Pretty sure he's not even allowed in the stadium. I know he's not allowed to choose the Pats when he plays Maddon.

I thought my comment was football oriented and not political. A player says/does something controversial and there's blowback. The controversy could be about anything, in this case it was the national anthem thing. I was just pointing out that his timing causes me to doubt he actually even cares about the cause he is supposedly supporting. The season is about to start and he's fighting for his job, these are two things happening now that weren't happening before. So I'm saying that's why now is when he's brought up this cause. I think it's a cynical move intended to raise his profile in the game at a time where he's afraid he's losing his place in the game, that's not talking politics is it?

Except that you're wrong if you actually listen to Kaepernick speak. He's obviously very passionate about this issue, though I did have the same concerns previously.

He must be, I mean it must be grueling to sit for the entire national anthem. Such a cross to bare.

Like I said, just a suggestion. I suspect most people know whether they really want to discuss the political or sports aspects of the situation, and when they're using one as a cover for the other. I also know that there's obviously some overlap here, which is why I'm not interested in enforcing anything right now.

Bridgewater's season may be over before it began - they immoblized his left knee after going down without contact and carted him from the field. Said to have been in agony.
My favorite part of the story is teammates dropped to their knees and started praying and swearing. I'm presuming it wasn't the same ones doing both actions.

I'll be interested in seeing what the injury is since they had an ambulance carry him off.
Ligament tears don't require an ambulance. Wondering if it's some type of fracture with blood loss.
Not a Viking fan per day, but I really liked watching Teddy play. Seems like an awfully nice young man too.
Vikings have/had the potential to be very very good this year as well.

Surprising no one, Mark Sanchez won't be the starting QB in Denver.
How Trevor Siemian, the Broncos’ most unknown QB, made the leap
But the Broncos’ open quarterback competition has been just that — open — since March, when Manning retired, Brock Osweiler bolted and Mark Sanchez, a seventh-year vet, arrived to fill the void. It stayed open when the Broncos traded up to select their future in Paxton Lynch. And it still is open after the Broncos’ preseason victory at Chicago, where Sanchez and Siemian each played a quarter.

With all of the QB woes going on, maybe that will warrant watching more than two Leos games before moving on to other things this season.
/If Hill beats Detroit twice this season, I will listen to talk radio about Lions, though. That will be entertaining.

NBC
In his first officiating video of the year, NFL V.P. of officiating Dean Blandino explains that the league regards four weeks as a sufficient sample size for developing opinions regarding the impact of a rule change. He also said that, as to whether the touchback adjustment will decrease kickoff returns (which is the desired effect), the rate of returns in the preseason is irrelevant, because coaches want to evaluate their coverage and return units.
...
PFT previously has reported that the NFL most likely won’t change the rule during the season. Still, with plenty of coaches making clear their intent to attempt to prevent the opposing team from getting a free extra five yards of field position by taking a knee and starting at the 25, it won’t be a stretch if the facts after four weeks scream out to the league, “I told you so.”

I would enjoy that on multiple levels but am tempering my hopes at this point. Dak looks like he might be awesome, let's see how he handles being a rookie.

When Nick Foles was available I thought for sure the Cowboys would get him. Romo gets hurt, this is known. Unlike other teams who only need a 'what if' quality backup, the Cowboys need a higher guality 'when' backup. But they passed on him, no pun intended. Now look. It makes me think the owner is so invested in Romo he won't allow himself to face reality.

That's gold,
Jerry! GOLD!
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones indicated the Dallas Cowboys will keep Tony Romo on the team's active roster as the quarterback recovers from a compression fracture in his back.
"We don't have anybody valuable enough to take up that lost spot to give us the opportunity to see how [Romo] does," Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. "There's just not enough value there realistically to bring someone else in. That's the deciding factor. You don't have to spend a lot of time, going over and kind of circumcising a mosquito. ... There's nobody good enough to take that spot to give you a chance for that 'if' -- if [Romo] can come back."
...
The Cowboys will make Romo inactive for games until he is healthy. Until then, Dak Prescott will be the starter and Mark Sanchez is the backup. Romo remains in a back brace and he will undergo X-rays to check the healing process in the next week or so, according to Jones.

So that's what stessier's/Katie Nolan's joke means? The Pats are claiming Seattle's emoji, too? I couldn't quite figure that one out . . . .
The Bears' hashtag is just stupid. Why on earth would they go with "#FeedDaBears" instead of "#BearDown"?
