im guessing it was the toasting. Loved them. But they were higher than Subway so didn't go much. Then when they left i missed them. Now we got Subway, Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns and Firehouse and no telling what else. I only love Firehouse. An Engineer or a meatball sub is SO good. And their chili is as good.

Texas roadhouse has really good meaty chili, and you can get two servings instead of two sides with your before 5PM discounted petite sirloin plus a basket of rolls and a bucket of peanuts.

Anything simple I migth have in my cabinet or fridge to spice up or improve crappy mac & cheese? I have like 7 boxes of the stuff from food bank trips. The off brands are horrible but the Kraft i made last night was horrible As figured. Tried Worcestershire and it was meh. Tried hot sauces and the jalapeno one was semi good. Then tried a little mayo. Was a lot better then but Im trying to cut down my mayo addiction.

What else might improve it I could trow at it?

Mustard. Not so much that it tastes like mustard, just mix in a couple of spoonfuls. It's supposed to add to the taste (I normally put mustard powder when I make mac & cheese from scratch, but you can just use regular mustard).

What do you have? Without the cheese pasta and butter or pesto is good for money as is tuna, onion or chives, and green pepper. People seem to like chilimac, or ground beef with some taco seasoning. When I would make Kraft Mac and Cheese, I would add a slice of American cheese and either a second or some cheddar if I had it. Kids in the Hall and Bare Naked Ladies suggest ketchup.

You can experiment with adding bits of onion, garlic, etc, but don't over-spice it. Maybe a *little* mayo.

Also, for making pesto, you can substitute (cheaper) walnuts for pine nuts with absolutely no loss of texture or flavor.

In fact, pine nuts can (for some people sometimes, it's a mystery) give you "pine mouth," which means that for days after consumption you'll get an unpleasant metallic taste on top of everything else you consume.

I might have to try that. I like pine nuts, but to justify blowing ~$35/lb on them? Yeah...pass, since I'm not a foodie and I don't care that much whether or not my pesto is "authentic".

Not much right now honestly. Come Thursday I was thinking i could grab something cheap to try with it.

I have taken the pasta from the boxes before and used that to make chili-mac or regular marinara sauce pasta dishes. Then i have cheese packets left over...and they are bad tasting so i toss them.

I get this at the food bank too. You can make it really tasty by sauteing onions and adding those to your canned sauce to boil for a few min. Maybe a tsp or two of powdered garlic and onion too.

And when you serve it all add some shredded cheese to it and mix it up. i add 4 cheese blend.

I get canned sauce on sale for $1 in the small jars. Three of them is enough to put in the slow cooker to marinate meatballs for sandwiches and later pasta. I season the sauce myself and it's always been good. I get Rsgu, Meijer, Prego, Aldi whatever their brand is. Whatever I can find for a buck. I've never not liked the result or had someone 'meh' it either. I just put in garlic, hot sauce, onion salt, basil, oregano, chilies, and parmigiana mostly.
