i seem to remember a number of dog shows around that time. there was Benji and was there a Lassie remake? i remember the cartoon. (and there was a later Benji one where he teams up with an alien and a droid to fight these malicious people from another planet)

Its still in use today

Side by side 1902 and 2015. Look at 1:15. The change is stark. In 1902 its a beautiful view of the hills with a simple village of farm houses and grass and in 2015 you cant see a damn thing.

FWIW, sometime between 1902 and 2015 approximately half of that town was carpet bombed down to rubble and rebuilt from scratch.

Seeing those Mark and Patrick videos made me go look up their birthdays. Mark is only 11 years younger than Patrick. So when Luke was saving Leia at age 26 Patrick was just 37 himself. Only 2 years older than Harrison Ford as Han Solo.
