Just paid my Gas and Electric.

Getting ready to redo my budget because gas usage cost is about double what normally used to be and electric is costing what it normally does in July/August already for May. When AC is up and running full time, it's gonna get painful. Good thing I don't drive so much any more.

Yesterday I paid $4.19 gal for gas. Thats about .30 cents cheaper than a couple weeks ago.

If I do the math, I'd be around 6.9 mi/$. Assuming $5.50 gas and 38MPG. But it's a flight of fancy because I don't put 3K miles on my car in most years, never mind a single round trip.

I saw gas yesterday at $5.29 and thought things were improved. One of the nice things about being retired is how little I am driving right now.

I haven't had to fill up in a couple of months. I don't know the price of gas right now. Last I saw it was around $3.40.
That means to fill up the truck and car I'm looking at $100. Good thing I have lots of money.

My car can tell when it gets bad gas. Its sputtering and spurting. Whatever gas they are selling as the cheap stuff right now is God awful.

I've been buying mid or higher ever since I got some garbage in Indiana earlier this year. Check engine light came on a week before emissions inspection. Had to put on miles to get that crap out and fill up with the BP 93 stuff to get the light off. (They won't do the inspection if the light is on).

Well since we don't have a low gas tax anymore (THANKS CHRISTIE) the lowest I've seen is 3.83. Honestly we don't drive enough that this has really been killing me. When I need to order gas for the house is when I will feel the pain.

This thread got me curious to see what prices were like by me. I know for awhile they shot up over $4 a gallon, but I drive so infrequently anymore I didn't really pay attention.

AAA says gas in my county here in FL is averaging $3.51, and Google says the station by my house is $3.46.

Still as much as $5 in the name brand stations (BP, Shell), as low as $4.10 in the "can they legally call this gas?" stations. It briefly went under $4 in the latter, but the next day bounced up 45 cents.

You sure about that? I think there are much closer to 4 liters in a gallon. Depending on what type of gallon we are talking about.

Your math is wrong. There are 3.78 liters per gallon, @1.53 per it comes out to $5.78 per gallon.

Got gas for my pickup truck. First time since last year. $3.45 a gal. Also some gas for the lawnmower. Over $70.

Gas prices here are schizoid. Two days ago during my walk, $4.29. Yesterday on my drive home $4.49. Morning walk today says $3.89. With the Opec meeting today, Ian aftermath, XLE jumping, and of course crude going up, I fully expect to see it at $5 by the time I get out today to do my shopping. If it remains $3.89, I might just need to fill a half tank rather than waiting until the 1/4 or less tank.

5.99! The one station in my town was 3.15 yesterday. On the bright side Opec looks like they are going to cut down supply so we should see it jump back up any minute now.
