Because he's claiming to be the Seer. I've had my suspicions for a while but I'd rather he came straight out with it. Deadline is coming and there may be counter-claimers to wolf Scoop faker.

Mod Question:
Shaman(seer) - at night can ask the mod for the true nature of anyone.
Does that mean the seer will be told if he finds the weaponsmith? I assumed he would be told pirate/evil spirit.

Scoop is "pretty sure" the Shooter is alive. This can be because he's the Seer and scanned the shooter. Unless he's not told the shooter is the shooter when scanning him (merely "not wolf"), in which case Scoop can only be sure the shooter is alive if he, himself, is the shooter.

With only two night kills? Unlikely. Regardless, it's why I want him to state clearly if he's the seer or shooter so either of them can contest it. If Scoop won't, I call wolf trick.

Actually, let me put my money where my mouth is (is that the expression?).
wd Remus
Scoop
...until he explains himself, he's a wolf to me. I've been in several villages where wolves were sort of-semi-claiming a role to gain clot while not taking the risk of invoking a counter-claim by doing a hard claim. Hell, I've done it myself.

True nature = Everything; including what they are special wise. So yes the seer could scan and find out who the weaponsmith is.

If you're a special, you suck because you've given yourself away. If you continue to hide your role you're only helping the wolves, who can kill you tonight and then fake whichever role they desire.
If you're a villager, you suck because you've let on that you have a special role.
If you're a wolf, you just took a risk to garner trust.
Please do explain.

I'm sure that this will all be covered in his "threat list".
My guess is more on the shooter side - that Scoop either is the shooter or wants everyone to think that he is the shooter (which could be ordinary villager trying to draw the night kill, or could be wolf trying to garner trust / find out if the shooter is still alive). The shooter fits with his checking in, "jumping the gun" remark. Also could be that he's the shooter, disagrees with the assessment to shoot today, and so was trying to explain why the shooter might not shoot while trying not to out himself as the shooter at the same time.

IMO wolves don't look for specials among the chatty players. Scoop is seasoned enough to know this.

I think I need to sit down for this, but I actually agree with Lagom. That just seems like a really bad play. If you are trying to make a play then, well the bad guys will see through it.

I agree it is the way he has carried on today. I meant normally you want to protect the special by getting yourself lynched.
He has so over played it though, if he dies tonight and the seer comes out later then how are we to trust that player.
We may have to force his hand today.

This is what I am leaning for right now. Sometimes the best play a villager can make a pivotal times is no play. He play and then subsequent lack of explanation only muddies the waters and the bad guys who have a much more complete picture will have the advantage. I don't see the positive in this play.

I'm not sure how anyone can be "pretty sure" of the shooter at this point. There's nothing to go on. Either he's the shooter (and he knows for sure) or he's the seer and has discovered the shooter (and he knows for sure). There is no "pretty sure."
Perhaps wolves are told more in this game than regular villagers are? The rules don't explicitly forbid that as I read them.
I hope the shooter is out there and pulls the trigger. Otherwise the odds are getting short.

I had two choices at the start of today. I could have told everyone (including the wolves) everything I know and remove all doubt or I could "advise" you all.
I chose a strategy that gives us the best chance to slay a wolf today without wasting a precious resources.
There has been no push for my bandwagon since the very start of the game by Theohall and that only lasted a few posts.
So, I am not releasing this information out of desperation to save my skin.
And think about it. Of course, the wolves are screaming for me to declare what I meant.
All I will say is the I'm "pretty sure" the shooter still lives and I'm positive the shooter should not take a shot today. It would be a shot in the dark.
Everyone has checked in and with no one to declaring anything we still have the same (although not exact since we have had two bandwagons to review) problem.
I made this move knowing full well that it brings a lot of attention to myself as well as a ton of pressure.
You can string me up the yard arm but it will only hurt the good pirates.
I've said my piece on this subject. I suggest we start analyzing the bandwagons.

If scoop is a wolf then kudos to him for the brilliant play. He feels like the good scoop that makes you want to pull your hair out.
Bubbles and Pr0ner, not enough info, which is just like others games when they are normal.
RMC and Holman, same reason as Scoop, the berserker comment. Could be just a good wolf move but I didn't think it was at the time it happened.

I've talked about them plenty but your post kind of scrambled that around.
I think it was Monday that I posted my current threat list where I beleived you were a wolf based on your previous posts as well as Lagom and Holman.
I'm a bit in the same train as Lassr, he's been on Remus case and I've been on Holman's case for so long that I've been distracted from the big picture and need to start over from the start without any pre-existing opinions.
You going "pretty sure the shooter is alive"
Lagom going is it because you're the seer/shooter?
People kinda aggreeing
Then you not confirming anything
That makes me really wonder, what the hell is going on at this exact moment because you post something that can be perceived as very important info and then you shut us down... How are we supposed to react to that?
