I ended up really liking Birch Beer more than traditional Root Beer, something about the extra sour hit me just right.
Never thought to identify just why I like Birch Beer, but I bet sour is the reason. I wonder if they've got any 2Ls in Sarasota as last time I had to buy cans, and it wasn't cheap. Maybe I'll get some Shoo Fly Pie too.
Was thinking about trying to ferment my own Birch Beer.

If I'm getting a pop from Pennsylvania it's gonna be Frank's Cherry Wishniak. It could very well be the best sugary fizzy drink I've ever had.

Fun fact: Alyson Hannigan, everyone's favorite Scooby Gang member, will be 50 years old six months from today.

She still looks like that doofy 20 year old she was. Cute as a button.

I bet none of you think of door to door salesman when you think of Daehawk. But yet I was a door to door salesman in 1987 when I was 18 years old. Its strange for even me to think back to those days. I have no idea why I took that job . None at all lol. Cant imagine that today in todays world. The shtick was to knock on strangers doors and offer them a free roll of paper towels if only they'd let me come into their home and demonstrate a Kirby vacuum cleaner to them. I mean it was women all alone at home letting a 18 year old guy into their home for a roll a cheap paper towels.
And you want to know whats even weirder? I actually talked them into buying a $800+ vacuum cleaner in 1987. Wild thinking back on it. Sounds like the set up to a teen summer romantic comedy romp movie.

That's difficult to believe when we are talking about an 18 year old man. I think there is a reason you were giving away paper towels.

Only if you visit many of the big box stores, you'd think it was next week. Our area had full Christmas regalia out in early August, a new one on me for sure. Pretty soon there will be Halloween stuff out in June!

I realize you're about to post a link showing that someone else already thought of it. I've never had an original idea in my life.

My apartment lobby put up Christmas decorations two weeks ago. It's very strange indeed. We have a new site manager who seems to be overachieving which must explain it, but I still don't understand. In previous years they've always decorated for Hallowe'en here, not to mention Canadian Thanksgiving hasn't happened yet, and it's unusual to decorate for Christmas until after Remembrance day on November 11th.

"Christmas Concierge" is the premise for 4-5 Hallmark Christmas movies per year that my wife watches. You'll never guess what sparks between the concierge and his/her client!

Every year about this time people complain about the stores putting out Christmas stuff early. Those bastards!
They never blame all of the people lined up around the block ready to give cash to whoever has it out first.

I dunno...I mean, I got pretty used to seeing Christmas stuff in stores right after Halloween. But seeing it in stores last week of August? (looking at you, Costco) What's next, going straight from 4th of July BBQ supplies to Christmas trees? It's not a "principle argument", it's the fact that stores have limited space, so because they decided to set out Christmas stuff 4 months early, that means something I might actually need is now out of stock.

At least one of those is fake, one is mislabeled, and one has been colorized.

Maybe - but I still believe that if they're setting out Christmas stuff four months early, it's because more people want to buy that than whatever they would have had there otherwise. Stores make those decisions based on reams of data. And if they don't, the next store over will, and will get that business.

I was woolgathering while supposedly working, and I saw my collection of lego stuff. I remembered that lego game with the portals and all the worlds, and fondly recalled my "dream team" It was Batman, The Doctor, and Gandalf. Those guys could tackle basically any task. My daughter also had a dream team. Wonder Woman, The Wicked Witch, and Chel? (portal gun girl), that was a pretty bad ass combo as well.
Ahh, lego dimensions, thats what it was called.
So, if you could pick any three peeps as a dream team, from any time and space, with a set of skills and strength to tackle any challenge, whats your picks?

Great question. I would have to go with:
The Genie (played by Sinbad) from
Shazzam
Jet Li
Judit Polgar
