Not sure how I stumbled on it on YouTube but I found the 1983 ABC “The Day After” movie in its 1:75:1 ratio and finished watching it again after 37 years. Man that still kicks me hard.

After reading some of the comments, there’s a 1984 movie from the BBC called Threads that’s suppose to be just as bleak that I never heard of. I found it on Amazon Prime and will start it tonight.

Enjoyed that as a kid watching it with dad. Flipping through it now I find it funny that a motorcycle and cars without computers would die.

Threads had absolutely no glimmer of hope at the end. Spanning 13 years after the attack and the way it ended suddenly. Sheesh. It does make The Day After seem tame in comparison.

I watched Threads years ago and I’m now watching it again. The BBC didn’t screw around and I think I’ll be needing to watch a mindless comedy after this.
