Except for the part of playin' with the tree. I have gotten out of dodge and come back to give you my take on the events already.Arnir wrote:So, what is our current situation? One dead zombie with a SaraLee eye in it and some guy (Hey, I'm just tagging along here) playing with the tree. Is that about right?
Haven't we met before? Just kidding.Hyena wrote:Except for the part of playin' with the tree. But otherwise, yeah. That about sums it up.
Trolls need the burning. Zombies stay dead(er?).Arnir wrote:BTW, in this mythos do the zombies stay dead or do we need to burn it or something. Too much Buffy, I guess.
Move 'em on, head 'em up,
Head 'em up, move 'em out,
Move 'em on, head 'em out Rawhide!
Set 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, let 'em out,
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in Rawhide.
Just to be clear, that was my characters take on the undead...there are no undead here, we let them flee...a 'natural' tree on the other hand I see no reason to disturb and in fact would probably try to disuade the group from attacking unless you could show me concrete proof that tree = production of undead trogsHyena wrote:Unless I am mistaken, were not the forest dwellers and holy warriors among us determined to...what was the phrase...
I suggest crossing the river where the undead enter and exit!Hyena wrote:If we all are in agreement, I say we attack the tree from the opposite side from the river. That way if the undead do swarm to defend the tree as it dies we'll have plenty of time to launch arrows and such to thin the crowd as they get closer.
Are there any other suggestions before we begin?
I have no ranged weapons but I agree that the idea is sound.Hyena wrote:If we all are in agreement, I say we attack the tree from the opposite side from the river. I guess I am still missing how crystals at base of tree = tree created undead trogscoopasonic wrote:Kupa moves close enough to detect evil, trying to determine if there is evil in the crytals at the base or the tree itself... or the shard in the dead trog's chest.
After that, you can fire away, unless the nature types would like to give the tree a hug first.
Crystals in dead trog's chest = crystals created undead trogs... question is are crystals controlling the tree or tree controlling the crystals. That's the point of my detect evil effort. Of course the crystal may not be evil, just dangerous.Grafvolluth wrote:I guess I am still missing how crystals at base of tree = tree created undead trogs
Of course as a druid I would expect you to be suspicious of our desire to randomly assassinate a helpless tree. No worries, but roleplay it out if you really want to get to the heart of the matter.Grafvolluth wrote:I guess I am still missing how crystals at base of tree = tree created undead trogscoopasonic wrote:Kupa moves close enough to detect evil, trying to determine if there is evil in the crytals at the base or the tree itself... or the shard in the dead trog's chest.

But whatever, Allanon failed his wisdom roll (along with me) and he will roll with the flow, single hand xbow at the ready....
I will let my chaotic rouge alter ego go into bloodthirsty mode....Hyena wrote:Of course as a druid I would expect you to be suspicious of our desire to randomly assassinate a helpless tree. Or, more specifically, a crystal in the heart of the matter...

Tree - not evilcoopasonic wrote:Kupa moves close enough to detect evil, trying to determine if there is evil in the crytals at the base or the tree itself... or the shard in the dead trog's chest.
Halfling holding sheet of lead - no reading.Chaosraven wrote:Tree - not evilcoopasonic wrote:Kupa moves close enough to detect evil, trying to determine if there is evil in the crytals at the base or the tree itself... or the shard in the dead trog's chest.
Crystals - evil
AH HAH, I would prance around and tell you I told you so or some such but Druids don't prance... If Kupa shares this information I will hug the tree and then use a tuning fork to shatter the crystals of undeath....Chaosraven wrote:Tree - not evilcoopasonic wrote:Kupa moves close enough to detect evil, trying to determine if there is evil in the crytals at the base or the tree itself... or the shard in the dead trog's chest.

The crystal shatters easily...Hyena wrote:Let's try to find out how resilient these crystals are. I try to bust the one in the trog's chest with a rock. Without touching the blasted thing, of course.
