I never liked Centipede, so I can not play it just fine with a conventional mouse.

BAM! Sort of. More of a little bam I guess.
A BAM! is only used when someone (usually Issie) steps into a discussion to provide an answer before anyone else. Dumb jokes are not BAM! material.

I am putting up clocks in my office for various time zones. Because I am just like that.
The India one makes the most sense, but I can't stop there, I need one for each location where my peeps are working. So I have a clock for Bulgaria, which is not most peoples first thought when asked 'name a country in europe".

...and the clock you've put up for "Sexytown, USA" is what time zone exactly?
one coder has since 'hacked' a number of Atari 2600 ROMs to take advantage of the trackball (that would work really well with it, but didn't have support built in:
Centipede
Challenge of Nexar
Colony 7
Millipede
Missile Command
Missile Control
Plaque Attack
Reactor
Space Master X-7
Star Wars the Arcade Game
)

this is the trackball i request at every new job i get:
haven't yet tried to get acclimated to gaming with it, however
…as depicted in the image that so disturbed ImLawBoy:
That appears to be the wireless version, but wired or wireless, both are superb choices for office, multimedia editing, and productivity tasks. It's less than ideal for gaming though, due to its somewhat pedestrian sensor (but if you're so inclined, the default sensor can be swapped out and improved, as shown here). Although broadly speaking, you're likely better off using a trackball specifically intended for gaming, such as those available from GameBall.

I remember hearing lots of good things about this model (or a different, similar Kensington) when I was still trackballing, but never had the extra money to try it. One of the problems is that there are (or at least used to be) very, very few trackballs with scroll wheels.

I've been using the trackball with the right hand thumb for over 20 years now. They all have had the scroll wheel. It's not for everybody but it suits me and my limited space.

Too bad the Atari 2600 didn't have a track ball too.
um... there was one
I lived in the boonies, surprising I could even get an Atari 2600. Probably from the now defunct "Service Merchandise" two hours away in Ocala. Had to dig deep to remember that name.

Indeed, in my experience, scroll wheels on most Kensington trackballs are top notch, and typically provide outstanding tactile feedback. Also, you can often find Kensington trackballs available for a bargain price courtesy of Amazon Warehouse deals (usually with some minor box damage or the like, but otherwise perfectly functional).

In Ontario schools in Canada in the 80's and 90's, we had these computers with huge keyboards with trackballs attached to them. They were essentially UNIX network machines connected to a host, with the machines essentially acting as clients. We'd spin the trackballs endlessly. The computers were commissioned by the Ontario government as uniquely built computers for the classroom, but they proved very costly and the program was scrapped in the early 90's, and most of them were subsequently destroyed, as ordered by the government.
I grew up in Saskatchewan, so no. My high school was going to start it's first computer class the year after I graduated. I think they were going to use the Apple II, but I'm not certain about that. What I am certain about is that our biology teacher was salty about drawing the short straw and being tagged as the computer science teacher.

Heh, at my high-school it was a mix of ICONs in one room, and I know everyone admired the IBM PCs in the next room, as the ICONS were notoriously slow Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when we all moved over to using the PCs.

This...as long as you make sure that you have received the transfer before they leave with their goods, Zelle is a legitimate means of payment directly from one bank account to another.

Zelle itself is legit. I use it myself. However, it's also a tool of scammers. The fact that the guy isn't responding and having someone else pick up the item are all red flags.
Feel free to read through the comments on this Reddit post to see all the different ways how they scam you with Zelle. Basically a legit buyer that has money in their bank account to use Zelle wouldn't have a problem just going to an ATM and handing you the cash (we are not talking hundreds of dollars here).

In the middle of the feeling life spiraling out of control. This Monday got news my good friend's wife passed away, then Tuesday my wife's close friend passed away, and just yesterday was hit with the sudden news that my Uncle died when he collided with a tractor trailer.
I don't know how many others have had that "enough is enough" feeling but this inability to properly grieve and provide support for others when getting hit left and right with awful news is really testing my sanity.
I apologize for the downer post, I just needed an outlet to vent briefly before heading out this morning and being with my mom. Deep breath... carry on.

Alas, grief is a journey of self-discovery and resilience, so it’s important to be patient with yourself.

This is also a great place to vent frustrations when you need to. Most of us have done it at one point or another - no need to apologize.
