The Fresh Beat Band makes me want to stab my ear drums. Though I suppose I should find some solace in the fact that it's not a 4-man show like the Wiggles.

I think for the first time ever the Christmas bug it hitting me and doing it not only before Turkey Day but before Halloween.

My Christmas tradition has been to watch the LotR series. I am already feeling the desire to see it and waiting for XMas break or Vacation time to reset and preparing for snow and such in my mind.

I think it's because they convinced me to start wearing long sleeved shirts and jackets too early.

Random 'Away From Keyboard' lines I've heard while gaming:

"afk, cat is on fire omg"
"be back in a bit .. girlfriend's in labor"
"wtf? someone is robbing my house"
"mom's walking down hallway, be back soon" (had to throw in a mild one)

There's more, ranging from roommates being shot to random bodily functions, but those few are my personal favorites.

And a line just for Miltonite -- "GG guys, GG!"
"The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.'" -George Carlin

Heh, that makes me remember when me and my brother got assaulted (mostly him) in my apartment and I was playing EVE Online.
Don't remember exactly what I blurted out, but I had to dock and logout at least :P

If you get the chance, go see a "gothabilly" band out of Ohio called Cult of the Psychic Fetus.

They are shit ton of fun. And Detroiters you really need to experience Theatre Bizarre one year. A night of Theatre Bizarre is a way better carnival experience than spending a day a RenFest. Every year it gets to be just more and more of everything. When I asked John if he's fulfilled his vision, he said it's getting there.

The biggest disappointment was how early it ended this year. The one time I was going to stay out and watch the sun rise we broke well before breakfast time. :(

Fortunately, spending 30 seconds around girls of that age is a great libido killer. I suppose there's a reason God made teenagers so annoying.

Is there really such a thing as food coma, because I'm succumbing to it right now. Strange thing is I'm not afraid. I'm drawn to the light that is this coma with open arms. Pot lucks can be fun, but otherwise down right dangerous. How do they expect me to work with this much food is my stomach. Ridiculous.

In addition to 39% income tax, what other taxes do you pay?

I pay Income, Social Security, and Medicare to the feds.
Income and Sales/service to the state.
Sales/service, Property and Real Estate to localities (city & county collect them, but some portion may go to the state)
Gasoline taxes are similar to sales, but are $/gallon instead of a % of each $.
Then there are fees like Vehicle tag renewal, pet license fees, and fees added onto utility bills (e.g. universal service charge).

Look up Welcome Tax in Quebec. You pay a tax when you move into a lodging... even if you move three doors down (yes, I shit you not, happened yesterday here in MTL. Guy moved three doors down in the same building and had to pay another welcome tax).

We have the GST which is canada wide and then that amount is taxed by the province, that's right, they tax the tax. Illegal and yet, there we are. We pay around 4.25/gallon. Etc Etc Etc

We love Canada.

What I found said that is the Title Transfer Tax. That's not so unusual and it makes sense that you'd have to pay it every time you moved. Now the rate of the tax is insane - so you have a point there. :)

Yes but when you move three doors down... I'm sorry but that's stupid crazy. And yes, the rate makes it even crazier, hehe.

My wife fell down in the gravel today and wrenched her back. Had to call the ambulance. Fortunately the Xrays didn't show any broken bones. She's still in immense pain. One of the paramedics who picked up my wife was the 911 operator when I was stuck on the roof.
Meanwhile my arm around my wrist has turned all black and red.
And now one of the fracking dogs has come in season and we don't want her bred.

Why oh why didn't I stay a hermit?

I think someone has pulled some strange sort of voodoo and time has come to a standstill this afternoon. I feel like Vergis Meridith with broken glasses... except I have a ton of work sitting here...

There are days when I am climbing the walls to not be at work and this is one of them. It'd be a perfect day for pirate resignation letter if I didn't have to work for a living. I really need to win the lotto.

This might be the weekend to join facebook. That or it's the weekend to try and catch up on sleep. I am so glad the time change is this weekend. Another hour to fall back to sleep. Getting up when it is dark out is for the birds. Heck it's not even for the birds. The birds get up at first light. It's pitch freaking black even by they time I get in my car and make my commute. It's inhumane I tells ya. I'm a freakin bear. I should be hibernating.

I don't feel like handing out candy this year and that sucks. I'm a total Scrooge. I don't want to spend twenty bucks for the privilege of sitting at my front door for three hours. In virtue of this I'll need to have my lights off. The easiest way to do that is to do go out but I don't really want to go out either. I'd rather take care of shit around the house... Which will require leaving all of the lights on. Stupid suburban life.

And in this time a minute has passed. Come on now. Is someone playing with the clocks? This is rigodamnediculous.
