Honestly, what else does Trump need to do at this point? Hang a picture of Putin in his office?
That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons bring us some web forums whereupon we can gather

That is pretty damning, especially since I can think of little reason to support Russia's annexation of Crimea. It's taking the exact opposite view of Russia that has existed since at least the second world war.El Guapo wrote:Honestly, what else does Trump need to do at this point? It's such a great off-the-cuff joke that he just shared it on twitter.Enough wrote:Pearl-clutcher, Trump was obviously just joking around.Captain Caveman wrote:A presidential nominee inviting espionage by a foreign power kind of seems like something that should be a big deal.
I'm pretty certain he doesn't have one since he has no idea what/where the Crimea is.GreenGoo wrote:I'm curious what his rationale is for this position.
I suspect it's also part of his effort to reframe his call on Russia to hack Hillary to instead be a call on anyone who *already hacked* Hillary to release what they've found. So that way he's not calling for a new crime to be committed, he is instead merely attempting to benefit from a possible crime that was committed in the past. Which I guess is better.Captain Caveman wrote:It's such a great off-the-cuff joke that he just shared it on twitter.Enough wrote:Pearl-clutcher, Trump was obviously just joking around.Captain Caveman wrote:A presidential nominee inviting espionage by a foreign power kind of seems like something that should be a big deal.
More than anything, this tells me that he loves all the attention his comments at the press conference got and decided to double-down on twitter to fan the flames. Anything to distract attention away from the DNC and back to him.
Holy moly.El Guapo wrote: Honestly, what else does Trump need to do at this point? Hang a picture of Putin in his office?
So just more of the same?YellowKing wrote:Can you imagine the firestorm if the shoe was on the other foot and Hillary was cozying up to Putin and tacitly explicitly endorsing Russia's hacking of RNC servers? There would be Congressional hearings for decades.
And Eisenhower. And Nixon. The Bushes, father and son, probably at least both face-palmed upon hearing the news.tru1cy wrote:Ronald Reagan has to be rolling over in his grave. Seriously, this is the GOP nominee

It's the payment for services rendered that is the problem.Rip wrote:He isn't inviting espionage, there was nothing classified in there, remember?
Besides he is just asking for some help finding lost stuff. If someone finds your lost stuff is that stealing? Even when they are giving it back?

Don't forget when Pence signed a law that made it a jailable felony for a same-sex couple to apply for a marriage license.Defiant wrote:Out trying to ban Muslims and denigrate Mexicans?Blackhawk wrote:Where is McCarthyism when you need it?
Can't be ruled out. We'll know for sure when he suggests nuking NATO in order to get our money.El Guapo wrote:Are we sure that Trump wasn't Manchurian Candidate'd during a previous visit to Russia?
Which, as Grifman pointed out, is not and never will be the USA's money even if everyone meets their obligations.Archinerd wrote:Can't be ruled out. He could endorse Hillary....Smoove_B wrote:If this is indeed some type of Andy Kaufman long-con, his team has to be out of their minds trying to figure out exactly how to get people to not like him. I mean really, what will it take for people to realize the insanity of this situation?

Doral is great. I think I have over 1000 Hispanics working at Doral and they're doing a great job.

He's directly quoting Obama...GreenGoo wrote:..the fuck?!malchior wrote:Dopey Donald wrote: as he says, "Don't jive."
Drumpf has to be playing a part. No one real says stuff like this. Well, no nominee for the presidency anyway. They wouldn't even speak like that in the 60's. Just how sheltered from the world is Drumpf?
No, he's misquoting Obama (who seems to know the difference between "jibe" and "jive").RunningMn9 wrote:He's directly quoting Obama...GreenGoo wrote:..the fuck?!malchior wrote:Dopey Donald wrote: as he says, "Don't jive."

FWIW, I always thought it was "jive" as well.tgb wrote:Saying something doesn't "jibe" with facts is not a new expression, although may not be particularly common. The fact that the Drumpfster quoted it as "jive" speaks to a)his inherent racism and b)his inherent stupidity.

Interestingly enough our State constitution only prevents him from 3 consecutive terms. He could (for example) find himself working as Donald Trump's Deputy Administrator at the Federal Highway Administration for 4 years and then run for NJ governor again in 2021.RunningMn9 wrote:He's out after 2017 anyway.
