I think the liberal reaction to Clinton's sexual conduct in the 90s set us back a long way. It's an actual case of "But Clinton did it" that while not defensible, is absolutely true and damning of liberal hypocrisy. It seems to me that a little over a year ago we were trying to elect someone to president who was complicit in the cover up of those abuses of power and told everyone else to mind their own damned business and who still remain unapologetic 20 plus years later. I'm not sure how you convince me otherwise as its a been sitting with me for 20 years. This is not a Democrat/Republican thing to me. Clinton - to my knowledge - was a serial harasser but not a rapist.
