It might be the launch of another NFT offering. Nothing to do with election tampering, everything to do with Trump.

Heh. I always walk past the Philadelphia Four Seasons (the fancy hotel, not the landscaper) on my way to work. I never don't think about that stupid, stupid day.
It’s going to be very interesting. This whole thing Is like a bad 80s goofball movie with bad sexiest jokes and nerdy kids getting beaten up.Grifman wrote: Tue Aug 15, 2023 4:55 pm Trump had called a press conference for Monday at 11:00 to reveal new proof of election fraud:

Should be fun! Can hardly wait!
You will only see the evidence if you donate to the Trump and his campaign against the horrible and horrendous and unprecedented racist anti-Trump agenda designed to ruin this country and take it back into dark times when it wasn’t run by Trump.
Even after you have paid only true believers who believe in the greatest president there has ever been and the most perfect phone calls ever made will be able to see the exonerating evidence that shows that the election was in fact stolen from the greatest president ever and delivered into the hands of the communist and soulless democrats who seek to destroy this country with their liberal dictatorship of evil…. Etc
I truly cannot tell if that’s something you made up or if it’s Trump’s actual email copy that has been sent out to MAGA-land.waitingtoconnect wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2023 6:32 pm

I call foul. It's made up. Pretty sure. Well, maybe. Probably. Ok, I don't know either.Skinypupy wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2023 6:51 pm I truly cannot tell if that’s something you made up or if it’s Trump’s actual email copy that has been sent out to MAGA-land.
Definitely not real. No all-caps words.
I don't know that it happened this particular time, but 100% chance the above has actually happened. Likely, more than once.Carpet_pissr wrote: Fri Aug 18, 2023 8:39 am It amuses me to think at some point, there was probably some intern, or executive assistant maybe, possibly a PR consultant, that suggested his use of capitalization was incorrect.
“Sir, we may want change these capital letters here…”
“What? Why?”
“Well, just seems a bit…excessive, sir, begging your pardon …it’s also grammatically incorrect…I just want…”
“The FUCK did you just say to me?! Get the fuck outta here! Jimmy! Get this piece of shit out of my sight, and don’t be too gentle!”
Why don’t tweets show up anymore? I deleted Twitter when it became X, and for a while, I was still seeing embedded tweets. Now it’s just a url that goes nowhere for me. Thoughts?Grifman wrote: Fri Aug 18, 2023 6:44 am Surprise, Trump lied - no press conference with proof of election fraud on Monday:

In firefox, for me, x dot com shows as a link and then redirects to twitter dot com. Twitter dot com shows as embedded.Kurth wrote: Fri Aug 18, 2023 1:38 pmWhy don’t tweets show up anymore? I see the embedded xeet. I've thrown url tags on it here so it just shows up as a link now, but in the original post I see it embedded here at OO.LordMortis wrote: Fri Aug 18, 2023 2:00 pm What happens for you on this link?

), but random capitalization everywhere.
Hell, I do it too for reasons I don't understand.
I have the same experience you describe. I’m using explorer on the pc and safari, on my iPhone. Both fail to embed X, but are fine with the twitter.GreenGoo wrote: Fri Aug 18, 2023 2:07 pmI see the embedded xeet. The x.com domain links are not embedded for me, but are clickable and do take me to the appropriate xeet.
I use firefox.
TBH, those Agents DEFINITELY shouldn't be on Biden's detail, and probably should be suspended or fired...Internal Secret Service emails obtained by CREW show special agents in close communication with Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes, while failing to acknowledge the group’s ties to white nationalists and clashes with law enforcement.
In September 2020, a Secret Service agent sent an email to others within the agency, informing them that he had just spoken to Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes about an upcoming visit by then-President Trump to Fayetteville, NC. The agent, who referred to himself as “the unofficial liaison to the Oath Keepers (inching towards official),”

Giuliani admitted to making false statements but argued they were protected by the first amendment, in an earlier court filing.

According to the Wednesday ruling, Giuliani is also liable for “intentional infliction of emotional distress, civil conspiracy and punitive damage claims”.

Trump is set to host a fundraiser for Giuliani at his New Jersey golf club this September, and it will cost each guest $100,000 to attend.
The defamation case will now go to trial to determine the amount of damages. While it is unclear how much Giuliani will be required to pay, Howell ruled that he owes $89,172.50, with interest, in attorney fees for Freeman and Moss on their successful motion to compel discovery
I actually thought this was a good guess. A little bait and switch grifting would have been par for the course. But no. My first thought was, if TFG is hosting the fundraiser, what is the actual chance that Giuliani ever actually sees any of the money?Unagi wrote: Thu Aug 31, 2023 10:37 amIsgrimnur wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 10:38 pm Rudy Giuliani liable for defaming Georgia election workers, judge rules

The grift will never end, not even as they circle the drain.

Wisconsin's Democratic attorney general immediately filed a lawsuit asserting that the hearing carried no legal weight because Wolfe — who has held the nonpartisan post since 2019 — had never been officially nominated to a second term.

At issue is a legal question about what constitutes a vacancy in public office. Last summer, a conservative majority in the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that an appointed official's term expiring does not automatically create a vacancy to be filled.
So far, change and the dismantling of gerrymandering is beginning to effect change in my state. (we'll see how things go with strikes and the 2024 election) I hope the same thing happens in Wisconsin. It's a bed the GOP has made. Let's just hope the democrats don't break the box spring.Isgrimnur wrote: Fri Sep 15, 2023 3:08 pm 2 controversial votes at Wisconsin's state Capitol show GOP efforts to shape elections

I would love to see MI's reforms spread to other purple and reddish states, and WI is the best test case for whether than can happen. Some pundits wrote democracy off in that state a while ago, so it's encouraging that the majority has even a slight chance of overthrowing the minority party. All they need is a level playing field.LordMortis wrote: Fri Sep 15, 2023 6:00 pmSo far, change and the dismantling of gerrymandering is beginning to effect change in my state. Moss and Freeman's lawyer urged the jurors to award his clients at least $24 million each. Giuliani's attorney suggested the amount should be much less. Giuliani failed to produce records during the discovery process while making “excuses” to shroud his noncompliance, according to the opinion by Judge Beryl Howell, of the federal US district court for the District of Columbia.
The jury submitted a note to the judge asking if they could be provided with a copy of the slideshow and reports presented by the plaintiff's expert witness, Ashlee Humphreys.
The documents in question detail her assessment of what she believes the plaintiffs should be awarded in damages. The request was denied, as the documents had not been entered into evidence.
Rudy Giuliani must pay two Georgia poll workers who sued him for defamation $148 million after he falsely accused them of helping to steal the 2020 presidential election from Donald Trump.
